personality
estp(the entrepreneur) | Leo | Slytherin
Positive: Charismatic, Loyal, Confident, Ambitious
Negative: Proud, Bold, Immature, Reckless

Charismatic: Jiae is the mood maker and joker of the group who loves to make others laugh. She draws people in everywhere she goes due to her confidence and sense of humour. Her charm comes in the form of her good-natured, witty remarks and "cool" way of carrying herself. Whether she is chatting or performing, she never fails to engage others being relaxed and comfortable in most social situations. She's also the kind of person who can ease up a tense atmosphere or brighten a gloomy environment. In short, grabbing people's attention is a piece of cake for Jiae.

Loyal: If a friend was going down she'd go down with them. She'll support them in their aspirations even if no one else does. Family and friends are very important to Jiae growing up in a tight knit family who always supported each other. Despite the light hearted teasing, Jiae wouldn't think twice to jump in to defend her friends. She's fiercely protective of those she cares about and will verbally(or physically if needed)tear down anyone who hurts or wrongs them. Jiae is a kind person under her cool exterior and though she may not be very sensitive to their emotions, she's always there for her friends when they need support or comfort.

Confident: Confidence is a big part of Jiae's personality. She's proud of who she is and doesn't care for what haters think. In fact, her confidence is what has garnered her so much attention from fans and acknowledgement from other idols. She's confident in her dancing and rapping, but is still aware that there's room to improve. On stage, offstage, on variety shows or live streams, Jiae is always full of energy and never shows a hint of awkwardness or doubt. She can laugh off embarrassing moments like its nothing.

Ambitious: Jiae has always been one to aim high and go after what she wants no matter what others think. She has big dreams and intense devotion for what she loves. She works hard to achieve these goals and basks in success when she reaches them. At the same time she likes a challenge and doesn't turn one down, especially if it holds high reward. This of course means that she is very competitive.

Proud: With her confidence comes a lot of pride. Although she's aware that she isn't perfect and never thinks of herself as above than others, Jiae hates losing. If she thinks she has a good winning chance, she's gonna get her hopes up, which means she gonna be pissed when she doesn't win. This proud competitor has an ego that doesn't take well to being damaged. It's a good thing she gets over it quickly though, using defeat as motivation.

Bold: While her jokes are all in good fun, sometimes, she's more focused on delivering a good punch line than thinking about other's feelings. Jiae isn't the most sensitive individual and might accidently hurt some feelings now and then. She doesn't think before she talks and lets whatever comes to mind roll out onto her sharp tongue. However, she truly doesn't mean harm and always immediately regrets hurting someone(that she didn't mean to hurt). In fact, Jiae is actually a very caring person but uses bone crushing hugs and teasing to show her affection. She's not great at talking about "sappy" feelings either.

Immature: The rapper has a rather childish side. Jiae may spend hours on end polishing dance moves and writing raps, but she's hella lazy when it comes to anything else. She forgets to do her own laundry and leaves her belongings all over the place. Jiae is very laid back and doesn't always take matters seriously when she needs to. Her sense of humour sometimes dips into the immature side as well, making rather tactless comments at inappropriate times. Jiae is also bad at following instructions. She doesn't purposely defy others or anything, she just doesn't pay attention sometimes.

Reckless: Jiae acts upon her emotions rather than thinking her actions through. She likes to experience life to the fullest and seek all the thrills she can. This can lead to predicaments that her friends and company have to get her out of. Although she has a brain, Jiae doesn't always use it, often acting on her emotions without forethought or consideration. She's also very forceful when she gets serious, especially concerning her friends health and safety, at times like these, what she says goes. Although she can sound harsh with the things she says, her pushy attitude is really a sign that she cares.

background Born on the 25th of July, 1996 in Seoul, South Korea, Jiae has always been an outgoing, energetic child. She was always surrounded by people and loved being the center of attention. Jiae was a very active kid growing up who loved sports, learning taekwondo and playing basketball after school. She was also very fond of hip-hop music, due to her older brother Jihoon often listening to Korean rap artists.

