TAE. more commonly used than his own name, tae is used by those who know taegeun personally. recently, after getting to know jisoo, taetae has also began being used more often. though, it's against his will. so he doesn't bother answering.

ㅤㅤㅤ˗ˏˋ THE STORY OF TAEGEUN'S LIFE.

PERSONALITY  

this boy is someone who's too guarded for his own good and doesn't speak unless he feels likes it; even if it means ignoring someone. his mouth runs without a filter yet he's unable to express how he really feels. he's (surprisingly) a just kind of guy with an observant eye. this boy is definitely not the nicest or the easiest to approach but he's very understanding and will lend a hand when he sees fit. his kindness is selective just like his loyalty. both also being hard to gain. he's a true infj.

BACKGROUND one mom and one older sister is what maked up taegeun's family growing up. it was age 4 his dad was no longer around. as an adult now, he has long gotten over it. his eyes only burning slightly whenever he visits the man's grave. growing up without one wasn't any different from the (short) time he had one. taegeun was still loved by his parents despite the time consuming jobs, still disliked by his sister for being the youngest(and the obvious favorite), and still pretty much a loner with a cat named marble and his art supplies as his bestfriend.

older he got, the more attention he got. popular yet no one truly liked him. too many came to him for the wrongs reasons so he began doubting those who came for the right reasons. he stayed into fights with those who didn't like him and wanted to show it. however, he's never the one who starts them (well, sort of). he only ever fought outside of school  because he would have been punished by his coach if he did it inside.

he didn;t need to because of his mother's well paying job but he began working at in high school. it was at a record / instrument store that did fairly well, named 'in record time.'

there he learned to play the acoustic by the owner who looked at him as his nephew.

now a college student not much as changed. expect maybe his stopping of sports (much to his former coaches dismay). he still visits the dojo when he can.

TRIVIA 
· actually cooks well. since he lives alone. 
· he's not some professional at it but he loves taking pictures. it's usually of things he's entranced by. so it could be a flower on the side walk or the interior of a store. the camera he uses isn't some fancy one. it's a polaroid camera. every picture he takes he keeps in a box container under his bed. 
· even though taegeun did sports all throughout middle and highschool it was still more of a hobby. while art was his main focus and goal.
· has worked at the record store . 'in record time' since high school.
· mostly listens to rock and alternative rock bands. old or new, it doesn't matter to him. his favorite band of all time is japanese band one ok rock.
· taegeun has dated once before but that was just to see what the fuss was about. a girl who hung around him all the time lasted a week before taegeun broke it off. after all he just wasn't interested. he isn't one to fool around for the one time so he pretty much has a nonexistent love life.
· he doesn't want her to but taegeun's mother pays nearly half of his rent. she doesn't want him to possibly starve since being a college student isn't exactly cheap. she figures since she has the money she might as well.  she usually stocks up his refrigerator once every two months. it was once every month but taegeun convinced her to do it every two months instead.
· bc he didn't get along with his teammates he doesn't keep in contact with any of them now. 
· the sport taegeun did in both middle school and high school was taekwondo. he even made it to nationals.
· only has a instagram because of his boss ( the old man wanted him to follow him). most of the squad has his password to his instagram. he doesn't really care.
· doesn't like horror movies. not because they're scary or anything but because they're predictable and kind of boring. 
· taegeun is on scholarship at hongik university.
· on campus , at hongik university,  he can either be found in the library chilling with a book and snack or eating (secretly).
· he loves spicy food. esp spicy seafood. not very fond of sweet things or fast food. 
· doesn't really like coffee bc it gives him stomach aches. prefers tea instead.
· usually visits his mom during the holidays. occasionally he goes back on  a weekend for a family dinner. usually it's him, his sister, and former coach (since he's like family).
· has a cat named marble(in the pic on his instagram). quite an odd cat who prefers the night more than the day. he can be found under his bed and only comes out for night time cuddles and food. very independent cat.
· got the scar on cheek from fights. actually most of his scars are from fights.
· can always be seen with headphones on. either there around hiss neck or in his ears. owns both the headphone set and the ear plugs.

