+ Appearance : Jaejin appears much younger than he looks, and he's often mistaken for a middle school or high school student. Yes, he has to carry his ID at all times, or he'll probably be scolded by adults who don't know any better. His thick-framed glasses almost always stay on, but his uncle tries to get him to take them off always. Contrary to popular belief, they are not prescription. He just enjoys them, and he has a few other pairs as well. Scared of needles, he doesn't have any piercings or tattoos. He does usually put a sticker on the corner of his right eye: Doctor Who, Breaking Bad, Sherlock, Once Upon A Time, and many many animes stickers.
+ Face Claim : Lee Chanhyuk (AkMu).
+ Backup : Hong Siyoung (Soloist).
+ Style : Style? Wrinkle-free jeans and a button down long-sleeved shirt that's tucked in, usually. In the summer, he might wear a neat, wrinkle-free t-shirt showcasing his favorite shows, books, or bands with his jeans. And shoes? Red converse. Those are his only pair of shoes.
+ Full Name : Park Jaejin. 박재진.
+ Nickname(s) :
— Minam/Pretty Boy; his uncle calls him this to 'help build his confidence'.
— Doc; he carries around a first aid kit with his own homemade sterilizer and medical equipment that isn't usually found in normal first aid kits. add that to the fact that he's a chemistry and biology major, and the nickname is pretty inevitable.
+ Birthday & Age : 12/12/1996 (20).
+ Hometown : Pyeongchang-dong, Seoul, South Korea.
+ Birthplace : Seoul, South Korea.
+ Ethnicity : Korean.
+ Height & Weight : 160 cm & 58 kg.
+ Spoken Languages :
— Korean; fluent, his native language is spoken in a clear gyeonggi dialect.
— English; semi-fluent, his second language was learned through his eidetic memory when he was fifteen years old.
— Japanese; advanced, his third language was learned through his eidetic memory when he was eighteen years old.

+ Personality Traits :
positive; tender, genuine, reliable.
neutral; socially-awkward, organized.
negative; fault-finding, egotistical, emotionally unstable.
+ Personality : People probably assume that intelligence will make it to Jaejin's trait list, but because it's so tiringly obvious that the boy's smart, we're going to skip it. Moving on, let's start off with his negative traits because that's what people usually notice first.

Jaejin es about everything. Good things, bad things, he always finds something wrong with a situation. It's very rare when he's not complaining, and that rare moment is probably pure bliss to everyone else around him. He can be such a pessimist. Most people think because he's socially-awkward that he's shy, timid, or self-conscious. This has to be the biggest misunderstanding in the world because Jaejin is the complete opposite. He's the most self-centered, self-absored, conceited 'nerd' I've ever seen in my life. People won't notice this right away, and people usually only notice when Jaejin's ego is bruised. It doesn't take a lot to do this, and when it happens, Jaejin pouts without end until someone comforts his ego once again. With that being said, it's probably already obvious that he's a little man-child. Even his emotions can't function properly. I'm talking rapid mood swings, impulsive behavior, and hostility for no real reason at times. This man-child most times needs someone to nurse him back to a calm state of mind again.

It's probably because of the negative traits that he's so socially-awkward. Add those with the fact that he can't shut up (literally, someone will have to tell him to shut the hell up, or it won't happen. he'll be a little hurt but whatever). On the bright side though, he's very organized and neat. If you want something clean, he'll cover it for you. This, however, leads him to become very OCD about where things are and incredibly germophobic (he's sensitive about who touches him).

BUT...I mean, he's not all bad seriously. Though he doesn't like admitting it much, he cares a lot for people. It's something he can't help. Naturally, Jaejin wants to be a good person that people like. He s it up a lot, but he does show his concern for others a lot as well. He will often be the voice of reason for why someone shouldn't do something bad to another person. And honestly, even with his bad traits, at least he's real at all times. All you'll get from Jaejin is genuine feelings, reactions, and behavior. He's an awful liar anyway, so it's not like he has a real choice. And he's actually very reliable of a person. He won't abandon someone who needs him, and he's a strong believer of leave no man behind. Truth be told, he sometimes wished he wasn't like this, but he has no real choice in the matter as his conscious won't allow him to be any other way.

+ Background : I know what you're thinking. Why the hell is this man-child in the music industry. Well, if you're hearing it from Jaejin's point of view, it all started with his uncle. The man graduated with a geology degree then threw that away to be a singer. A singer! Anyway, his uncle's little sister, Jaejin's mom, had him. And his uncle claimed that little Jaejin was 'oh so much like ME'. If Jaejin had 100 won for every time he heard that... So, music has been constantly forced onto him by his uncle from birth basically. His parents were happy Jaejin had a 'role model' to look up to, so Jaejin was stuck with this lunatic. All the boy wanted to do was read and study, so he could quickly and effortlessly become a doctor. But noooo, his uncle had to tell his parents that he should be "well-rounded" and "experience new things". 'Oh, I know! Why doesn't he become a trainee at my company!' Jaejin wanted to throw up. He loved music, he loves it, don't get him wrong. But his uncle made the whole thing sour. Jaejin sang for fun, for himself. That was it. He didn't want a career out of it. And yet, he was dragged along to JYP auditions at the age of 18. His uncle wanted him to be judged earnestly by several people no matter who he was related to. The audition went south because Jaejin didn't sing or dance. He just stood there, staring at his uncle in irritation. Then he heard those magic words, "I'll pay for your schooling in the states if you do this for me." Lo and behold, the boy belted out one of his uncle's old songs and got accepted.

+ Trainee Years : 2 years.
+ Trainee Life : This was possibly the worst time of Jaejin's life, but he could be exaggerating. In his eyes it was filled with minute after excruciating minute of practicing the same songs over and over again. He also can't dance worth a damn, so that makes him not want to dance ever. He hates it, and he thinks it's a waste of time for him. Of course, he was continuously pushed by his uncle, which made him resent his uncle and this period of his life even more. 'A thousand people want your spot right now', his uncle would say as if to encourage him. 'Then go get one of them, damn.

+ How do you feel about being in a survival show? : Jaejin looks off at his uncle, who's indiscreetly lurking behind the producer. Holding back a sigh, he plasters a small smile and mutters, "I think I'm incredibly lucky to be here."
+ What do you think will make you stand out? : "Singing. Isn't that what the show's about?"
+ Where do you think you're lacking? : "Nothing?" He catches a look from his uncle and refrains from rolling his eyes. "Dancing. My dancing is lacking."
+ Do you think you can beat the other contestants for a spot in the final lineup? I just want to go to the States to study, he thinks to himself. With a small sigh, "Sure."
+ Anything you'd like to say to the viewers? : Copying his uncle's gross enthusiasm and fan service, he sports a grand smile and fixes his glasses. "Let's have fun together!"
