Background :

Sohee was born at St. Helier Hospital in Sutton, a large suburban town on the lower slopes of the North Downs in South West London, England. She was the second daughter of the Kwon family. Her brother Hyunsoo being three years older than her. 
Her father owned a prestigious law firm in Sutton, so her family lived a pretty comfortable life. Her mother was a housewife who dedicated all her time in taking care of her children and making sure everything was well. 
They lived like a normal family, her parents having the usual problems, and her brother and her having their own.

Sohee did well in school, and even thought she wasn't the best, she never failed any subject; in the afternoons, Sohee would go and hang out with her friends, who would call her 'Sophie' since they said it was easier to pronounce and it fit her well.

Later in her life, Sohee discovered K-POP and she fell in love with it. She had always loved to sing but she never thought she would make it as a singer in western countries because she was asian, but she saw an opportunity in becoming a singer in her grandparent's country, Korea.

She talked to her parents about the idea of going there and see if she could become a singer. She had seen that SM was holding auditions the next year and she really wanted to go. At first, her parents didn't aprove, but after countless begging, they agreed. 

She went to Korea with a friend that could actually speak the language so that she wouldn't get lost or something. And when she finally auditioned and got in, she was very happy. 
She returned to England only to go back to Korea three weeks later to start her training. Her father wasn't pleased with the outcome of the situation but couldn't really do anything about it. But when Sohee left, neither of them said goodbye to each other, since they were angry.

And thus, she went to Korea and began her trainee years in order to fulfill her dream, not knowing what the future held for her...

Personality : 
Sohee was mostly raised by her mother, since she was a housewife. She always thought her daughter to be kind to everyone, even if they were rude to her, she always told her: "If you have to choose between being kind and being right, choose being kind and you will always be right" and Sohee learned to live by that motto, sometimes being too kind. Sohee just got used to apologize a lot, therefore she sometimes says sorry without knowing what she did wrong.

Sohee grew up without many friends because it was hard for her to make them, being the shy girl she was. She has always had a cheerful personality, so even if she didn't have friends to play with, she'd play by herself. Now, when she's able to make a friend, she'll cherish him/her a lot and will always try to make the people close to her as happy as possible.

Sadly, Sohee is one of the most forgetful and clumsy people you'll ever meet. Her parents always nagged her because she'd often forget her lunch or school projects at home. The thing is that Sohee doesn't really pay much attention to her parents because she's always thinking of something else, being in her own perfect world, and her parents hate that. 

Sohee has one flaw that she hates about herself, but no matter what she does, cannot change: she's a coward. Be it watching a horror movie, or confronting people or problems, she just panics, she absolutely hates it. That's why she was bullied at school sometimes, because she wouldn't do anything to stop the bullies. 

Despite not being the most perfect person in the world, Sohee is a hardworker, just like her mother. Whenever she's up to do something, she won't stop until it's done and she's happy with it; no matter how long it takes to finish it. 

Overall, Sohee is a sweet and naive girl who can be a little clueless of her sorroundings, but when she does focus on something, she works hard to get it.

Personality : 

There's no specific word to describe Hongbin, he's just...Special.  When you meet him at first, he's super quiet and awkward, he'll just talk to you if completely necesary, so don't expect much from him if you're not friends. Also, he's super awkward with girls, so if you're a girl, it'll be even more hard for him to aproach you.

Once he opens up though, it's a complete different story: He's a very goofy guy that loves skinship, loves to make people laugh and is a complete sweetheart. Honbin gets easily excited, therefore he's happy most of the time. He's a very loving guy who likes to treat everyone in a nice way.

Hongin loves to smile and to make people smile as well, also, he's very calm and will help to solve any situation as peacefully as possible, without anyone getting harmed. He's also a very hardorking person and he tries his best to make everything as perfectly as possible.

When he likes a girl he tries to get her attention as much as possible, but not in a loud or scandalous way, but with little details here and there, so that she feels special and not just like any other girl. 
When it comes to Sohee, he's very protective of her, and whenever she's sick with cough or something similar, he gets very worried, thinking that her asthma may strike. 