SCHOOL hongik university.
MAJOR fine arts

RESIDENCE as much as his mother would love for him to stay with her, hongik is far from their home so instead he lives in a smallish-mediumish studio in mapo-gu not to far from his college.
FORM OF TRANSPORTATION he usually takes his bike to school and get a ride from his boss to and from work.

DAILY LIFE 
MONDAY - WEDNESDAY SCHEDULE.
7:30am wake up, washup, eat.
8:20am leave out on bike to head for class.
8:50am arrive to first class early. 10 minutes later the class starts.
9:00am - 11:25am class begins and ends.
11:25 - 11:50am takes a lunch break. 
12:00pm - 2pm second class starts and ends.
2:15pm - 4:00pm third class starts and ends.
waits 15 minutes for kim daesung (his boss) to show up. 
4:30pm his shift for work starts. 
at 10:00pm his shift ends. boss either feeds him or he goes home cooks something for himself. 
usually finish any homework or start on assignments given.

THURSDAY - FRIDAY.
7:00am wake up, washup, eat. waits
about 20 minutes for  kim daesung (his boss) to show up.
8:00am open up and get to work.
8:00am - 12:00pm work til lunch break.
12:00pm - 12:40pm lunch break starts and ends.
12:40pm - 5:15pm finish work. get ice cream with boss after closing up.
boss takes him home around 6:20pm. 
from then he fiinishes any assignements he started before the weekend starts.

SATURDAY-SUNDAY.
his saturday and sunday schedule is quite loose and flexible. he's either hanging out with his boss, chilling in his studio with his cat while strumming on his guitar, doing some sort of exercise, or out taking pictures. or he's doing all of that in the same day. sometimes he wakes up late, sometimes he wakes up early. it depends on if he has something to do that day with someone.

RELATIONSHIPS there are some 'plotlines' listed for taegeun's friends. just a little info on that. it's not something i expect ppl to fill up and follow but just something to help you decide what kind of relationship you want with taegeun if you want to collab with me or sumthing. THE POTENTIAL FRIENDS LIST (AKA THE HONGDAE SQAUD).

· yeo, jisoo.121799. employed at the bow wow cafe. 
from their first meeting, taegeun knew he wasn't going to be able to get rid of jisoo. the fact that she stayed for a week, bothering him, after his boss informed him of his need for friends was enough proof. that's why after a week of knowing each other he had given up. he had never met someone so immune to his coldness. besides those who have known him for a while.

their relationship consist of  jisoo taking pictures of jisoo without his knowledge and uploading them to his instagram. hacking his instagram every chance she gets. getting him to do things for her that she knows he doesn't want to do. taegeun going with the flow of whatever jisoo the mess has planned. jisoo not using honorifics when talking to him bc "you're only one year older than me! plus calling you oppa is gross.". him getting roped in with jisoo's shenanigans. taegeun being in the same position as sehun basically.

someone who hangs all over taegun in a soft squishy kind of way. like he's some type of big brother or protection. perhaps they met because he protected them before and they're meeting again for the second time in the hongdae squad. taegeun doesn't mind it too much for some reason. sometimes he returns the gesture with a pat or something.

someone who taegeun questions a lot. like their sanity and stupid ideas. a complete weirdo,  who's retorts to taegeun's rudeness is childish. taegeun actually enjoys being around  because they have the ability to make him smile just by being themselves. an unlikely pair that no one questions because it just works?? they're a hoe for skinship and taegeun is their main victim.

taegeun's relationship with this someone is quite odd. there's something up in the air that isn't quite tension nor ual. but it isn't friendly either. they stare a bit too long at one another. sit a little too close if when they're next to one another. they don't really talk much to each other. and when they do it's usually one liners. neither can explain it either. it's comfortable. something taegeun doesn't feel with others he hasn't known for years upon years.

someone who was on the taekwondo team with him in highschool. perhaps they were ust as quiet as his opting to stay away from the team outings and bonding. or perhaps they joined in anything with a smile. either way they avoided taegeun. they're a bit intimidated by him so it's awk awk. even after knowing them for a good minute.

