(+) "My mom and I are, in many ways, quite similar. We're both creative, gregarious and energetic"
Soohyun is a person who's always looking for something to do, as she has much energy within herself. Her mother and her are alike in that aspect; her mother could visit five or more patients a day and still wouldn't be tired, because she loved what she did. Same thing happens with Soohyun; as long as she's doing something she enjoys, or that knows will help someone in dispair, she'll have the energy and willpower to do it. 

(+/-) "'Tis not enough your counsel still be true; blunt truths more mischief than nice falsehoods do"
Soohyun grew up with very few friends because, even thought she was friendly with everyone and didn't have a hard time at making friends, people would walk away because of some things she'd say. You see, Soohyun doesn't really have that filter that tells you not to say something or to say it in a kinder way; if she thinks something about you, she'll most likely say it to your face, just the way it is, no matter how harsh it sounds. Very few people like to be told the truth to their faces, so they would stop talking to her. Since Soohyun is pretty talkative, you never know what she might say, but few of her closest friends have adquired the ability to detect when she's going to say something people find offensive and they quickly change the topic or shut her up.

(-) "I'm terribly forgetful. I've lost laptops, cellphones. I haven't lost my head only because it's attached to my head"
Sadly, Soohyun is one of the most forgetful and clumsy people you'll ever meet. Her parents always nagged her because she'd often forget her lunch or school projects at home. The thing is that Soohyun doesn't really pay much attention to her parents because she's always thinking of something else, being in her own perfect world, and her parents hated that. Perhaps because she's so absentminded, she can be pretty gullible too. If you tell her something, she'll most likely believe it, even if it's a lie, that is because she trusts people too easily and can't see when she's being lied to, which can end up badly sometimes.

(-) "I guess you could say I'm cautious, or a coward"
Soohyun has one flaw that she hates about herself, but no matter what she does, cannot change: she's a coward. Be it watching a horror movie, confessing her love to someone or confronting people and/or problems, she just panics, she absolutely hates it. That's why she was bullied at school sometimes, because she wouldn't do anything to stop the bullies. Her parents and her brother tried to help her overcome her cowardness, but they were never able to. 

(-) "I try not to be resentful, I really do, but I just can't bring myself to do it"
Another major flaw that Mia has is her resentfullnes. Yes, she's sunshine and rainbows most of the time; but prevent yourself from doing anything harmful towards her in any way, as there is a big chance she won't forgive you for it and she'll never speak to you again. Soohyun has lost many friends do to her resentfulness, sometimes she regrets it, but she remembers something they did to her and the anger comes back. It's not like she'll yell at them, 'cause she's afraid of how they'll react, but instead she'll just ignore them until they cease to contact her.

Her father was part prestigious law firm in Montréal, so her family lived a pretty comfortable life. Her mother was a veterinarian who dedicated all her time in taking care of sick animals at the Plateau Mont Royal Veterinary Clinic. Soohyun always admired what her mother did and she promised she would be just like her when she grew up. 
Soohyun did well in school, and even thought she wasn't the best, she never failed any subject; in the afternoons, Soohyun would go and hang out with her friends, who would call her ''Élise', her english name given by her canadian family, since they said it was easier to pronounce than her Korean name and it fit her well.

In 2005, when Soohyun was 10 years old, his father was offered a better job back in his home country, Korea- so the whole family moved to Seoul that year. At first, it was a bit hard for Soohyun and her brother to adapt to their new home, since they weren't fluent enough to comunicate with people, but after a few months, they started to like the place.

Since Soohyun liked to sing since she was young and grew up watching korean idols, she decided she wanted to become one. She prepared a lot and when she felt like she was ready, she auditioned. Soohyun auditioned for SM Entertainment in the 2010 auditions held in Seoul. She was very nervous that day, because  because she could see and hear that there were people there that were tremendously talented.
Soohyun sang "Because of You"by Kelly Clarkson as her audition song and she passed all the rounds, making her one of the few people that were selected to be part of SM in the Seoul audition; she was completely happy.

Almost at the end of 2012, she decided to leave SM because she was overworked and mistreated... Just like most of their idols, but she couldn't really stand it. One of SM's staff that had become her friend told her she should audition to cube Entertainment, where she probably would be treated better. She listened to her friend and after being released from SM, she looked online whether cube would be holding auditions soon, luckily for her, they would be holding auditions in around a month. She prepared as much as she could and she sang "Best thing I never had"  by Beyoncé, she almost didn't pass the auditions because she was very nervous, but she luckily managed to, earning herself a place in the company.

— Soohyun is really scared of thunder- and to make things worse, when there's a thunderstorm, there's a chance that the lights go out and she's left in complete darkness- which happens to be her biggest fear.
— Besides Louis, her dog, she owns a hedgehog called Koi; only Koi lives with her at the dorm though. Lous lives with her family in Gangnam.
— Her favorite color is sky blue.
— Due to her fear of darkness, she sleeps with a nightlight.
— People say that her laugh is weird, but at the same time funny.
— Has terrible sense of direction, therefore she gets lost quite easily.
— Soohyun can play the piano quite well.
— Sometimes, she mixes French and Korean accidentaly and creates Krench, as she calls it.
— She's currently enrolled in Korea National University of Arts as a Music Major.
— Soohyun is not a very good swimmer, so she doesn't go into pools that are too deep.
— She suffers from Acrophobia (fear of heights)
— Soohyun is allergic to sea food.
— Soohyun once had a goldfish and it died when she went on vacation, she swore never to have a fish ever again.

— Hobbies: playing the piano, reading romance or fantasy novels, writing lyrics for songs.

jaebum is always trying to make Soohyun smile, whether it is by saying compliments to her or by making her laugh.Like stated before, whenever they meet in person, they're pretty awkward, but not in a "the air around here is so thick oh my god this is so awkward" way, but in a cute way, like, he stutters when he speaks and she just blushes a lot, making people tease them because of that.  And while it's quite obvious that they like each other, none of them has had the courage to confess.
