Love You No DifferentAfter a refreshing bathe, I decided to take a stroll around my living quarters since A’Li couldn’t sneak me outside the palace walls due to all the chaos of a runaway assassinator roaming inside. In addition, the Emperor decreed to have more guards on patrol just in case the assassinator appears which made it impossible for me to even try to leave. Walking around the garden and crossing the bridge, I stopped halfway when I spotted Consort Xue and Crown Prince Yan enjoying themselves. Happily like new lovers, they chatted and seemingly touched each other’s hand while gazing passionately into their partner’s eyes. Glaring at them made me wanted to vomit out my breakfast food and glad that I didn’t accompany them for tea. I continued to stare at them from afar as I heard them spoke nice words; Consort Xue asking if Crown Prince Yan was harmed last night. He answered her showing more compassion and warm expression along with his charming smile that lures every women. Somehow watching them made my chest felt displeasure and tightness as my eyes narrowed somberly.
I think when I married him, I did like him, but he did not like me. After he effortlessly lifted the red wedding veil, he turned around and left the wedding chamber. He didn’t even drink the sweet marriage wine. I exhaled wearily as I knew that watching them would only torture me, yet I couldn’t pull away. He obviously had someone he loved, but I had no choice but to marry him. As a result he hates me and my days here are unhappy. Although I am his first wife, he has never shown me compassion and love unlike how he showed Consort Xue. I am not mad that he’s spending his time with her, but my heart is in discontent.
“Crown Princess” the maids greeted me as soon as they saw me as they bowed down.
I quickly hid my gloomy expression as I faced them, happened to notice that they’re carrying trays of delicious snacks. Without asking, I rudely snatched a rice cake from the tray and devoured most of the snacks that I enjoyed eating.
“Crown Princess” a maid said, getting worried.
“What?” I glare at the maid who tried speaking up, “Do you have an issue with me eating?”
“No” she retorts in fear, “This maid wouldn’t dare to”
“Then tell me, who are you sending these snacks for?” I ask.
“I’m sending them to Crown Prince Yan and Consort Xue”
“Perfect” I said clapped my hands together with excitement, “They’re all mine” I grabbed the plate making the maid more worried.
“Don’t worry, I’ll make sure Consort Xue doesn’t find out that some of her snacks are missing” I smiled brightly as I only grabbed one plate off the tray. As soon as I was about to turn to leave, Consort Xue and Crown Prince Yan made their way to us already noticing the commotion I’m creating for the maids.
“Xiao Hua, what’s going on?” Consort Xue ask one of her maids while glanced towards me who’s holding a piece of evidence--- the plate.
I smile widely at them, “Don’t mind?”
“How strange,” Consort Xue said, “I personally asked Crown Princess to join us for tea and yet she’s here with our snacks instead” she meant to say that I’m stealing her snacks.
I scoff as I set the plate back in the tray as the maids took two steps back away from us. I pushed my sleeves up as I said, “Consort Xue, don’t take this the wrong way but I couldn’t resist the tasty food so I wanted to try them first”
“You should have said so; I would have sent you some. You didn’t have to sneakily tried them”
“Are you accusing me of stealing?”
“I didn’t say that”
“You-” I pointed at her as Shen Qing glares at me with his despicable eyes.
“Okay, I’m the bad one here” I said, leaving.