THE LIKE HIS FAMILY LIST.

· boss. kim daesung. record store owner / stock holder. 50 years old.
daesung has known taegeun since highschool. they got to know each other after taegeun stumbled upon the record store while wandering around mapo taking pictures. he got hired on the spot after walking onto daesung firing his own nefhew (who didn't want to be there anyway). he originally refused but thought about being surrounded by music. which was second best, after being at an art museum (that he sadly couldn't get a part time job at).  

their relationship consist of daesung trying his aegyo on taegeun when trying to get him to do something. daesung buying him icecream after getting off work.  telling taegeun jokes only to laugh loudly at them. having taegeun walk away beore daesung can tell him a pun or a stupid joke. taegeun being subjected to corny dad jokes. taegeun getting his hair ruffled by daesung. being called a good kid by daesung. being told to smile constantly  by daesung. daesung introducing him to ppl as his nephew. taegeun calling him 'old man' as a nickname.

· former coach / father figure. lim dongwoon. 48 years old. high school gym coach. dongwoon is someone who's basically like a father to taegeun. they met when he was only 7, thanks to his father. they developed a close bond after taegeun's father passed away. as strict and mean as dongwoon comes off towards taegeun, he knows that dongwoon has a soft spot for him. why else would he take (only) him out during the weekends(after making him jog for 2 hours)? or worry so much about what's going on in his personal life?

their relationship consist of taegeun calling him uncle. taegeun being hit upside the head when he does something 'rude' around dongwoon. dongwoon calling taegeun out for a morning run or a bit of sparring. 


THE PEOPLE WHO ARE HIS FAMILY LIST.

mom.  won taeyeon. 47 years old. surgeon.
his mom, taeyeon, is honestly his everything, just like his dad was before he passed, even if they don't get to spend much time together. she's the only one in his favorites and his first go to contact number when he's in a bind. he never talks deeply with her even with their close relationship, however. in fact, he doesn't talk much with her at all. he usually just lays his head on her lap and listens to her talk instead when they have the time. he's definitely a mama's boy if you hadn't realized it. which is fine because his mom might have a bit of a son complex anyway.

older sister. won geunhye. 24 years old.financial team manager at a software developing company.
taegeun's relationship with his sister has never been good. geunhye was no longer the youngest, meaning she was no longer the favorite or looked after first which honestly angered her(and hurt a bit). she doesn't bother hiding her dislike for him (unless she wants something) just like their mom doesn't hide her favoritism. which taegeun could careless for. he ignores her right back at the dinner table and says no to anything she ask him for. he doesn't bother arguing with her because it's a waste of his time and she isn't yelling about anything important.

"OH MY GOSH. HI." "I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHY I'M HERE, TO BE HONEST." "JESUS, SEHUN. WE WENT OVER THIS. I TOLD YOU I NEEDED COMPANY 'CAUSE I WAS TOO NERVOUS TO CONDUCT THIS INTERVIEW BY MYSE—ANYWAYS, HEY! I'M JISOO, AND THIS IS MY COWORKER SEHUN." "HEY." "AND YOU MUST BE...?"  the raven haired boy didn't want to be here. that  much was evident. while the male stranger named sehun and the girl who had been harassing him for a week straight finally acknowledged his presence, taegeun didn't resit rolling his eyes. with his hands clasped in his lap, he let's his gaze fall off to somewhere else,as a disinterested "hi." releases from his mouth. their was no greeting or introduction of his name. she already knew that.

"NICE TO MEET YOU TOO TAEGEUN! FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANTLY: ARE YOU AFRAID OF DOGS?" "WHAT KIND OF INTERVIEW QUESTION IS THAT?" "MY GOD, SEHUN, 'CAUSE THIS WILL BE OUR REGULAR MEETING SPOT. QUIT ASKING QUESTIONS. YOU'RE NOT THE INTERVIEWER HERE, I AM." once again they were bickering and taegeun found himself wanting to (dashi run run) run out. if it wasn't for his boss from the record store, he wouldn't be here. "dogs are fine." truthfully they were actually the only other reason he was staying.

