BACKGROUND.
i. nasan
chulsoo was often attached to insoo as a kid. he was the shy kid that would hide behind his big brother. back in nasan, he remembers wanting to help his parents so badly. they gave him a basked of garlic to peel, and even if he only peeled a few for the whole day, he felt happy that he could help out. looking back at it now, he didn't really do much. his parents often asked him to join insoo with their grandpa so he did. his memories of nasan include a mundane life in elementary school, running on the beach at night, hanging out with insoo and their grandpa, loud crying from his younger siblings, the strong smell of fish and a faint memory of playing catch.
ii. seoul
during middle school, he expressed an interest in playing baseball. training day and night and never letting go of his baseball glove even when taking a bath and during dinner, much to insoo's annoyance. he spent the whole of his high school as a quiet but popular kid. playing baseball very well, he was rumored to be scouted by a major league team. however, because of a loss their team had because a mistake he made, he strained his arm training non-stop afterwards and his dream of being korea's best relief pitcher suddenly went down the drain.
iii. atlanta
he had a long-time girlfriend during high school. however, after his injury, she seemed indifferent and broke up with him. his siblings consoled him a lot, because even though they made fun of him in the past for being lovey-dovey with her, they thought that they would end up marrying each other. insoo asked if he wanted to study in america to get away from her so he agreed and spent 4 years studying pharmacy in atlanta. he had difficulties speaking the language at first but he got better at it after making friends with the american-born korean he shared a dorm with.
iv. seoul pt. 2
coming back from america, he spent some time with his siblings. they haven't seen each other in a long time. apart from the few skype calls, they haven't been able to hang out a lot. during this time, he has gotten closer to the few siblings that wasn't insoo or young second. after getting a job at a hospital, he got busier. but after working for several years and saving enough money for himself, he quit and left for the army. he had just come back from his two-year service when he decided to move out into his own, and maybe gotten a penthouse apartment after kowtowing in front of young second and asking him to fill in the rest of the payment since he already used up his own savings to buy a gaming set-up.
LIFESTYLE.

YOUNG INSOO ( older brother )denies that he hid behind his brother for like 10 whole years during his childhood. chulsoo will prank his brother as payback for one of their sibs because sometimes insoo can honestly be too much while scolding their younger siblings and all. chulsoo knows he means well but he thinks insoo should loosen up a bit, loosen up a bit with the ladies, that is. honestly, his girls scare chulsoo so he's glad to have moved out. now that they're going to be together in nasan, that worry is resurfacing. overall, chulsoo is actually grateful for insoo, for his advices and for being there everytime. but sibs will be sibs, and its funny seeing him rage over edm music and learning that the girl he was talking to on tinder was just chulsoo catfishing.

chulsoo was in the middle of sipping on his home-made (instant) iced americano when insoo asked him the silly question. it caught him by surprise. he almost does a spittake but recovers, however he still exaggerated making choking noises. he makes eye contact with insoo, obviously asking 'are you serious?'. even though he knows in his heart that his favorite sibling is insoo, he couldn't take this question seriously and says jokingly 'because you'll make me the supervisor in young nasan a.k.a do nothing?'. he decides that being sappy and answering that insoo has been there for chulsoo as long as he can remember can be saved for another day.

CONCERNS. honestly he's like a shy young eighth in the body of a young second. my math so i hope he was already a kid and not a baby when they moved to seoul.
