Its been a few days and I have been reading articles about the SNSD and 2ne1 controversy and I couldnt' resist writing my opinion on this. Note: I am neither a SONE or a Blackjack. 

Okay here it goes. It's such a shame that these two groups are involved in such a controversy. The two groups have totally different styles of music and in my opinion should be respected individually.

Lets break it down shall we?

2ne1 has this unique feel when it somes to their music, style and etc. SNSD has this girl power feeling to it, you know like they can survive in the kpop world where most boy groups are dominating. (in my opinion) With two different styles in music, I kinda like both music. So both should be respected... right?

SNSD has been in the biz longer than 2ne1. Okay, I admit that. I admire SNSD for being able to break the trend and be complete as a group versus other groups that has disbanded. While 2ne1 may have debuted two years later than SNSD they also break the trend.

I'll end the comparison regarding their styles there. Both are great kpop groups.

But, there is this issue on SNSD's reaction to when 2ne1 won on a certain music program. Personally, I think 2ne1 deserved to win on that show. I'm not saying that SNSD's performance was bad. But, the stage performance of 2ne1 versus that of SNSD was better for me. Plus, I liked Come Back Home more than Mr.Mr. So, I go for 2ne1 more.

I like other fans and netizens noticed SNSD's reaction and it was a bit unfair for me. Sure, SNSD expected to win but they should have at least showed some respect. You can't win in everything. People have different tastes so maybe at that time most people preferred 2ne1's performance and song better. Also, I took notice of Key and Baekhyun's reaction. I was not happy with it either.

Yet,maybe the whole clip/news have been blown out of proportion. I mean there can be a chance that SNSD had also congratulated 2ne1 and that their reactions may not be the whole story. The way that the video was shown clearly showed SNSD's dissatisfaction but it may not be the whole scenario. Maybe SNSD was going to another schedule or was tired or was pressed for time? Maybe the camera only focused on them and not at the other artists that may have the same reaction? Who knows?

I am not justifying their actions but people should just give them a break. It's over. It's done. Move on. Let's just enjoy both group's music and carry on loving kpop.

These fanwars are not doing anyone good. Though it is good as a fan to protect your idol and support them, you should also learn to respect other fandoms. In this controversy I'd like people to be open to two perspectives. Both SNSDs and 2ne1's. Let's love each other more than hate each other.

That's all and I hope I offended no one about this. I'm just voicing out my opinion.
