HOLY COWS I'M SHOOK BEYOND THE CORE

So I wasn't planning to write anything soon... but then Day6 came out with their EveryDay6 song like 1 week earlier.

AND MY WIG WAS SNATCHED AND I MIGHT NEVER HAVE IT BACK ANYTIME SOON.

So you know, Day6 is the kind of band who aren't idols, and they rarely go onto music shows and others, but holy shxt all of their songs are so good there's literally no. Song. That's. NOT. Good. From them. Basical I started noticing them way back to their Congratulations days, and I knew Letting Go and loved the song too, but the moment I really decided to stan was when I watched a rerun of Kcon on television and I saw Day6 performing and I was like "oh my gosh I need to stan they're a whole full course meal and super talented and their voices and J A W L I N E S."

So... yeah, that's how I ended up here ranting about Day6 for the first time here.

Since March 2016 I started paying attention to them but I was loyal to another group Bangtan so I try not to get too deep into them. But then this year they announced a monthly project and I accidentally fell in too deep so yeah what can I do, I've been snatched by them.

A few weeks before BTS's comeback, I was so sick and tired of some of their old songs (since I was anticipating their new album too much), so I, for the first time in months, caught Day6's monthly MV in the first hour, and looked up a few Day6 songs that I've been ignoring due to the multiple complicated issues happening both online and in real life. I still remember songs of the three months I've been ignoring: I Smile, Hi Hello, and What Can I Do.

(Seriously, a lot of things happened during these three months that left me physically, mentally and emotionally exhausted, my mood swings flared up too much and I was not okay mentally, which reduced my productivity and generally my will to live on. I'm just glad everything is slightly better now, that life is less hectic. I still got serious mood swings that left me crying over my homework though.)

I Loved You is a masterpiece. Also, because I didn't catch the storyline for the last few months I had to go back and watch a few MVs, but I regret nothing. Weeks before BTS's comeback, I was shuffling Day6's songs to keep myself sane enough for BTS's comeback. And after the MV was dropped, I swerved back to them and continued fangirling like nothing happened.

How can I say for these boy's amazing singing skills, I just couldn't stop watching their VLives where they sang their monthly title songs, with only one of two guitars, Dowoon's random drums (he's used chopsticks and bowls, a tea kettle, his own chest, and wine glasses before), and vocals so amazing it brought me to tears. I also watched their lives on Sukira (while it still existed) and Hongkira, and other few radio shows I couldn't remember. They look so immersed when they're playing music, that I just can't watching them fondly.

AND THIS MONTH. When You Love Someone is such a calm and peaceful song, but the lyrics are super sad, and made me consider a while if I have fallen in love with my best friend (seriously, you should go read the lyrics). And the MV storyline left me wanting more. OKAY SO CAN SUNGJIN AND WONPIL END UP TOGETHER ALREADY STOP PLAYING WITH MY HEART-

Last but not least, let me emphasize that: STAN TALENT, STAN DAY6.

I'll stop ranting for now lol
