BABY MINGUK —only when he got to south korea that he got this nickname from the fellow trainees since trey didn't know about the existence of the infamous song triplet back in canada. upon finding out that his real name is the same as one of the triplet, the trainees then begin to tease trey by calling him "baby minguk" but soon, fans will call him like that as well!
ITALIAN his aunt's husband is italian and the two of them are very close. trey wanted to study italian so he could talk to his uncle more and his parents let the uncle teach their son. he's at the intermediate level, though trey probably forgot half of the vocabulary by now.
KOREAN he's been studying it for a pretty much long time now and is able to write and socialize but there are still words that he doesn't know and will need the members to translate them for him. the members would make up words that teach him to say it, though being tricked for countless times, trey still believes them and would go around speaking nonsense sayings that are very funny. sometimes, he embarrasses himself as well. he has hard a hard time... in conclusion, he's at the advanced level.

BACKGROUND
ONE. trey was born in 1997 in the capital city of canada into a very wealthy family. at a young age, he was known to have a bright personality and good at studying as well as sports. perfect at everything, you might say and his parents were really proud of their son since they are very strict about grades and personal life. trey has an older brother and both boys are the family's pride because they are all good-looking and smart. trey dreamed of becoming a basketball player just like his role model, lebron james. he participated in a lot of games and did win a lot of medals from bronze to gold.
though being really good at basketball, trey also expressed his love for music when he was smaller. his family would send him and his brother, tony to piano and saxophone classes but trey also found out the fact that he has a beautiful voice and his music teachers encouraged him to sing and practice more often. however, his parents did not approve the idea of sending him to a singing class since they believed that trey knowing how to play instrumentals was good enough. they wanted a perfect son, a son like how they wanted. trey obeyed and focused on other things rather than his vocal and it was not the first year of high school until he knew about kpop through some female friends.
TWO. they were huge fans of bts and exo. naturally, trey and other boys would make fun of them but when he listened to bts, trey was surprised to find that their music is surprisingly very catchy. "trey, don't you have a beautiful voice? you should try out for their audition!" and he did. sm held global auditions back then and canada was one of the chosen countries but trey had to travel to toronto to anticipate. a week later, he received the news of his acceptance and was incredibly happy though he had no idea how the idol thingy works. it was like, for the first time in forever he appreciated his singing ability so much.
trey then told his parents about it but they immediately turned him down and scolded him for deciding everything on his own. it was a hard time for him to go through when his family didn't support him and they had a pretty big fight about it, he would try to avoid seeing his parents. they called kpop idols gay because they have crazy hair colors and makeup, typical parents stuff. they asked if he wanted to be disgusting like them and insulted him for that but they didn't know, that only provoked trey and his dream of becoming an idol.
THREE. he joined the drama club at school and took every chance he had to show off his ability to sing and improve it. his parents didn't know about that until one day when they heard from trey's homeroom teacher about an upcoming musical of his and their son would be taking the leading role. furious, they grounded him and another huge fight happened but this time, his brother supported him and their parents finally agreed to come and see trey's performance. the song parents saw how passionate trey was on stage and the way he gazed at the audience moved their hearts — how long had it been since the last time they saw their son's smile like that? trey really loved what he was doing and even if he wasn't smiling, his eyes were. trey didn't expect his parents to come and was pretty annoyed at first but when he heard them compliment him and allow him to chase his dream, the family then broke into tears and had a very loving hug.
FOUR. after that, trey stayed in ottawa to take up singing and korean classes before buying a ticket to south korea and auditioning for companies. though being in seoul for the first time and having a hard time adjusting his lifestyle and communicating with koreans, he managed to keep up until he found a company that was opening for audition — it was blockberry creative. the song family cheered for him from the other side of the world and nothing made trey happier than being accepted into the company.

BALL MY LADIES — he was a popular boy back then in his school years so of course trey dated here and there. trey has dated a total of ten girls with his longest relationship lasted two years (they broke up when he moved to seoul) and shortest lasted like... three days in fifth grade.

HIDE! — he's absolutely terrified of insects, especially cockroaches so if he sees one, he will scream and run away rather than kill it.
A PIG — trey is crowned as the lazy king of solaire, he never does exercises and housework so yeah, his roommates and groupmates take care of everything for him. one time they tried leaving trey on his own and as the result, a mountain of dirty clothes was formed in his bedroom and trey's roommate never dares to leave him alone again. also, the type to eat food on the ground and go "10 seconds rule!" BMOVIES — he likes to watch movies and tv series. trey is a huge fan of transformers and tv series teen wolf so fans often gift him everything that is related to those said films. he's also a er for romantic movies and always cries watching them.
BASKETBALL PRINCE — he's really good at basketball and loves to play it. one of his favorite hobbies and he will play if he ever gets a chance.
MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS — as mentioned before, trey's good at piano and saxophone. he's often asked to play saxophone on variety shows but trey also knows how to play guitar and ukulele.
MR.FLUFFY — trey has a ryan teddy bear that he hugs whenever he goes to sleep. fans will gift him a lot of teddy bears and anything that's related to bears in general like cookies or pillows, etc.
SAY MY NAME — feels soft when someone calls him mingukkie but he's mostly known as trey.

