NICKNAMES
Hyunnie A cute nickname that her members and fans call her.
Savage Cinnamon Roll When Hyunhee was first revealed to the public as a member of YN, netizens assumed she would be cute and innocent. She's genuinely sweet as a cinnamon roll, but this doesn't stop the maknae from having a savage side. Loves teasing her unnies, always getting hit for it. Fans therefore dubbed her this fitting title.

APPEARANCE
Hyunhee's appearance could be summed up in one simple word, "innocent". Having large eyes with double eye lids, a thin nose and pale skin, she's the near epitome of "Korean pretty". Some would even say that her feminine looks don't suit YN's concepts. In physique, she's quite thin and petite and stands at an average height. Her hair is black and has never been any other colour since birth. It falls to about chest level and generally stays that length. However BigHit do plan to dye her hair brown, red, blonde or pink for future comebacks. Yeah, her looks basically scream "maknae".

HEIGHT & WEIGHT 164cm & 49kg
STYLE
Dresses in neutral colours, not a fan of showing too much skin so sometimes wears leggings, or tights with her skirts, buried under tones of layers in winter. X X X X X

PERSONALITY (Scroll for elaboration)

What meets the eye sedulous, considerate, independent, reliable
playful, bubbly, modest, easy-going
insecure, reserved, self-doubting, naive Beneath the surface
"I may seem like a clear glass bead but I won't break that easily"
If you were to ask her family or close friends "who is Jung Hyunhee?" you'd likely get the description of someone hard-working and very humble. When she sets her eyes on a goal, she works straight towards it with the utmost of dilligence and focus. She's a modest person who never flaunts her talents and is always considerate of those around her. Upon meeting, she can be awkward and shy with new people but gradually, she shows a bubbly, energetic side that's full of enthusiasm, mischief and love for exploring. For those who are close to her, Hyunhee will most often display this playful, slightly child-like aspect of her personality. At the core, Hyunhee is a very caring and patient person who's tolerant of people from all walks of life. She's accepting of others and dislikes fighting so when discourse breaks out she attempts to sort out the situation, come up with a compromise as all Hyunhee wants is for the group of people that she's always around, who she cares about to get along. She may take time to fully open up, but she's a reliable friend, someone you can trust with your secrets, someone who will stay up late with you as you vent all your frustrations and listen to your every word. Possibly a side effect of living away from her parents from a young age, Hyunhee is somewhat independant, mature for her age in someways. To an extent, she knows how to take care of herself and though it's not obvious, does her best to look out for other people.

"No matter how much I wander, I want to believe in my path"
Beneath the elegant, serene demeanour she exudes, Hyunhee harbors deep insecurities. She feels inferior to those who are more experienced than her, who are prettier than her, more confident too. Her self-doubting causes Hyunhee to second guess herself and step back, letting someone else take the spotlight. At the same time she holds high expectations for herself and easily becomes dispirited when she doesn't meet these standards. The more you get to know her, the clearer it becomes that she isn't as confident as she looks from a distance. She has her worries, but like a typical teenager, will often hide it and withdraw to her room to submerge herself in her thoughts. Hyunhee wants to think that she can handle all the stresses the industry throws at her alone, she doesn't want to seem like a burden, so she keeps smiling when all she wants is to do is release all her anxiety induced thoughts and have someone tell her that she's enough. Having barely lived for seventeen years, Hyunhee is somewhat inexperienced in certain aspects of life, though not to the point of innocence rather, it causes her to be a bit naive and obtuse in some situations. Sometimes, she'll question whether she's taken the right path, whether the idol was meant for her, but in the end, she always remembers the joy it brings her to able to share music and see so many people smile. Hyunhee is filled with passion and ambition but also needs reassurance that she has what it takes.

