APPEARANCE : 

— Ava had always stood out of the mass due to her height. She grew early on and waited for the others to pass her but they never did. To most people it makes her look older than she is, also her stoic facial expressions tend to make her look more like an adult than a teenager. Her ginger hair radiated the Slytherin common room and it's not very hard to spot her there. 

STYLE :

— Apart from the school uniform, she wears basic clothes around, nothing too fancy, but you would also never see her in sweatpants. She likes rings and a lot of them but other accessories are a bore to her. She usually wears her hair down, hating the headaches she gets from wearing it in a ponytail.

Ava was raised to be a good daughter, a good student and a good person. She never wanted to be what her heritage actually wanted from her, and she was so glad that her parents were different from her ancestors.

While being in kindergarden she never understood why the other children would call the others names, why there were some kids who looked like the others but apparently were different. Being a different blood is nothing she understood until her mother sat her down and explained to her that some people had this idea of being better in their mind, and no matter how wrong it was, she should really not say anything about it. 

She told Ava that even though it's bad to hide, sometimes you have to do it in order to protect your family and yourself. All throughout she knew it was wrong but at the same time wanted to be obedient. 

She knew her parents were scared of her being sorted into Slytherin when her Hogwarts letter finally came, but to Ava, it didn't matter. When she was indeed sorted into Slytherin it made sense to her. The first night in the dungeons she was told all those important things to Slytherin house. And funny how the world is, all those typical Slytherin traits were always seen in a bad way.

It's like being born again. No child is bad at birth. It was basically given life, a chance and it's up to it what it makes out of it. 

Being sorted into Slytherin was the same for her.

Being ambitious wasn't always wanting to be the best, loudest and most powerful, it could also mean wanting to do anything in your hand to protect the ones we love. To do better in life in order to care for those who are important to us.

Manipulating people is always seemed to be bad but in a degree, she would also manipulate other to think she wasn't a muggle supporter, even though she never clearly said it. Due to Slytherin being pretty much isolated from everyone else in Hogwarts the major theme of "Snakes protecting snakes" was established to basically force you to take your housemates sides, but especially in her first years at hogwarts, she would always be able to kind of sneak herself out of situations and get away with things somehow without contravening the rule. Nowadays, she was used to the rule and also follows it. She was able to make friends and would nothing and noone come for them, even if they were right ( Sort of like the "If someone is going to be cursing a slytherin because he's done something awful, it'd be her"). 

She had the desire in herself to prove her, to establish something of worth but was also constantly scared of the spotlight that it would give her. She never searched glory or attention, she just wanted to cause well in the world. It was hard for her, constantly being torn between the desire of recognition and the fear of being the center of attention.

And even though she loves rules and believes in hierarchy, she has the determination to do WHATEVER she has to save the ones she loves. And also sometimes just to see if she can get away with it (Especially if one of those obnoxious pureblood patriarchs again messed with someone and need a lecture) Of course, she always got away with it.

Ava had to learn to keep her feelings to herself, which is honestly a whole new level of mastery. She never shows if she's angry or sad or basically any negative feelings. ) In that way she was more like her housemates. In Slytherin, emotions were mostly seen as weakness and your struggles would be most likely held within. 

But after living in Slytherin house for so long, she grew fond of it, the people and the overall meaning of it. What really upsets Ava is, that she really believes without the whole pureblood thing SO MANY of her housemates were actually good people. They laugh together, spend time together and it's sad actually. She believes the stigma of Slytherins being bad people is outdated and hopes that one day, people wouldn't frown or be scared of Slytherins.

BACKGROUND : 

Ava was born as an only child of Olivia and Peter Travers. They lived in the countryside, far away from most of the wizarding drama but stayed low nevertheless. They were modest people and raised her daughter to become one as well. Much to their fear, Ava was sorted into Slytherin. For a glimpse the sorting head was torn between Hufflepuff aswell, but For them it was totally okay, they were Slytherins themself, but so knew knew what would expect her. Ava was aware that most muggle haters were in Slytherin and was scared to not find any friends. But her parents soon told her that being in Slytherin is okay, that she indeed is very ambitious and maybe there could be positive results coming from being sorted there. For them, it was totally okay, but they knew that being into Slytherin could also mean a big burden on their daughter. 

Much to their surprise Ava seemed to find her place at hogwarts over the years and even managed to make some new friends. Her best friend Astoria was all she could ask for and they both bonded over books. She of course was still cautious about the whole muggle and mudblood debate but soon figured out a way to cheat her way through risky situations. 

After hearing the news of Voldemort chasing muggleborn witches and wizards Ava wanted to go home, say something or fight, but was too scared to risk her family being hurt. Everyday she lives in tornment of doing the right thing, finding her bravery and speaking up against this nonsense but also being scared of Voldemort and the deatheaters hurting her friends and family.

Her mother was the most loving person she knew. She was her role model and they have a real close relationship. Ava is allowed to sometimes come along to the kindergarden when she has her summer break and is fancied by how her mother looks even more loving when looking at the kids.

FRIENDS : 

— father : Peter Travers / 46 / caring, stubborn, witty
Her father works from home so he is usually there whenever Ava returns from school. He has a law firm and works a lot so his family never had any money issues. He is loving as well and cares for his only daughter like a princess. 

OTHERS : 

— best friend : Astoria Greengrass / 15 / kind, funny, intelligent
They became friends ever since their first year and became friends right away. They both kinda never talked about Muggle-borns and mudbloods and every time the conversation came up somewhere they'd both turn quiet. Even though they both never openly admitted that they weren't against muggle-borns, they somehow knew.

— Depends. If her friends and family would be in danger and she needed to fight to save them. HELL YEAH. 

Are you worried about possibly being one of the casualties of war? : 

— No. She'll do what needs to be done. The world has already gone to the dogs, why not be a part of it.

Do you think you could kill someone for any reason? : 

— She will try anything to not kill a person. But in the matter of the battlefield, if she could be saving an innocent life with it, she'd do it.
