personality: the thing that tends to come through the brightest when it comes to juno is the sense of ease that always surrounds her. it shows from the way conversation always seem to flow with her, the casual way she walks and dresses, the glint of playfulness in her eyes even when she isn't smiling and most obviously in the way she takes everything at face value, regardless if it's good or bad. "floating calmly through life" is her motto. she moves about the world in a vaguely directionless, gentle manner with little worry for where it might take her. juno is easy going as long as she isn't cooped up or caged in. she so often lets fate chooses for her that when it comes to making the decision herself, she'd often feel lost and just frustrated.
juno has a great need for personal freedom and space. she likes doing things her own way in her own time (this is the very nature that postpones her album to come out a year late) and one of the few things that frustrates this usually easy going girl is being rushed. but even under pressure, she'd remain rooted in her own ways of doing things.
while in term of social life she can come across as a free-spirit, the same cannot be said about her work ethic. she is passionate about all of her interests, for anything that doesn't interest her will be kept away from her mind. and when she sees her self in a certain place in the future, she will hustle and work her mind off until she gets where she wants to be. she is tough and she prides herself in that distinction between her work life and personal life, and some people might be confused or perplexed to see her as the other if they have only seen one side of her.
on her off days, when she takes a break or feels particularly proud of herself, she loves to be surrounded by pleasure. but in her eyes, pleasure isn't going out to party or shopping lavishly, it's spending the entire day at home in bed, with her favourite music playing in the background and her favourite foods within an arm reach away. she'd refuse to do anything even slightly physical and often logs off and isolates herself from everyone, even her family. she's been told off before for being lazy but in juno's defense, "at least i'm giving myself the love i deserve."

background: she was born in seoul but moved to japan when her parent's divorced and her mother's work tugged them there. living with a workaholic single mother from childhood, she learns to be independent from a young age. even though they were never short on money, her mother engraves in her very early on that whatever you want in life, you need to work for. it was her way of making juno work around the house but juno ended up applying it to every aspect of her life.
she saves up a lot as a child. in fact, the thing that stands out the most from her childhood memory is her loaded piggy bank. she lands her first job at 12 years old, selling candies illegally to her classmates. and then at 14, she got her first official job tending a neighbouring bakery shop. unlike usual bakeries, this one in particular played a playlist of mismatched music genre. one song it'd be rock, the next a sad ballad and then a foreign rap. it bothered her at first but then, it started her interest in music. and when juno's interested in something, she goes full force. she bought her first guitar that summer and begged her mother to be enrolled in a music class. that winter, she learned how to dance. by the time she turned 16, she had her entire life planned out. she was going to take a train ride to shibuya and busk to earn some pocket money. when she's got enough for a plane ticket, she begged her mother to let her fly to their hometown to audition for the top company. her mother lets her with a condition that she was to come back to japan and give up her 'risky' dream for good if she doesn't get a call back.
sm and yg didn't call her back. jyp did but she failed the second auditioning round. and just like that, she got ready to fly back to japan and fulfill her promise to her mother. but fate had another thing planned for her and a small agency reached out to her on her last day in korea. she didn't want to join initially but they promised to give her a good contract and a good insurance coverage if anything happened to her while in their care. so she signed with them, trained for alongside a handful of other trainees while making dance covers on the side and debuted as a soloist nearly a year later.
She debuted with a single titled 'touch' and gained a buzz with the mv. overshadowed by bigger artists though, she stayed under the radar music show wise but her active youtube-ing gained her a substantial number of followings online. in one of her video, she attempted to learn english with a foreign female trainee tutoring her but when she started butchering the pronunciations and laughing too much she snorted out her drink (matcha latte), she became a viral sensation nation wide and got her much deserved recognition. after that, she had been the token rookie in may variety show and is getting more attention to her music with the announcement of an upcoming album.

appearance: juno likes her tops simple and her shorts short. solid colours (especially white) is her staple but she'd occasionally pull out simplistic patterned outfits when she's feeling fancy. juno likes her mobility too, so her prefers sneakers over heels, trousers and shorts over skirts, and casual loose shirts over leather jackets or choking turtle necks.

trivia: There's a rumour out there that she's gay. she's amused by it so she never address it.
since she's from the city, and busy enough to rarely go on a vacation, she doesn't get to see the beach very often. this means that she can't swim. it doesn't mean, however, that she won't be excited to get into the water.
loves the sun. her agency told her explicitly not to get tanner, but she just loves basking under the sun. she can't help it. (and what's wrong with a tan anyway? she thinks she wears it well.)
fish amazes her. aquariums too. she likes animal in general (who doesn't?) but there's something about sea creatures that just fascinates her. so she watches documentaries on them in her spare time.