HISTORY

2000 to 2010 Hyunhee's life begins on September 1, 2000, born an only child to two loving, supportive parents. Hyunhee's childhood isn't too eventful. She was a shy kid who prefered reading by herself to playing with other children which may have made her an easy target for meaningless teasing from other kids that left her in tears at the end of the day. She did pretty well in school, naturally wanting to learning and enjoying it and made a few close friends. The real highlight of her life however, was music. Her mother plays guitar and teaches music which is where Hyunhee’s love for music began and as she grew up, her passion never waned. On her 10th birthday, she was pleasantly surprised to learn that her parents had bought her her own guitar. That day, little Hyunhee accepted the gift with eagerness and thanked her parents who she promised to "love forever and ever".

2010 to 2013 Her love for music was born in her childhood but her dreams began in her early years of adolescence. SNSD were huge when she was growing up. They were widely talked about, there songs could be heard everywhere and they captured Hyunhee's attention. She'd watch them perform on TV and it made her think about what it would be like to be up there herself. She decide it would be fun. Hyunhee practices even harder, she's doubtful that she's talented enough and by the time she's at the auditions for JYP Entertainment, her hands are shaking so bad she can't even strum her guitar properly. But she reminds herself of the hours she spent preparing for this moment and the encouraging words her mother spoke to her earlier that day. By the time it's her turn to perform, she decides she has everything to gain. Much to 13 year old Hyunhee's utter shock and happiness, she was accepted by the company and her parents made plays for her to travel to Seoul from Busan. By the end of 2013, Hyunhee is standing before a large building with a suitcase by her side and a guitar strapped to her back.

2013 to 2017 After missing the cut for Twice on Sixteen, Hyunhee was left questioning her capabilities. Maybe she hadn't performed as well as she should've. Maybe JYP was right when he commented about how she lacked a certain "charm" he looked for in his artists on the show. In the end, Hyunhee left JYP towards the end of 2016, deciding to pursue other opportunities elsewhere. It's been two days since she official ended her contract with JYP and she's preparing to head back to Busan to meet with her family when someone working under BigHit informs her of Sihyuk's new project. Never would she have expected for this opportunity to present itself before her but it's all she can think about on her return to Busan. It's January of 2017 when she's back in Seoul, standing before Sihyuk in her evaluation with a guitar in her arms.

RELATIONSHIPS
WOO YENI
"You're holding back. That amazing voice I heard in the practice room, what happened to it?"
The older sister figure and perhaps the role model Hyunhee needs in her life. She really looks up to YN's leader as not only an artist but a person, seeing her as some confident, talent and kind, someone Hyunhee wants to be like. When she was first recruited to YN, Hyunhee was a bit intimidated by the other older girls who all seemed so experienced. Around the other members, Hyunhee acted like she was treading on a mine field. She never thought that she could become friends with any of them nor would they want to be around her because of her age but Yeni proved her wrong. The older girl noticed how her junior tended to shy away from the others and gently apporached her and invited the younger to join them for lunch. Since then, a gradual change occured as Yeni saw her hoobae laugh with the others. She became more talkative, then she started approaching her fellow members on her own without being asked. Yeni sees the potential in Hyunhee that the young girl doesn't and makes it her mission to bring it out.  Always the protective guide, Yeni gives her advice and encouragment where it's needed in both Hyunhee's career and her life. Hyunhee really likes to unnie and won't stop bringing up the fact that Yeni is 2 cm shorter than her, but from the multitude of backhugs she gives to the leader on vlives and backstage videos, it's obvious that none of this is meant with any malice. Calls her "Yen-unnie". Saved in contacts as "Minghao's Wife".
KIM TAEHYUNG
"Hyunnie, I was wondering, if you put clothes on a mole rat, is it still ?"
To Hyunhee, Taehyung is the loving older brother she never had. He was the first in Bangtan to approach her outside of the formal meetings the groups had and they quickly became friends. It didn't take him long to bring Hyunhee out of her shell and the two spend their free time together watching anime or comtemplating the weirdest ideas that no one else would waste time thinking about. Taehyung sees Hyunhee as his little sister who he dotes on and spoils. He gives her tips on how to get the crowd going and never forgets to buy her a gift when returning from a foreign country Bangtan had toured in. To see someone so young with a fluctuating self-esteem be exposed to the public, completely vulnerable to slander makes him worried for his hoobae hence he makes sure to give her a pep talk whenever she's down. His extraness also rubs off on her whenever they hang out so you can blame V for the weird that she pulls on vareity shows later on in YN's career. Saved in contacts as "V-oppa".