Her cchildhood for the most part was rather relaxed and happy growing up with two brothers and two loving, supportive and slightly lenient parents. However, her families life style was sometimes a source of criticism from others. Family friends and relatives disdained the Park children for their interests and lifestyle, especially Jihoon who wanted to pursue a career in music production and Jiae who had little devotion towards school.

When she was twelve Jiae's friend invited her to take dance classes with her and Jiae, willing to try anything physical, agreed. Initially, Jiae only saw dance as a fun hobby but pretty soon, she realised that she loved to perform. She would spend hours in the studio perfecting a routine and indulged in the applause of others watching her. By the age of fourteen, Jiae decided that she wanted to be an idol after seeing BigBang perform and being amazed at their rapping and dancing. Her parents were quite supportive of her dream, seeing how much their daughter loved performing and how hard she worked to improve her dancing.

The following year, Jiae's mother was in a major car accident that nearly cost her her life. Although she survived, she would have to have on-going surgery. The family was devastated and began to struggled with everyday life. Because of this, Jiae's aunt moved in with the family temporarily to look after Jiae and her younger brother Jiwon as their father was often busy at work. To say the least, the laid-back, disorganised Jiae and her strict, conservative aunt didn't see eye to eye. Jiae was frequently scolded and lambasted for her unimpressive grades, unrefined fashion sense and "crude" taste in music. Conflicts with her aunt gave her constant frustration and it caused her to realise how common it was for her to be treated this way.

She's been told by family members to pursue a more "respectable" career. She's been looked down upon by classmates for her sub-par grades. She's been urged to give up on her "useless" dreams but never had she listened to those statements. And she wasn't going to start. Every time she was upset over failing a test or frustrated with life, music would drown out her misery and dancing relieved her pain. Music meant the world to her and she wasn't going to give up.

In 2013, when she was 17, Jiae auditioned for BigHit Entertainment as a dancer and passed.

connections
Park Jihoon: Jihoon is Jiae's older brother by 4 years and the person she considers the cause of her love of hiphop. Jihoon is calm, responsible and sarcastic a contrast to Jiae's loud, extroverted personality. Ever since she was a kid, Jihoon has been the one  to take care of her when their parents were busy and keep her out of trouble on the playground. He keeps her grounded and puts her in her place when she's acting conceited. Jiae sometimes complains about his nagging and calls him a downer but she's actually very greatful for her brother and never forgets to let him know how thankful she is for him looking out for her all these years. Although Jihoon is cold and very blunt, he cares a lot for Jiae and is very supportive of her dream to be an idol. Despite their differences, perhaps what the siblings both understand is each other's ambitions and their desire to achieve them.

Ahn Siwon: A fellow trainee to Jiae, Siwon and her have met on several occassions during their trainee years. The normally affable Jiae, somehow, actually found it hard to talk to Siwon. When Jiae heard that Siwon was a composer, she knew she needed to talk to her. Jiae had been learning to write lyrics as a trainee but also wanted to learn to compose and thought that Siwon might be able to help her. However, Jiae just had no idea what to say to her. Maybe it was her cool aura or withdrawn perosnality but something about her made it hard for Jiae to break the ice. Nonetheless, she forces herself into an awkward conversation. The exchange ended as awkwardly as it started, neither of them managing to really get acquainted. Whilst their on "friendly" terms, Siwon and Jiae really don't have much opinion on each other but hold respect for each other's different skills. Jiae is a little envious of Siwon's ability to compose and her elegant appearance though.

Jillian Moon: Jillian and Jiae became acquainted during their trainee days, the two meeting during dance lessons. Jiae noticed the other girl struggling with the routine and decided to help her, but not neccessarily out of kindness. In fact, Jiae just found it painful to watch her stiff limbs and awkward movements, deciding to assist Jillian, partly to save herself second hand embarassment. However, after hearing Jillian thank her profoundly, Jiae immidiately feels terrible for thinking of her as an embarassment. She soon learns that Jillian is very kind and hard working but for some reason she didn't seem close with the other trainees. Nonetheless, Jiae talks to her now and then. She loves Jillian's singing and always compliments her on her voice. However, Jiae also teases her for her round cheeks, unaware of the bullying she faces from others and oblivious to the eating disorders she suffers.

