BTS WINGS SHORT FILM

Honestly I don’t know what’s going on…

Yesterday when I was done talking to the future husband (who might not be my husband at all, maybe, I dunno) , my page was flooded with BTS related posts; the WING SHORT FILM

So I sat my down and watched ‘ #Begin ‘ ( I was dead tired) and frankly speaking I got the chills, because not only was it a shocker- considering it came out of nowhere, ut also the quality of it, the visual effects, and above the complicated theories.

So apparently, the first teaser starts with a quote from Hermann Hesse’s book ‘Demian’, told by Namjoon: “The realms of day and night, two opposite worlds coming from two different poles, mingled during this time.” From what I understood from other people’s analysis, the book is about a boy, Emil Sinclair, who lived the ‘day realm’ as in the world of the light, representing all that is good, pure, innocent, godly..; however, Emil has always felt attracted to the ‘night realm’ which is the dark world of sin, loneliness, insecurity…. This world is focused on a particular character; ‘Demian’.

Theory has it that Jungkook represents Emil Sinclair, and that the picture of suga that he’s holding is actually Demian. If we come back to the HYYH era, Yoongi is sitting alone on his bed (in a motel, I assume) playing with a lighter, and later on the whole room catches on fire. (we all know how suga doesn’t give a u_u )

Another theory says that the portrait that Jungkook is filmed painting is Yoongi/Taehyun (I dun really know). According to the story, Emil Sinclair was painting a picture of a girl he fell for, the more he got into drawing it, the better he got to realize that it was none other than  Demian. Another theory is that the portrait is actually related to ‘The picture of Dorian Grey ‘.

There are so many references from the HYYH era going on, especially from Save me and I Need U, so personally, I’m going to re-watch all the MVs and analyze all the lyrics over again, because I might go nuts.