JEON SOMI
"Let's both work hard and in a few years, debut together"
Hyunhee and Somi's relationship is kinda complicated and dates back to when Somi first joined JYP. Back then, despite being under the company for a couple months. Hyunhee was still in a shy phase and hadn't made any close friends with the fellow trainees there. Despite Hyunhee wanting to stay hidden, Somi approached her one day after dance lessons. Hyunhee finds the routine particularly difficult and Somi notices how the older girl is always one or two steps behind. "I'm coming back here to practice again after lunch, you wanna join me? I could help you out if you need". Hyunhee accepts her offer. From there, they would return to the pratice rooms together after lunch regularly to go over any skills they found difficult. Somi would help her with dancing and Hyunhee would give her tips to improve her singing. In a matter of a few weeks, they became inseperable.

Hyunhee grew to admire Somi, she's friendy, funny and very talented, but the same time, Hyunhee feels a sense of bitterness towards the light that she had become a shadow to. The two trainees were pitted against one another on Sixteen and because of their young ages and talent, were constantly compared to one another. But this sense of inferiority to Somi wasn't formed overnight, it was rooted long ago back during the days where she watched how fluidly Somi would dance whilst she was always one step behind. "Somi or Hyunhee" was a popular discussion topic for netizens, obviously great for Hyunhee's self-esteem. In the end, neither of them made it into Twice but only Somi was given the opportunity to participate on Produce 101 whilst Hyunhee was stuck in the dungeon. Since debuting with IOI, Somi's contact with Hyunhee declined so the girls grew distant. Watching Somi perform, gain recognition and make new friends without her felt like a slap to the face. She wants to be happy for Somi's success, but at the same time, felt so hurt and betrayed to see Somi fly, leaving her behind, when in reality all her friend did was pursue her dreams. Her jealousy is rooted in insecurity and somewhat childish. Then again, in some ways, Hyunhee is still a child

Saved in contacts as "SomSom".

HAN SOL(wip)
"Quote(i can't think of one rn)"
Sol didn't exactly warm up to Hyunhee the moment they met. Hyunhee was always hearing about the older girl from Taehyung. With the way he talks about how sweet and funny she is, Hyunhee was more than surprised when Sol gives her the cold shoulder. Words towards Hyunhee are always short and almost curt but not quite impolite, but Hyunhee can tell Sol isn't fond of her. She tries to get along with her, attempts to find out what made her group member feel so negatively about her but Sol never gives her an answer and brushes her off. So Hyunhee decides that if she can't be on good terms with Sol, she could at least stay out of her way. Sol at first, really disliked Hyunhee. To Sol, the younger girl has "everything" that an idol could want and is jealous of her looks. Hyunhee who isn't aware of the slander Sol experienced for not being Korean pretty, can't understand why she's so cold towards her.

As much as she doesn't like the prospect, it seems as if they may continue like this for the rest of their lives. So it comes as a surprise to her when Sol of all people offers to help her perfect their intense choreography. She's seen Hyunhee practicing for hours trying to perform the strainous routine, the kind that BTS themsleves perform, that the younger isn't used to dancing to. The pang of guilt in her chest causes her to turn back around as she passes by the practice room. "You should take a break, you aren't gonna get anywhere at this rate" Sol suggests and the tired Hyunhee agrees. Sol gives her a one on one lesson of the routine, she's still somewhat distant but she isn't cold like she was before. Saved in contacts as "Han Solo".

