"Sehunnie~" The bed shifted under Taos weight as he slowly moved to trap Sehun under himself. 
"You promised~" Sehun's breath caught in his throat as Taos breath hit his ear, before he closed that devilish mouth of his around it giving it a quick and playful nip. 
Sehun's eyes snapped open and darkness flooded his vision. 
Tao wasn't there..

The needle tears a hole 
The old familiar sting
Try to kill it all away
But I remember everything.

"Come with me." Sehun looked up from his phone, and over at his boyfriend who was staring at him with his best puppy dog eyes. 
"No." 
Tao instantly whined and wiggled his way over to in front of Sehun. 
"Why not? You'll love California." 
Sehun just rolled his eyes and turned his attention back to his phone. 
"Why are you even going? You said you'd never leave." 
Tao just sighed and moved to place a kiss to Sehun's cheek. 
"It's not like I'm not coming back."

What have I become 
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know goes away
In the end 

"How's California treating you?" Sehun asked trying his best to hold back from yawning. 
"Pretty well, I'm having a blast." Tao's voice was still thick with sleep and Sehun could picture him perfectly. 
"Are you coming back soon? We all miss you." 
Tao sighed softly and Sehun's heart sank at the sound.
"I don't know sehunnie..I think being here is what's best for me right now." 
Tao could practically hear Sehun's heart breaking through the silence. 
"Get some sleep sehunnie, I'll call you tonight alright? I love you."

Tao knew he was hurting Sehun, but he couldn't help it. He just didn't know how to tell Sehun he wasn't coming back to him or EXO. So he kept promising and promising that he would, he didn't want to hurt him the way Luhan had, but he was. And sooner or later he'd have to stop lying to himself and to Sehun. 

I wear this crown of thorns 
Upon my liars chair
Full of broken thoughts 
I cannot repair

"Sehun!" Kai shouted as he practically broke down the door to Sehun's room. 
"What!?" He replied nearly jumping out of his skin. 
"you have to see this!" Kai exclaimed holding his laptop out in front of him. 
"What?" Sehun questioned again scooting over to make room for him to sit down with him. 
Kai quickly sat down next to him and opened his laptop showing Sehun the screen. In bold letters above a video read 
'Z.Tao - T.A.O MV' 
"What's this?" Sehun managed to whisper clearly in disbelief. 
"Tao clearly stating he isn't coming back is what it is." Sehun frowned and shook his head. 
"He hasn't answered my texts or calls recently, and I guess now I know why." Kai wrapped his arm around Sehun's shoulders and pulled him close seeing the tears slowly collect in his eyes as realization hit him. Tao wasn't coming back to him and never intended too, he was just to much of a coward to admit it. 

"Can I watch it alone?" He asked softly as he removed himself from Kai's side. 
"Yeah sure." Kai smiled softly before excusing himself. 
Sehun took a deep breath before hitting play and letting his tears fall silently. 
Tao looked good, so good, and his heart began to beat roughly against his chest at the sound of his smooth voice. He wanted to hear him calling his name, telling him he loved him, but he knew he'd never hear that again. Tao wasn't the same person he was before he left, he changed. He moved on.