Park Jimin & Kim Taehyung: Out of all the members of BTS, Jiae is closest with the 95 liners. She finds them fun to be around and loves spending time goofing around with them. V is the most peculiar person she has ever met but he's also someone she finds to be very easy to share her thoughts with. They both like anime and bring out a childish side in each other now and then. Jiae appreciates Jimin's hard-working, friendly nature and has a lot of respect for him as a dancer. On the rare occasions that they get to hang out, they sometimes spend it in the practice rooms coming up with all sorts of dance routines.
WILL YOU PULL ME FROM THE GRAVITY?
love interest Jiae doesn't quite have a love interest, however, is it possible if she could have a strong admiration, borderlining crush on one of her fellow members? She greatly values this person and looks up to them for their personality and talent and is very protective of them. However, their relationship doesn't go anywhere beyond friendship.

Once all the applicants are picked, maybe I'll choose someone for her to like?

trainee years 3 years(2013-2016 Debut)
trainee background Jiae joined BigHit in 2013 and soon proved herself to be one of the best dancers among female trainees. After a few months under the company, she took up rapping since she enjoyed the genre(and it also meant she didn't have to sing).

With her friendly, laid-back personality, Jiae managed to become close to a few trainees and acquainted with many. However, some trainees found her to be arrogant and immature, thinking that she didn't take anything seriously. But they didn't know of the long afternoons she'd spend working on her dancing and the sleepless nights she experienced trying to write her own rap. There were one or two occassions where other trainees tried to discourage her but with a sharp tongue and self-esteem that's too high for her own good, Jiae simply brushed it off.

What really caused her distress was the thought of her family back home and how they were coping. Jiae constantly worried about how her father and Jihoon were managing school and work and how her mother was recovering. She missed them so much and wanted to go back to them but her desire to achieve her dream, prove wrong everyone who doubted her and make her supporters proud, kept her going.

During her first year of training, she once presented a self-written rap to Bang Sihyuk who assessed her saying that the lyrics were too simple with an unclear message however, her flow was solid and her delivery was pretty good, she had potential. Jiae took that advice to heart and would spend every night after dance practice working on writing raps and performed covers or some of her own lyrics to him every time she thought she had made improvements. And she did improve, rapidly. Her sense of rhythm got better, her delivery improved as well as her lyricism. Seeing her grow, the ceo knew he had struck gold with the charismatic trainee.

predebut In the weeks leading up to Tesselate's debut, this video of Ji.A rapping was released: X
scandals  On a few occasions, Jiae has been accused of being rude to her fellow members. Netizens point out the way she talks over her members and nudges them out of the way to get in front of the camera. Kpop fans started expressing their annoyance online and calling her inconsiderate, which, is actually true. Jiae is in fact a little self centred but doesn't mean to be. She just lacks a certain social awareness. But over time, she settles down and starts paying attention to how she acts towards others.

comments I'm so sorry this took so long but I'm done now! I hope I haven't missed anything but if there's changes that need to be made, let me know as soon as you can. Reading what you've written so far, seems like you have a lot planned for this story. As for my character, I've tried to make someone fun to play around with and cause all sorts of drama and antics. I'd like it if she could be the face of the group or centre in choreography(like Jungkook in BTS) but it's your choice. Anyways, I'm quite interested to see how your story plays out.
suggestions Could this be used as Jiae's solo song(ft. one of the group's vocalists) for a future album?

password "In ten years...hmm, Tesselate will have gained a lot of fans and are inspiring many people around the world with their music. It'd be cool if I could have a solo or release my own mix tape too. That's not too much to ask right?"