FOODIE — he really likes to eat kimchi, kimchi with rice, kimchi with ice cream, you name it, he eats kimchi with everything. which is kinda disgusting but as long as he enjoys it, nothing can stop him.
FANBOY — trey likes nicki minaj, beyoncé, future and kendrick lamar, he is always caught singing or rapping to their songs! he's also a huge fan of harry potter and his favorite character is hermione, calls himself trey potter tho,, ,,,
TENSION — it's likely that trey is the one to be involved in most conflicts among the members. though he doesn't like to start one but he tends to be argumentative, which is why sometimes a joke might lead to something more serious. everyone enjoys teasing him but when trey gets serious, it's Mad Scary. also, when members are fighting, he would pick sides and trey doesn't show leadership characteristic by doing so but he definitely proved himself to be smart because he looks at the bigger picture, then will listen to both sides, then, he picks a side.
STAN TREY STAN TALENT — he composes songs and though he's part of vocal line, trey also writes rap songs and he absolutely loves to write lyrics and create fine poetry, with solid rhymes, deep verses and such. since he's fluent in english, he uses a lot of beautiful sayings and metaphors which makes the songs sound even more mysterious and #deep. a talented man, you might say.
CHEF — one of the members who actually know how to cook and trey's a great chef, but he specializes in western food. the members are dying to taste his cooking but the chance doesn't come much because he's lazy, obviously.
KING OF FAN SERVICE — he does and says a lot of heart-throbbing things to the fans... he flirts with them, he holds their hand and just, the kinf of fan service in general! fans are crazy over him because he's just so y and romantic. "if trey wasn't an idol, he would have been christian grey but even hotter."
FLUSHING CHEEKS —trey reads solaire fanfics and though this makes other members fear him, he enjoys doing so because it's just so amusing and funny? ?? and he would force others to reenact it or read it out loud to annoy the heck out of them.
SNOW ANGEL —he likes winter a lot, because the weather is cold and there is snow! trey likes building snowmen and skiing.
A THIEF —he likes to steal things from other members....... like, he doesn't care if they catch him

his dear older brother from ottawa. tony has always been the strength of trey, well, tony supports him in everything and that makes trey feel better, happier, all the time. though they are the total opposite with tony being an awkward and clumsy big bean and trey being the scary and lowkey grumpy witch, they get along very well.
trey usually raises his voice at tony and bullies his older brother because damn this guy is really cute, he just would never dare to get mad back at him and it feels like trey's the older bro here. of course, trey enjoys being in charge! basically they are like best friends and they don't need their friends during summer break, really, the boys spending the break together screaming while playing video games and hanging out together is enough. tony's very important to trey, and trey would always mention about his older bro to everyone.
nowadays, they still contact each other daily. tony really likes his little brother so he has to make sure that trey's doing well every day and no one can bully him. very late at night, solaire members would still be able to hear trey spitting out english words like a rapper while he's facetiming with his brother.
trey entered the company at the same time yunseong did as they both attended the same audition. at first, they didn't talk to each other but yunseong already heard about the rich canadian trainee and trey already heard about the trainee with god-like face.
both were curious of one another but neither of them really had the intention to approach the other and just kind of, stalked the other from afar?? trey was squinting his eyes studying yunseong's face like "wow yeah this man is really beautiful i can't beat him" and yunseong knew that the canadian was glaring at him. he knew. and yunseong was afraid that trey might hate him meanwhile trey was just enjoying his handsomeness. and trey was also... jealous.
it wasn't until both of them were put in the same dancing class that they interacted for the first time and they had to cover bts' no more dream. yunseong noticed how bad trey was at dancing and though he didn't really know how to talk to a scary guy like the canadian rich prince, he still went for it and helped trey to improve. well, trey knew he was bad at dancing, and he also knew that yunseong was one of the best dancers among the bts group so he let the guy help him. they got closer through that and trey performed well, though he bumped against yunseong and made the talented dancer break his ankle later.
it's a relief and good fortune, knowing that he'll be put in the same group as yunseong. the two are now very much close and trey laughed every time yunseong mentioned how he misunderstood him before. trey likes yunseong's personality but he would never admit it and always pretends like he doesn't laugh at the older guy's jokes. yunseong also likes to tease the canadian boy a lot, resulting in being dissed at and they make a good pair of friends as both are humorous in their own ways, like a boisterous wolf and a chill bear.
yunseong is clumsy, so trey makes sure he doesn't mess up. ("hyung just don't touch it gOD DAMN IT WHAT DID I SAY") and like, yunseong was born to be a variety god and was also born to embarrass himself so most of the time trey would cover his face like a son feeling embarrassed because he has a wild dad...
it's funny, both of them get along super well though they are nothing alike. without being said, they are a great combination and trust each other a lot. yunseong tends to hide his feelings and is actually a sensitive guy, trey would be the one to notice it if not first then second. he's always there to support and help his fellow bro feel better, and yunseong doesn't need to do anything, trey will approach him first. they bicker most of the time like a typical anime couple that fujoshis would love but hey, yunseong knows that trey would never mean it when he calls him ugly!

