Dawn emerges while birds chirps beautifully; the sun rays peaking through the screened windows as I naturally opened my lethargical eyes. I got up and decided to get my knife back before everyone is awake especially Crown Prince Yan. I sneaked out of my bedroom and made sure our residence has no sight of maids or guards. When I confirmed that there’s no movement, I speedily walk towards his bedroom. I hastily push open the door meeting Consort Xue, who’s feeding Crown Prince Yan medicine. I froze at the entrance.

“Morning, Crown Princess. Are you here to check up on Crown Prince Yan?” Consort Xue asks, glancing over to me.

I swallowed my saliva with difficulty, “Yes” I lied as my eyes met with his. Since Consort Xue is still facing me, his lips drew a smuggest smirk as he peaks out my knife from his sleeve.

“You” I spoke under my breath as I took a step forward.

“Is something wrong?” Consort Xue asks.

“Forget her” Shen Qing grabs Consort Xue’s hand as she turns to face him again, “I still need to take my medicine” Consort Xue smiles as she continues to feed him his medicine.

“Consort Xue, can you please leave us alone for just a few minutes?” I politely ask.

“Sure” she answers as she sets the medicine bowl on the table and dismissed herself. She closes the door on her way out.

“You’re looking for this?” He waves my knife in the air. I rapidly tried to seize it back but he moves his hand back making me unable to reach it.

“What do you want exactly?” I infuriatingly ask.

“Hm” he thought deeply as he tucks the knife inside his robe belt, “Kiss me”

“Huh?!” my jaw drops, “You’re insane, right? What makes you think I’ll do that?”

“Okay, then don’t be expecting to get your knife back” he grabs the medicine from the table. I sat on the stool in front of him and grasp his hand from taking away the bowl.

“Then don’t be thinking you can take your medicine either”

“You’re trying to kill me again? That’s a big offense; death will be your punishment and I won’t be able to help you again” he releases his hand.

“So what if you can’t help me again? I still have A’Li” I push the medicine further from him.

“Right. Then I need to make sure she leaves with Qi Shi before your death”

I glare at him, “I still have Yi Chen”

“Yi Chen?” he looks mad, “Who is he?”

“My savior”

“Your savior?” he scoffs.

“Yes. My savior. He’s better than you. He can fight and protect me”

“Okay” he grabs both of my arm and leans closer to me, “But don’t forget that you’re mine”

I scoff and push his hands away from me, “I’m not your’s. You are you. I am I. We don’t belong to each other. Plus, you have Consort Xue that belongs to you”

He glares at me, “I forbid you to go out next time and see Yi Chen”

“Who do you think you are being able to command me?! Just because we’re married, it doesn’t mean anything to me” I furiously retort.

“You!-”

“Crown Prince Yan” a maid interrupts us from outside.

“What?!” he yells.

“Consort Fang and her family are being executed, please go save them!” the maid pleads.

“Death punishment?” I ask arching an eyebrow.

“Okay, I understand. You may leave” Shen Qing orders.

“You’re not going?” I ask him when he hasn’t gotten up.

“Only if you me” he answers.

I mumble to myself as I helped him dressed up.