what do you think about this program? "it's interesting. when i watch these kind of shows at home, i always thought they were scripted! but that's not the case!"
ideal type? "i'm a simple girl. if he's good at cooking, i'm sold."
what did you hope coming to this show? "i don't know if my agency would like it if i say this... but i haven't been in a relationship in a long time. i can't even remember the warmth of a man's touch. so, i'm expecting my heart to be moved, even if it's only for a few weeks." Laughs. "what? i'm 22 years old! i should be out and about, breaking hearts and getting my heart broken, you know?"
anything you want to say? "i hope to bring home some great experience from this show. so to do that, i'll give it my best."
it's awkward but i love it
history:: When she was first signed, she lived in eastern seoul where the underground music scene was booming. She navigated her way around through befriending the other trainees in her company and then other wanna be artist. at that time, 'one' was already a fixed figure in seoul underground scene as a rapper and a dancer. it didn't take much time for juno to be a regular and through the small community, she begin taking interest in performing there. so, with a few of her girl friends, she started a dance group. Naturally, they crossed path.
in the after show of her team's first performance, jaewon and his group of friends came to welcome them. although they didn't communicate much since his mostly stays quietly in the corner, juno managed to converse enough to bring them from strangers to acquaintances. juno immediately thought he was cute and feels intrigued by him, and juno isn't the type of girl to wait around. so, the next time they met, she cornered him with the determination. at the end of the night, she came back to her dorm with his number and the shocking knowledge that he's actually older then her (she thought for sure that he was younger!).
even though jaewon was definately an eye candy for her, it didn't go deeper than that. So, she stops having ulterior motive and opted to just be his genuine friend instead. and it seemed that jaewon was glad for that decision (her forwardness flustered him). juno's easy going personality warms jaewon up to her and soon enough, they were as close as siblings.
a few months in, Jaewon suggested her to make dance covers for exposure, something that he's done before and after discussing it with her team mates and her label (who also thought it was a good idea), they posted their first video on 2015.
when she debuted, even though she wasn't gaining as much traffic, jaewon bought her favourite foods to celebrate.

personality: jaewon is a private person and feels uncomfortable sharing personal details with people he isn't close with. it makes him come across as distant at first, but anyone who is willing to stay for a little while quickly realises that that isn't the case at all. he tries to appear extroverted around new people (because he wants to be friendly) but he has to force himself into it because jaewon is naturally shy. he is so easily embarrassed that he has a hard time doing the simplest of task (mostly, socially) if he doesn't have enough will power to push through. but once his heart is won over, he'll offer you his friendship whole-heartedly.
He has a great sense of observation and quickly grasps the situation. even though he isn't the most talkative or expressive, he always knows the right thing to say in the right time. it works like magic in making people feel good around him and they often find themselves falling into comfortable silence with him. he is kind and sympathetic but expresses it through his action more than his words or expression.
in terms of affections and romance, although he tends to hold back, he is nothing less than intense and passionate. he is compassionate. if he has fallen particularly deep, it might even come out as possessive. jaewon is careful in monitoring who's in and who's out of his life but when he holds on to someone, he doesn't let go. Jaewon likes to take care of what's his.
when it comes to the way he lives his life, "slow and steady wins the race" is definitely a mantra he mutters all the time. he likes to take his time in perfecting everything he does. he doesn't like doing anything half-assed. he likes his life simplistic but with character. he refused to settle for anything less, so he finds himself tinkering with his things to make them more personalised in his free time (in another word, most of his stuff are diy).

interaction
they are very comfortable around each other, even though jaewon sometimes like to play a game where he pretends not to know her (especially if she says or do something he thinks is embaressing or just questionable).
when they realised they were going to be in the same show, they both found it hilarious. since they're both equally bad at games, they would joke that if they end up together, they'd be the most boring pairing in the show's history.
but at times, they don't talk much if there's nothing to be talked about. they both enjoy their comfortable silence.
since he's older than her, he demands to be addressed as 'oppa' but juno feels awkward about it (being raised in another country) so she uses other polite (questionablel) titles instead; 'hyung' 'ajussi' 'mister'.
they are also quite playful with each other on and off camera. jaewon is very fond of puns so he makes sure to fit a few in everytime they talks. it drives juno crazy. she almost swore multiple time on camera because of it. jaewon just laughs it off.

appearance: unlike juno, jaewon really likes patterned clothes. he particularly likes Hawaiian shirts and printed tees. other than that he also loves sneakers. he thinks it's 90% of his outfit and is very sensitive about getting them dirty, especially the white ones.(he tries to match juno after the first day but his limited closet doesn't make it quite right...)
