Love You No DifferentOn my way to my living quarters, Consort Fang, who married Crown Prince Yan before Consort Xue, and her maids stopped in front of me. Blocking my way on purpose, I glare at her with an annoyed expression as I tried to walk away from her.
“Stop!” she shouted as I stood where I was waiting for her to speak. From her sleeves, she pulled out an edict stamped with Empress Dowager’s seal reading while I got down on my knees in front of her to receive the words from the edict.
“Crown Princess Xiang Yun, the wife of Crown Prince Yan Shen Qing is to be reported immediately to Kai Hua Hall without any delay” she closes the scroll once she’s done.
“Crown Princess Xiang Yun will do so” I said politely laid both of my hands out as she places the edict in my hand before she’d left.
Kai Hua Hall is actually Empress Dowager’s residence, where no one is allowed to enter unless it’s her trusted workers. Rumors have it that countless assassins tried to murder her because she caused harmed on many people’s lives whether it be royal members or commoners outside the palace walls. A’Li told me that she refused Crown Prince Yan’s marriage with me, but since the Emperor favored my country she didn’t dare to anything to kick me out of Crown Prince Yan’s life.
“Crown Princess Xiang Yun greets Empress Dowager” I said, bowed down courteously as she signals me to stand up. She was sitting down in front of me enjoying her ginger tea as I impatiently waited for her to speak.
“So how are you and Ah Qing?” she asks. Ah Qing is Crown Prince Yan’s childhood name.
“Crown Prince Yan and I are doing fine. Thanks for worrying” I politely answered.
“I heard you got hurt instead of Ah Qing”
“Are you really asking about our well-being or do you want something?” I said with a rude manner yet with a polite voice.
Empress Dowager amusingly said, “You’re smart Xiang Yun, so I’ll get to the point. Consort Fang was drugged the other day claiming that you drugged her to harm her unborn child”
“Ridiculous!” I raised my voice, “What evidence do you have to accuse me of such crime?”
“This” she threw me white piece of paper. I grabbed the paper reading; it was a medicine receipt regarding the drugged bought under my signature seal.
“Someone feigned my seal!” I said, crumpled the note.
“Crumple that note all you want. I already sent it to the Justice Department; today you’ll be receiving your punishment”
“Outrageous! I didn’t-”
“Complain all you want. You’re just lucky that Consort Fang pleaded to not have you on a death penalty for the sake of Crown Prince Yan’s reputation. You should be more considerate like her”
I scoff angrily wanted to retort back, but knew it’s pointless if I did so I simply turned around and left the room.