A/N: They aren't very close at first, but gradually open up to each other, this is kind of a starting point.

TRIVIA
On Camera Hyunhee is very self-conscious about how she acts before fans. Often worries that she'll say something awkward or make a comment that people might interpret as disrespectful. This causes her to be somewhat quiet during vlives in the earlier days of YN's career. Her members, always talk about how she's very different on camera compared to when it's off. She's talkative, goofy and rather relaxed then. Overtime, she gets used to the cameras and begins to show a bubblier side to her.
B-Day Shares a birthday with Jungkook so every 1st of September, BTS and YN hold seperate celebrations for the maknaes before coming together for a joint celebration. This time of the year, BTS and YN have to rack their brains thinking of two presents for the one day. V once wrapped both Jungkook and Hyunhee's gifts in the same paper. He didn't realise his mistake until Jungkook unwrapped a white, expensive purse.
Habits Bouncing up and down when excited, playing with her hair when nervous, hiding her face and avoiding cameras when she's crying.
Education Currently attending Seoul School of Performing Arts.
Family Hyunhee is an only child so to have YN is like having six older sisters and to an extent, she sees BTS as her older siblings too. She's only really close with V but is on good, talking terms with all of BTS, except Suga. Hyunhee is kinda intimidated by Yoongi. He barely talks to her unless its "hello", "could you deliver this to Yeni for me" or "please move I'm trying to get to the studio". She thinks Yoongi is silently judging her but really, he just doesn't know how to talk to her.
Aegyo Becomes embarassed and flustered easily when she's asked to do aegyo. She just can't act cute on command and always ends up laughing.
Music Part 1 She's YN's resident guitarist who they can rely on for accompaniment when they do acoustic covers. Hyunhee takes her guitar just about everywhere. Loves to play for fans on variety shows and fanmeets etc.
Music Part 2 She wants to be able to contribute to YN's music production one day. Currently, she writes lyrics in her free time and will often ask for Yeni's opinion on a song she's working on.
Hair Color Hyunhee doesn't like having to change her hair color every comeback but unfortunately for her, she happens to be one of those idols that can pull off any hair color and BigHit takes advantage of that. Still, they make sure to give her hair a break since they don't want their visual losing her hair.
Ideal Type "Who is your ideal type?" Truthfully, she doesn't know how to answer this question. The thought of romance rarely ever crosses Hyunhee's mind. She always gives vague answers to questions like these because really, she doesn't know that kind of person she'd want to be with.

PREVIOUS COMPANY + TRAINEE YEARS JYP + 2013-2016
TRAINEE LIFE
Hyunhee's trainee life had it's ups and downs. She was always praised for her singing and took every opportunity available to pratice. Dancing on the other hand, was one of the hardest skills that she's ever had to learn. Hyunhee has no experience as a dancer and can even begin to describe how much frustration learning a new routine caused her. Hyunhee considers herself fortunate to have had Somi as a friend. The younger girl was more than happy to stay in the practice rooms for hours helping Hyunhee with her dancing. Eventually, the years of practice paid off and her body became accustomed to the intricate movements that their routines demanded.

On Sixteen, she started out confident. She saw the show as an opportunity to show JYP her talent and potential. She made quite an impression on viewers with her singing in the first episode but in the end, JYP favored the trainees that showcased their charm and personality. Over time, she became overshadowed by other contestants on the show and her confidence began to dip. She did her best to show a likeable personality but was always outshined by her fellowed competitors, those who were more charismatic and animated.

She shifted between major and minor throughout the show but was eliminated in the final episode. If the pressure of the competition wasn't bad enough, she wasn’t chosen to join the final line-up even after JYP announced the addition of two more members. Hyunhee hadn’t displayed as much character compared to Sana or Dahyun but some argued that she should’ve made the cut over others for her vocals alone. Others argued that she was too young. In the end, Sixteen turned from what she saw as an opportunity to shine to leaving her questioning herself.