How you met : 

Sohee and Hongbin met after Twinkle had debuted. Hongbin was a special MC for a music show they were in. Sohee was obviously excited because she always thought Honbin was handsome and she'd finally be able to catch a climpse of him in real life. 

When Twinkle finished performing and were returning to their dressing room, Sohee decided to stop and take a selca of the back of the stage, because why not? When she finished, she noticed the rest weren't there anymore and she didn't really pay attention to where the dressing rooms were. 

She was about to panic when someone tapped her shoulder. She turned around and found a staff member asking if everything was okay. She asked for directions and headed straight to where the man told her. 
Just when she was about to arrive to her destination, she saw him, walking along one of s. She just stood there, dazed. She thought he looked even more handsome in person than on TV. 

As Hongbin and the other VIXX member walked past her, she bowed and greeted them in the most awkward way possible. They greeted her back and continued their way. She sighed in relief as they left, but just when she had started walking, someone ran into her from behind.

She turned around and found Hyuk, the other VIXX member. She asked him if he needed anything and he nodded. "You see, hyung said that you were very pretty and wanted to meet you" She just stood there, confused. "He did?" She really couldn't believe her VIXX bias wanted her number. "Not really, but I know he will. So give me your number, so I can give it to him later when he says so" She gave him the number, still confused of the situation. Hyuk left as quick as he arrived and left Sohee in a daze once again.

She came back into the dressing room and told the rest of the members what had happened, still not believing it herself.

The next day, she recieved a text from an unknown number that said:
"Hi... This is VIXX Hongbin. We kind of met yesterday? This may sound awkward but my groupmates are forcing me to do it. (⌒_⌒;)
I really thought you were cute, let's hang out sometime, okay? (｡≍ฺ‿ฺ≍ฺ)"

And that was the start of their "friendship".

How you act around each other :  

Hongbin and Sohee are very awkward around each other, but not because they're not close, but because they both like each other. Actually, ever since that time when he texted her to hang out, they started texting each other almost every day, since because they're both very busy, they can't see each other. They'd sometimes do videocalls, but that's not very common.

Hongbin is always trying to make Sohee smile, whether it is by saying compliments to her or by making her laugh.
Like stated before, whenever they meet in person, they're pretty awkward in a cute way, like, he stutters when he speaks and she just blushes a lot, making people tease them because of that. 
While it's quite obvious that they like each other, none of them has had the courage to confess.

How did you get in the agency? : 

Sohee always wanted to be a singer, but her parents never really aproved. She kept insisting that they should let her try until they finally agreed. She was allowed to audition with the condition that if she failed, she'd never try to follow that "foolish" dream and she accepted.

She auditioned for SM in the Global Auditions in 2011 held in Seoul. She was very nervous that day, because one; she didn't speak a drop of korean and two; because she could see and hear that there were people there that were tremendously talented.
Sohee sang 'Because of You' by Kelly Clarkson as her audition song and she passed all the rounds, making her one of the few people that were selected to be part of SM in the Seoul audition.

How were your trainee days :  

Since Sohee couldn't speak a single word in Korean, it was very hard for her at first. Luckily, SM signed her up for korean lessons as soon as she signed with the agency. Seeing that Sohee didn't speak their languange, she didn't have many korean friends and they'd sometimes bully her, pushing her around and telling her to go back home and leave Korea to koreans... wich was kind of lame, since her ethnicity was korean.

After all the bullying, she decided not to talk to the rest of the trainees, she just quietly practiced and tried to ignore any hateful comment she'd recieve. 
One time, she heard a few trainees speaking in english, and that's when she suddenly just said 'Hi' to them. They were friendly enough to greet her, and started making conversation with her, obviously understanding what she had been trough. 

Once she found her group of friends, it wasn't that difficult to be in Korea anymore. And after she started improving with the languange, everything was easier. 

As for the training part, she'd practice very hard every day, trying to improve her dance skills who were close to horrible. After all the efforts, she was finally able to dance decently, but still had a hard time learning the difficult steps. When it came to singing, the training wasn't so intense, because her voice was decent, she just needed to fix some details here and there, but she still had to practice everyday.