• though trey tries not to laugh at yunseong's jokes, whenever the elder guy makes a joke and no one finds it funny, trey would be the one to laugh first
• hides yunseong's glasses when he wants ro revenge.
• when yunseong gets sad, trey will quietly press a cold can of yun's favorite against his own cheek (yun jolts every time, but hes used to it) and buy him his favorite food. it's one way to cheer the elder one up and then they are going to talk about what's bothering yunseong.

it was during a dancing class that they met, trey still remembers the look on junyoung's face that day — a nonchalant and distant look. but even back then, he never once thought of junyoung to be a bad trouble. they were divided into four groups and trey was put in the same group with junyoung.
the younger guy was a great dancer, no doubt, but his attitude was something that made others' blood boil. coach noticed that so he thought of an idea to make junyoung open up — he asked junyoung to watch trey closely and become his tutor. he had to help trey improve or else he wouldn't want to hear the next part and junyoung didn't have a choice while trey had no idea his dancing was that bad. anyways, junyoung did help the canadian but he was just so bad it was almost impossible.
when they performed, they didn't go a great job because though trey memorized the choreography, his movements were just too stiff and awkward, not on point at all. coach was mad, he didn't pair them up for nothing but his plan wasn't working well. he yelled at both of them, especially at junyoung for not being a good partner enough. basically coach's mood was bad so the whole class was being yelled at and after that, they had an argument.
junyoung and trey then overheard them talking about junyoung. to trey, it's strange how everyone blamed the other boy (they said he was probably too arrogant to care about trey and that he only cared about himself) when it was actually his fault while junyoung's used to the judgment. the canadian couldn't stand it so he had to say something, and he told those boys off. they had a fight but trey was very intimidating and knowing his reputation, other trainees did feel scared a bit. also, he made a valid point so they couldn't find a greater comeback. after that, trey forced them to apologize to junyoung and he did, too, for not trying his best.
after that, he would practice harder because trey didn't want junyoung to be blamed again. he was so lazy but he had to force himself and one time, he caught junyoung staring at him while he was practicing alone. trey called the boy over, asking him whether there was something bothering him because his expression was strange. then the younger one honestly answered him that he wanted to return the favor. trey shook it off because it wasn't that much of a big deal but junyoung insisted so after a moment of thinking, he asked junyoung to eat lunch with him every day ('cause boy has no frends) and teach him korean words.
after that, they became closer though it took both of them a while to actually open up to one another. coach was really satisfied with the result because not only that trey did well during the performance but junyoung also found someone to rely on now. other trainees found it scary– because the two scary guys hang out with each other.
now, they are close brothers. really, trey sees junyoung as a brother and the son he really wants to have, and he loves to tease the hell out of our anna keun just like how he teases everyone else but trey's more playful towards junyoung since his reactions are quite amusing. he would get all red, something that people rarely see from the ice prince but to trey, junyoung isn't a rock made of ice, but he's a shy baby turtle. trey takes good care of the kid, and he makes sure junyoung's always included in the conversation and other activities that the group has. you can say that trey loves to annoy junyoung but at the same time, he cares for the kid deeply.
don't be surprised! but trey's most likely to be the only member who junyoung feels comfortable having skinship with. not that he likes it, but he has learned to put up with it because that's just show trey is (poor boy). trey calls other members his enemies but still hug them, but he would never hate on junyoung and it's a biased treatment. junyoung's also one of the members who's seen to have the most skinship with trey because kid wouldn't resist and push him away like others. trey really likes to be around the kid because they are similar in some ways and even though there's nothing else to talk about, trey still enjoys junyoung's presence.