LOVE STORY
ONE
"Then what happened?"
"I left"
"Oh, right. Well, I'm glad you didn't give up in the end"
"Yeah, me too"
It’s June of 2017 and Young Nation had just debuted. The girls shuffled around the crowded stage, bowing to the artists that would from this day onwards be their colleagues, their friends, their rivals in the industry. As they make their way backstage, Young Nation are met with a cordial greeting and congratulations by six boys in white dress shirts. Hyunhee instinctively ducked behind their leader as the strangers neared the group. Being the social butterfly she is, Yeni quickly becomes acquainted with the boys collectively known as "Astro”. Hyunhee finds herself staring at a certain member with pastel pink hair who she thinks looks like an anime character with his unnaturally colored locks and innocent appearance. She instantly regrets staring the moment he locks eyes with her before awkwardly averting his gaze. Its been a few weeks since meeting Astro and Yeni has become quite good friends with Lee Dongmin. The other members are out doing leisurely activities or solo work BigHit has assigned them for them and Yeni is about to head out to meet up with her new friends. She doesn’t want to leave the maknae alone in the dorms though and invites Hyunhee to go join her. Hyunhee’s pretty awkward around new people to put things bluntly, but with Yeni’s help, she manages to strike up a conversation Sanha. He seems quite fun to be around and they have somethings in common maybe they could even be friends Hyunhee thinks.

TWO
"Are you sure Dongmin won't kill us for doing this?"
"Not if he can't find us...Aaand done! Everything's good to go"
"What do we do now?"
"Run"
Being around Sanha always felt like an adventure, it allowed Hyunhee to experience those carefree, foolish moments of youth that she otherwise would’ve missed out on. Yeni sometimes want to meet up with Eunwoo and the rest of Astro which Hyunhee uses as an excuse to tag along and see a certain someone. Together they play video games, play music and play pranks on the other members of their groups. Hyunhee feels like she can act like a complete idiot without being judged or scolded. Sanha brings out an outgoing, lively side of her whilst Hyunhee's level-headed nature balances out his more frantic demeanour. A lot of their memorable moments involve harmless shenanigans, but Hyunhee always remembers the calmer times they spend sharing stories about their lives. She listens intently as Sanha talks about how his father plays guitar and inspired him to become a singer. Her mind records detailed memories of every encounter she has with him and she finds herself replaying every moment as she's riding in the van on the way to their next music show. What they have is a friendship and that’s all she ever needs, Hyunhee repeats to herself in her head as she desperately tries to ignore the rapid beating in her chest when Sanha hugs her backstage after Young Nation’s first win.

THREE
"Pleeaassee, you've never played me any of your songs"
"Because they aren't good"
"Can I at least hear myself? If it really , I'll help you make it better"
"...Alright."
She tells him that her songs are mediocre, that there’s still much she wants to change about them so therefore, aren’t ready to be heard, but there’s a bigger reason why Hyunhee won’t play any of her songs to Sanha. They contain her very thoughts, words about her hopes, feelings and insecurities, something she isn’t sure she wants him to hear yet. She doesn’t know when, but at some point between the moment she met the boy who looked like he belonged in the world of fantasy and the present time where she’s sitting before him with a guitar in her lap, Hyunhee started to feel differently in the presence of her friend. Every time something amusing happens, she’ll think about how Sanha would find it so funny and wish that he was there to laugh about it with her. Her eyes seemingly sparkle whenever she talks about her friend and she can never take her eyes off him when he’s around. Whenever she's feeling down, simply being around Sanha cheers her up again. He doesn't even have to know that she's upset, he doesn't even have to try. Just by being his usual bubbly self Hyunhee’s mood improve whenever she's with him. When Sanha isn’t his usual bright self, Hyunhee is there to listen as he talks about his worries and insecurities and knows exactly the right words to restore him back to his upbeat personality. After reflecting on all the moments she’s spent with him, Hyunhee decides that she has no reason to hesitate and begins to play her song. By the end of it, she’s met with an applaud from the one person audience and words of encouragement. Then tears begin to slightly well in her eyes and she feels a certain someone’s arms wrap around her.