"NOW, WHERE DO YOU WORK IN BUSY HONGDAE? AND TELL US A BIT ABOUT WHAT IT'S LIKE." "you know this already but i'll say it just for the sake of promoting it. i work at  'on the record', not too far from here, nestled in between a pizza place with ty pizza and ice cream shop. and it's fine there, i like it there." he explains calmly.

"COOL! SO, HOW DID YOU COME TO FIND OUT ABOUT HONGDAE SQUAD?" "HOW COULD THEY NOT KNOW ABOUT IT AFTER YOU POSTED THAT FLYER OF YOURS ON THE COMMUNITY BULLETIN BOARD FOR LIKE A MONTH NOW." "...TRUE."  again with these questions she already knows the answer too. "you and my boss." it was an eventful week that taegeun didn't really need. his boss, who was a pretty important figure in his life, had told him about the flyer but he had refused. then a few days later here come jisoo poking around. 

"ANY PARTICULAR REASON BEHIND YOU WANTING TO JOIN THE SQUAD?"  he instantly shakes his head no. "i don't. but my boss says i need friends."

"DING DING DING!" "OH GOD." "THE SPEED ROUND HAS JUST BEGUN! SO, I'LL JUST BE ASKING YOU A SERIES OF QUICK QUESTIONS THAT I JUST WANTED TO PUT IN THE INTERVIEW SO I SEEM LIKE A COOL AND FUN PERSON 'CAUSE I REALLY AM, I PROMISE."  'it probably won't be' is what he thinks but he nods for her to gon on anyway.

"EARLY BIRD OR NIGHT OWL?" "night owl." because what is sleep?

"FAVORITE SUPERHERO?" "don't have one." he says, but really it's black panther from marvel.

"THE MOUNTAINS OR THE SEA?"  "the sea."

"BURGERS, FRIED CHICKEN, OR PIZZA?" taegeun easily answers  the question. "friend chicken ." he shivers a bit internally after a thought of that disgusting pizza he had from next door passes through his mind.

"CAMPING. HOT OR NOT? AND ARE YOU GOOD AT IT?" "a not. i don't do camping." 

"LAST ONE. STAYING IN OR GOING OUT?"  he pauses for a bit. it's benefits to both honestly. he does both. though when he's going out it's mainly at night. but if he really had to choose. "staying in." because less idiots he has to deal with.

"ALRIGHTY! UNFORTUNATELY, THE INTERVIEW HAS COME TO AN END—" "FINALLY." "QUIT BEING A , SEHUN. ...AHEM. IT WAS GREAT MEETING YOU AND I HOPE TO SEE YOU AROUND!" "I CANNOT BELIEVE I WASTED MY LUNCH BREAK FOR THI—" "BYE! THANKS FOR STOPPING BY!" taegeun barely bids a farewell to the pair. just hums, throws his hands into his black jeans and walks out.

001. the squad going to a party. why taegeun is there since he really hates things like that? not sure. one moment he was in the process of slamming the door in jisoo's face next he's walking into a house playing terrible music with a look of ' i wanna kms' on his face. he stays in the corner for majority of the party. watching the girls dance like noodles (mainly jisoo). until get's real and a chair is thrown somewhere. during the fights breaking out. taegeun get's invovled (again somehow) and shows off some (sweet ) fighting skills. two of his "friends" is hurt by, one being carried on his back, he has a bruises on his face and hands(not sure how hes' going to explain this to his former coach, mom, and boss) , his friends are all silent until someone breaks out with "tHat wAs aWesoMe". taegeun get's mad because "none of that was awesome, you guys could have seriously gotten hurt". everyone's in awe because "aw taetae, you love us!"

002. a heart broken squad member needs cheering up ( jisoo's opinion) tries to do just that with everyone's help. only ends up maknig it worst instead.

003. singing and dancing in the rain. taegeun not doing so. he has an unbrella and a look of 'wtf is wrong with yall'. everyone get's sick the next day minus him and sehun bc they decided to be smart and not play in the rain.
