personality She's a very expressive person, and doesn't hide her feelings when she feels them, whether they be bad or good. It's convenient for those who want to know her true feelings, but she often gets taken advantage of. She's ambitious and will stop at nothing to achieve her goals even when she faces opposition. She's very stubborn about her goals, to the point of it almost becoming an obsession. Without this, she definitely wouldn't have made it as far as she did. Heeyeon is loyal, and when she gets attached to a person, she would do anything for them, and she gets attached easily.

Heeyeon is soft-hearted, and gets emotional and cries a lot. It's a complex for her, but she can't hide it. But her emotional quality is also emphasized by her rashness. Her temper is too short, and it doesn't help that she's an angry crier. She is also forgetful, and tends easily to forget where she places things, or choreography. She's also extremely indecisive. When Heeyeon is faced with a hard choice, she will think over it for hours, even days, only to randomly choose one of the choces because she can't make the decision.

background Heeyeon's mother was Thai and her father was Korean. They met in New York because they were both international students. After they graduated and got married, they moved to Seoul where Heeyeon and her twin sister Heehyun were born. They attended school, did all the normal kid stuff, etc.

At the beginning of high school, Heehyun got into an unspecified entertainment company. Heeyeon never knew her sister was interested in this, nor had she really considered becoming a trainee before, but when her sister became a trainee, Heeyeon started to consider that field. At first, it was only to research whatever her sister got herself into, but Heeyeon became interested in becoming an idol. She met a younger student named Moonhwan, who was a trainee at Pledis, and Moonhwan helped her a lot with finding companies. She auditioned for several companies, and made it into just one company, Dublekick, where she became a trainee for two years.

Under Dublekick, she greatly improved her singing, dancing, and rapping, and in 2016, she got the opportunity to debut in Finding Momoland. She worked hard to win the competition and became a fan-favorite, but still didn't make it into the final group because her stage aura radiated a different type of charisma than the rest of the lineup. There was something too sensual, too sultry about her presence on stage that didn't match well with the cute and fresh aura of the other members.

♛ One of the idol groups she loved in highschool was BTS, and she would constantly state Suga was her ideal type until she debuted (to avoid scandal)

Lee Heehyun: Heeyeon's twin; They look the same, but while Heeyeon has very light eyes, Heehyun has dark eyes, making it so that they couldn't do the twin-swap thing as kids. As the older twin, Heehyun is more on the motherly side, and and two get along well.

Sung Jiyeon: aka Jane from Momoland; These two trained at Dublekick together and became best friends. But while Jiyeon made it into the group, Heeyeon didn't. Still, they remained friends because Heeyeon couldn't bring herself to resent her.

Son Moonhwan: bandmate and high school friend; They met in highschool before Heeyeon became a trainee and met again at Ginger Tea. At first, in highschool, they were very awkward around each other, barely more than acquaintances, but in Ginger Tea, they bonded over their common past and eventually became best friends.

stage name Alice: Heeyeon's English name; She decided it was a better stage name than "Heeyeon" and she stuck with it.

trainee years 6 years (2 at Dublekick and 4 at Ginger Tea)
trainee history When she first joined Dublekick, she could barely carry a tune. Dancing and rapping was completely out of the question. However, she learned fast, and was soon getting better at singing. She also began training in dance, and while she was bad at it, she can now follow a dance routine without making it seem like she's struggling. She became friends with another trainee, Jiyeon, and together beared through the training period until Finding Momoland. Heeyeon became popular with fans, as she got a lot of screentime and had charisma, but she was still booted anyways.

After she was let go, she was upset (she cried for a week), but didn't really blame anybody, as it was just the company decisions, right? Heeyeon proceeded to audition for more companies, determined to succeed. With her skills improved, and popularity gained from the show, Heeyeon was accepted by several different companies. While some of the other companies may have been bigger, more influential, she decided on Ginger Tea Media because she had heard rumors about some of the trainees, that they had similar situations. One of those trainees was her long-lost friend Moonhwan, who she hadn't seen since high school.

Under Ginger Tea, she continued to work hard. For a while, she attempted to learn how to rap, but unless she was imitating someone else's rap, she really had no flow. She also learned to produce, though it was more of a hobby than an actual part of training. As time passed by, the training seemed less like preparing for debut and more like just waiting. Heeyeon was already pretty confident that she would make it into the group...if there was even going to be one. Still, she continued to practice and practice more, even though her period of large improvement had plateaued.

Then, Momoland added two new members in 2017. Heeyeon hadn't been too mad when she wasn't accepted, but hearing that new members were added made her furious. What was the point of the entire competition show if they were just going to add more people after? Suddenly, she stopped pretending that she was fine with Dublekick's decision and let herself out. She became more engaged in training, eager to debut and out-fame Momoland. She would even go to the CEO and egg him/her to finally let them debut. Finally, after three years of begging, they get to debut.

have you had any pre-debut experiences? "Experiences...Like training? Uh...I spent two, maybe three years at Dublekick and also participated in Finding Momoland but I didn't make it to the final lineup."

 

have you had any scandals before joining Ginger Tea Media?  "Scandals...hmm...If it counts, a lot of people online were kind of mad I didn't make Momoland."

 

do you regret your training time with your former company?  "No, definitely not. I wouldn't have made it this far without them."

 

who do you solely blame for your failure to debut earlier? "Dublekick. Maybe a little bit on the members, but I don't think it's their fault; they were in the same boat as me."

 

are you excited to finally debut?  "This is what I sacrificed my youth for. I've been excited for years."