END
Hyunhee isn’t sure how Sanha feels about her, but Yeni and maybe the other Young Nation members can see that he really cares about his same aged companion. Eventually, Hyunhee notices the little hints he unintentionally (or intentionally) drops that seem to point to her feelings not being unrequited after all. The thought of that possibility makes her heart flutter with joy and her stomach drop in fear. Falling for another person, another idol at this age and at this time in her career isn’t an ideal situation. Their groups are rising in popularity, gaining more and more dedicated fans every day. The way Hyunhee sees it, love is a luxury in the idol world that she can’t afford. For now, watching Sanha happily perform for AROHA’s, seeing him smile and wave at her as they pass each other by during music shows is enough, she tells herself, even if she’s left with a feeling of emptiness. Hyunhee decides that in the future, when both of them have secured their places in the industry, when both of them have figured themselves out, only then will she tell him how she feels, that is, if she still feels the same way in the future.

A/N: This is basically the "framework" of how their relationship might grow over the story. I wrote some parts to be a bit vague so you can add in other little details as the story progresses. Feel free to ask me if there's anything you feel should be changed.

RELATIONSHIP STATUS Haven't met each other(Don't meet until after YN debuts)

LOVE STATEMENT

"I’m wandering unable to approach you
Although I like you I’m looking elsewhere"

"I’m still unable to say that I like you
When I see you hesitate I guess we are still too young"

"Promise me this, I hope you don't change
Smile at me then like you do now"

"Someday I will tell you all the things I didn’t say
I will approach you always"

TRIVIA
One fluff everywhere
Two Sanha loves teasing Hyunhee and likes to take advantage of the twenty centimeters he has over her. He also tries to rest his chin on her head but their height difference isn't quite big enough. Head pats are a thing.
Three Sometimes when she's in doubt, watching Sanha play guitar and sing motivates her to work harder. She thinks that if Sanha can make those improvements, she can too.
Four She probably has Sanha's name saved in her contacts as some pun or inside joke.
Five If anyone asks her if she likes Sanha, Hyunhee will deny denY DENY.
Six She finds it cute how jumpy Sanha is and finds joy in how he clings to her as she saves him from his ultimate nemesis: bugs.
Seven He can easily tell when she's unhappy especially when she laughs that fake laugh most people think is genuine.
Eight tba...

FINAL WORDS
I'm sorry for making you wait so long. I was really unsure whether she fit the plotline the way you wanted. I hope you like her~

Also I hope the love interest section was ok. I’m not great at writing romance but I did my best ><

SCENE SUGGESTIONS
One The savage cinnamon roll strikes! Maknae on top moments,Hyunhee annoying her unnies etc.
Two Hyunhee performing this
Three Something like Bangtan Bomb but for YN. Maybe these can be written as "bonus chapters" that are more light-hearted and humorus, depicting the girls behind the scenes.
Four Hyunhee meets up with Somi again after many months and they get into a fight where Hyunhee says somethings she doesn't mean and it puts more of a distance between them.
Five Hyunhee shyly asking Yeni to read some lyrics she wrote.
Six Hyunhee being scared of Yoongi and Yeni's like: "gurl he ain't that scary, in fact he's sweeter than sugar"
Seven Bangtan Nation moments !!
Eight Hyunhee and Somi are made MC's for some occasion and things are really awkward cos of their fight. But whilst working together, they start to act the way they used to when they were friends and have a heart to heart talk about what happened after Sixteen. Somi expresses her own doubts and worries which causes any bitterness Hyunhee felt towards Somi  to crumble. She apologises to Somi and they slowly mend their friendship.
Nine pls give this girl some friends
Ten Just hit her with all the teenage angst
