APPEARANCE — meet the girl with the big doe eyes and the small stature that goes by the name of bang yihyun. she might be above legal age, but many people still mistake her for a 12 year old (afterall, it's not hard to, after seeing her babyface and taking into account her petite height of 152 cm as well). her hair is cut into a cute, wispy layer, which helps to frame her tiny face, which is paired with a small, button-like nose and round lips that curve into a shy smile at times. jihyun prides herself on her ivory white skin that gleams with a slight slow, but despite that, she still does break out at times (especially when she's really stressed out), and you can often catch her applying a generous layer of concealer over her zits. most of the time, however, yihyun will have very minimal amounts of makeup on, only putting on the essentials and then going on with her day.

BACKGROUND — bang yihyun was born into the wee hours of the morning on a clear night in seoul, and legends say that she was born right as a wolf was outside the hospital window (legends as in her parents), and that may have been the start of yihyun's interest in horror and the supernatural. ever since she was young, she would always interest herself in the lore of scary characters and mythical worlds, constantly studying up on folklore about demons and creatures. it was an unconventional interest, but yihyun didn't mind. her soft exterior often didn't match up with her interests, which made it harder for her to make friends, but yihyun didn't care, she only cared about learning more about ghosts. she would try to look for ghosts in every 'haunted' house, but to no avail, and when she was in high school, she learned about a series on youtube called 'buzzfeed unsolved,' where two people try and find supernatural occurrences. it soon became her most favorite series and she would binge watch it time and time again.
she had always been interested in the underworld and the dealings of demons and such, but when it came to figuring out what she wanted in a career, she was stuck. yihyun had never been interested in anything conventional, and when it was senior year, she racked her brain for anything she would seem to be interested in. despite that, she was stumped and of course, the only way for her to understand what she wanted was to just watch a looped playlist of scary movies until she could figure it out. despite that, it was difficult for her to figure it out - until one day when she saw a news article from an entertainment company and saw the words 'public relations,' before immediately finding interest into it. yihyun couldn't tell you why, but it just sparked something in her, similar to how horror things just sparked within her, but she didn't even think about it much longer. she just jumped into the idea, and so far, it's working for her (surprisingly). she seems to have a knack for coming up with stories and fixing problems.
despite that, yihyun still had no idea where she wanted to go in terms of college. there were so many nice places that would offer so much, but when she was talking to her best friend, lee jeno, he casually mentioned that there was some sort of haunted housing complex at the university he was planning on applying too, and the words immediately caught her attention. haunted? yihyun was completely interested then. just like how she made her impulsive decision about her job, yihyun made an impulsive decision towards her college and when she got accepted, she immediately applied for the hwangmok house. yihyun literally lives her life on impulse decisions.

yihyun first met woori when she arrived at the hwangmok house, and the younger girl didn't hesitate to introduce herself when she saw the transfer student. of course, yihyun was very friendly and talkative, and while woori wasn't as hyperactive as the girl, they still had a decent first conversation with each other. from then on, yihyun would text the older girl randomly (though she does it with everyone, so she doesn't even give it a second thought), and while yihyun means well, woori tends to get annoyed at times. despite that, they get along well and have a good time at the house - though, not especially when yihyun is rattling around, trying to find ghosts.

ROOM DESCRIPTION — although yihyun looks like the type to be neat and organized, she's the complete opposite and is an actual mess. she never makes her bed in the morning, she piles everything onto any shelf or desk space she can find, and basically lives in a pigsty - cleaning is not her forte, as many can tell. her housemates always chide her for it, but yihyun always brushes it off with a "i'll clean it later!" though she never does, admittedly. she tends to keep her side of the room looking very pink and childish and it's as if a kid was living there, but nope, it's just yihyun (though she could pass off as a kid anyway).

LOVE STORY — johnny first met yihyun through jeno, who shared the room with him at namgung house. he introduced johnny to his best friend while the two were out on campus and happened to run into him, and johnny's first impression of yihyun was that she was very active and energetic. he was a relatively mellow person, so interacting with someone like yihyun was kind of interesting, but he liked her because she seemed cool. they also shared the same journalism class because that was johnny's elective, and yihyun didn't hesitate to approach him first and sit next to him. she blabbed about pretty much everything that she could, and from what johnny could remember, she seemed to be a pretty avid fan of supernatural things, which slightly miffed him because he wasn't quite into that at all. she would go on and on about it and johnny listened to her because he wanted to be polite (and because she was so interesting when it came to something she was passionate about), but he was intrigued as to why she was so interested in it. despite that, they started to get to know each other more because of the class and yihyun had the balls to ask for his number, to which he obliged.
at first, yihyun was the one to catch feelings because she liked how cool and kind johnny was. usually, she'd never feel that comfortable with telling others about her interest in paranormal activity, but with johnny, he was accepting of it and even asked her questions about it. usually, guys would be weirded out that she was so into it, but johnny didn't and that made her heart go doki doki for him (not to mention, he was extremely good looking). despite that, she wasn't experienced in relationships at all and she literally didn't know what to do, but came to jeno for help and the boy was useless. he barely had any clue as to what to do, concerning his roommate, and yihyun was miffed. how come her best friend was her worst wingman? it was frustrating, but as characteristically impulsive as she was, yihyun didn't hesitate to invite him out on a date (okay well maybe she hesitated a little bit, but pulled through in the end). johnny was admittedly very shocked because what? suddenly his friend - or secret admirer? - had asked him out on a date and he was very confused, especially since jeno didn't warn him about it or anything, so it's something that just randomly hit him.
despite that, he was trying to be nice and said yes, but yihyun took him to a haunted house and scared the wits out of him. he clung onto her arm and it was an interesting scene for bystanders to watch a grown man like him hold onto a small girl's arm, screaming about how he hated the experience and that it was awful. johnny felt like that was the opposite of how first dates are, but when he saw the warm grin on yihyun's face, that melted off any doubts he had and he reveled in how happy she appeared to be. admittedly, he had thought she looked very cute in the moment, but then again, she also took him to a haunted house, knowing that he wasn't too good with scary things, but then again that smile. johnny was weak and couldn't admit that he did like her until later on, when jeno cautiously asked him about the date.
at first, johnny wanted to say that it was the worst date he's ever had, but it couldn't come out of his mouth, probably because it wasn't true. of course, he didn't appreciate the haunted house, but it wasn't the worst date he's had in his life... in fact, it may have been one of the best because it's what helped him to realize how cute yihyun was.
while johnny tends to be slightly on guard with yihyun since she likes to just scare him randomly at times, he does appreciate her and at first, he's willing to take things slow because he doesn't want to rush into something if he is not 100% sure, to which yihyun agreed with, but in the end, it seems like he is the one falling harder for her than vice versa. it was even funny because a while later, yihyun revealed that the haunted house she took him to actually was the hwangmok house... oops.
