I'm starting to write by hand again

I'm starting to write stories and fics by hand again. I don't know about you guys but I always prefered to write by hand. It take me back to my elementary, high school and college days when I would be writing stories instead of taking down notes in class. I had lots of fun writing them in class.

Though it is convenient now that you can directly write anything in a tablet or computer, I still prefere writing by hand. Though I haven't done it in ages.

I remember when I was in class during high school and my teacher caught me writing one of my stories instead of listening to her boring lecture about angles and graphs (it was in geometry class and I was bored to death). She confiscated my notebook and gave us a surprise quiz just to teach me a lesson. I couldn't even begin to decribe the weird laser like looks that my classmates were giving me. I have to admit, it was stupid of me to be unattentive when I was sitting right in front of the teacher's table.

So, while we were taking the quiz, unknown to me my teacher ,must have been curious to what was occupying my mind while class was going on that she read my stuff. She must have expected to read about me complaining how boring her class was. But there was nothing like that. I don't remember the title of the story that I was writing but it must have been about a man that was supposed to die but was given the time to say goodbye to his loved ones.

After the quiz she made me stay behind while the rest of my classmates were going to lunch. I expected her to lecture me about paying attention to class and so on. To my surprise she gave me back my note book and asked if she could borrow the first chapters of the story. She told me she enjoyed reading it.

You guys have no idea how surprised I was or how happy I had been that day. I used to write better than my current works. Ever since I had my seizures, my english had been off and I had problems describing things and writing them down. I even have the difficulty in giving simple instructions. If you ask me  to describe what my friend looked or what did I enjoy about a movie or a drama I wouldn't be able to give you a proper answer.

Anyways back to the topic. I re-read my old works and I was proud of the things that I wrote. They were mostly poems and stories about romance and angels. I had the thing for angels back then and which why I was thrilled when Teukie's fan club were called "Angels".  I know I have a long way to go before I start to write the way I used to back then.

Practice makes perfect right? I'm also glad that I am able to read books again and actually follow the plot. I can now imagine what the characters are feeling and the setting of the story. (Yey for me).

Writing by hand gave me confidence. I will still write using the computer though. But... it feels good when I have a pen in my hand and paper in front.

I have written a long entry this time but I hope this will inspire some of you. I never gave up on writing and even though I am still a bit behind on some writers. (I know a lot who I envy because they write so damn good).

Love you guys!

I like writing in a notebook. Of course, I will change words or move sentences around when I type things in, but there's something very enjoyable about putting pencil to paper. Don't worry about writing the way you used to. Just be happy to write now. As long as you are enjoying it, that's what's most important! I look forward to reading whatever you decide to share! <3

It happened to me before.. Key, remember Ms. valentine? She caught me too but I was writing poems and after class, she told me to go to the mariale office and submit my poems.. You know what happened next... Anyways, it's good to hear that you're writing by hand again... Mostly, these days, I'm using computer so I kinda miss writing by hand... Way to go, key...:D
