Chanwoo has a tattoo sleeve (tattoo completely covering the arm) that consists of abrstract shapes, roses, chains and two written sentence running down his arms, one is 'Music Is My Passion', and the second is, 'My Family Is My Support'. Chanwoo has another written tattoo on his back just below his neck with the writing 'Never Give Up, Never Back Down'. Chanwoo also a small 4cm scar on the back of his right hand, situated near the middle of his thumb and his index finger after he accidently cut it on a knife.

Chanwoo has a fairly simple fashion, he won't show off too much with different styles as he opts for the simple t-shirt and jeans look most of the time. For inside the dorm, its pretty much the same as casual but if its airport fashion, he'll show off a bit more with jackets, scarves, headphones, sunglasses, etc. In the case of practice attire, Chanwoo wears a singlet and loose shorts, as well as sneakers.

At first look you might feel that Chanwoo looks intimidating but remember that you can't always judge a book by its cover. Despite his tattoos and general lack of emotion shown on his face, Chanwoo is kind at heart and will go out his way to help another if needed but don't be too fast to take advantage of his kind and caring side, he hates it when people try to take advantage of his kind nature and will not be afraid to show his colourful volcabulary, Chanwoo isn't someone to be messed with.

 

With friends, Chanwoo likes to be the one making ideas but sometimes his ideas can go overbooard and he ends up getting in trouble or in hospital with a broken arm. Born and raised in Seoul, Chanwoo was expected to follow his father's footsteps in the electronic business but from a young age, Chanwoo grew up listening and enjoying rap music, along with a little idol music. Chanwoo's father, Junghyuk, disowned his son after Chanwoo wished to pursue a career in music, he was disappointed and outraged that Chanwoo would pick a useless career. His mother, Minah, was a little disappointed but her mindset soon changed when she saw how much Chanwoo enjoyed rapping, she go to the smile on his face they she barely ever witnessed when they were home. Chanwoo ended up being kicked out of the house at 18 by his father but found refuge with his best friend and fellow underground rapper, Jinhwan. Chanwoo ended up getting a tattoo sleeve because his admiration of them but made sure to include a tattoo of writing saying 'My Family Is My Support' indicating his mother and his little sister, Danah's support for his love of music. Danah would visit him often and would be the one to influence him to audition for SM Entertainment.

Chanwoo was 15 when he was introduced to the underground rap community by his friend Jinhwan who shared the same rap passion as he did. For four years, Chanwoo observed and partcipated in the underground rap scene, learning from other rappers and developing his owns skills, further improving his rap. It was at 19 that Chanwoo was llong for a change of scenery, a new challenge, he wanted to showcase his rapping skill at higher level, he wanted to become an idol rapper. Chanwoo knew he would be getting a lot of hate as the underground rappers did not look kindly at Idol rappers but Chanwoo set out with a point to prove that Idol rappers could be just as good as the underground rappers and that he could show everyone his amazing rap talent.

 

Danah, his younger sister, had suggested that Chanwoo audition for SM Entertainment, he was sceptical at first because he knew that SM Entertainment gave their idols no creative freedom but he soon changed his mind and decided to audition because he knew this was the type of challenge he was looking for, that even without creative freedom, he could still try to showcase his talents. It was fair to say that Chanwoo was nervous when he first stepped in front of the judges but left looking confident after wowing them with his amazing rap ability, he was something they didn't have, a pure will and determination in his rapping ability. Chanwoo was accepted as a trainee and soon began to learn improve on other skills such as dancing and singing. Chanwoo learned to adjust to raps in idol songs but also when the company let him, he would write his own rap lyrics and show them to the producer.  Chanwoo's schedule was grueling and tiresome but he would usually power through and get each and every schedule done without complaint, he wanted to get closer to his dream of being an idol rapper who could be as good an udnerground rapper.
