trainee years: After joining YG Entertainment as a trainee in 2016, she was she was originally drafted into one of YG’s female dance groups, but she was put into the female training group two months later when she began “shaping up” her lyrics with Teddy and G-Dragon. Things were unsettling because they kept wanted her to change parts of her lyrics that she was adamant should stay. There was a lot of back and forth for months, and both males threatened to have her demoted back to a dancer status, which she honestly didn’t care much about. The disputes reached Yang Hyunsuk, of course, and she was sent to his office several times. The last time she was personally sent to his office for “causing problems” was in January of 2017. She was affected because the scar of her mother’s death being picked at by the anniversary, and she had gotten into a particularly heated argument with G-Dragon about her rapping skills. Being sent to Yang Hyunsuk’s office, she was told that a young lady, even one who plans on becoming a rapper, needed to let the men who knew what they were doing help her. Near tears and upset that he could see her without a stoic expression, she asked, “Is that something you will tell your daughter in the future?” Afterwards, he let her leave, and they used her exact lyrics (with only minor changes on things she allowed) for an iKON song that reached number one on the charts and stayed in the top ten for six weeks. After the incident, she was sent to Unpretty Rapstar Volume 5, joining in episode two and managing to get second runner up, next to more advanced rappers. The only reason she gets so far is because of her emotion and freestyle skills developed earlier in her life. Besides becoming close friends with the chariot, nothing else too exciting happens for the duration of her training.

personality: On the surface, it’s very hard to tell what Jodi is feeling. She often holds a stoic expression unless she’s overwhelmed with a certain emotion, like happiness or grief. Most people find her to lack a reasonable amount of empathy unless they know her well because she doesn’t often outwardly react to anything. A smile isn’t commonly given to someone she doesn’t know well simply because she feels that they haven’t earned it. Don’t mistake this to mean that she keeps an angered or mean expression on her face. She doesn’t. Her most common expression just lacks any emotion of any kind for majority of her days. Getting her to give her brightest is hard even for her closest of friends, but she will give small grins and chuckles to those who find a way to amuse her. Even though people may think of her without empathy, she’s actually a very caring and concerned person when it regards others. background: Past: Han Jodi was born on the streets of South Korea’s red-light district, Cheongnyangni 588, to a e and a successful businessman. Right at the conception of her birth, her father abandoned the young mother and unborn child with a small fortune left behind. He wanted nothing to do with them. It was understood. Who would want to take in the heavily tainted when there was a perfect life to be lived in the higher parts of the city? Jodi never held a grudge against her old man nor did she try to assume contact with him. She just merely acknowledged that there was a better life, and her old man should live it. Besides, how could she hate a person she never met? That’s just pathetic. So Jodi took care of her mother - and her younger, half-sister when she was around - diligently ever since she was capable enough to grasp money in her tiny fingers. She learned every type of trade possible to keep this broken family stable day to day. She managed to excel throughout school merely to put a smile on her mother’s face with the promise of university and scholarships in her future after graduating high school. And music, hip hop especially, found its place in her life. Music was everywhere when she was younger - much like it is in the present - and Jodi found herself addicted to all kinds: hip hop, r&b, ballads, pop, and even country had a place in her heart. She never minded to burst into a freestyle for her classmates, doing freestyle battles with people during lunch breaks and after school. Working part time and finding her mother a suitable job, they managed to move from the depths of Seoul into the lower middle class, and she was able to attend a better school. She found herself in much appreciated dance classes, where she learned to excel in different types and styles of dance, her favorite being, of course, hip hop, and, surprisingly, ballet. Despite her beginnings, Jodi herself had no problem pulling her and her mother up and making a suitable life for them. The exuberance and high moments of her past ended on January 4, 2015, the day her mother past away due to a cancer that neither she or Jodi knew about.

Present: Moving from that particular part of Seoul after her high school graduation, Jodi took a job as a hotel CEO’s assistant. She managed to hook the job with smooth talk and her appearance, making a salary high enough to live right on the outskirts of Gangnam. Without dance classes, Jodi remained a dancer in the privacy of her own home. She used her second bedroom, unused by anyone, as a studio, having mirrors placed over the walls and hardwood floor put in. However, she hadn’t rapped or written anything since the death of her mother, and she didn’t plan to write anything ever again. In the winter of 2015, suffering through a lonely holiday because her half-sister was spending the holidays with her other side of the family, Jodi stumbled upon a Christian church after hearing the gospel music coming from inside. She found herself moved by the preacher’s words, and to the present day, she will swear that he was one hundred percent talking to her from the pulpit. And that very same Christmas service, she joined the church as a member. It didn’t take long for her to become a regular church-goer, attending the different activities and events that they had. And though she doesn’t have much of a voice, she joined the choir. It rained on her birthday in 2016, there were no church activities or services, her boss had given her the day off, her half-sister was asleep on her couch, and she was undoubtedly disinterested in everything around her. So, for the first time in over a year, she picked up her journal and began writing everything she had felt since her mother’s death. Some lyrics were full of life and joy, others were rather depressing and made her cry silently to herself. After reading over her lyrics, her half-sister took the journal to her seniors at YG Entertainment, wanting them to give Jodi some type of job at the company. It took three months for them to even consider looking at the journal, but when they did, Jodi was asked to come in and audition. Her half-sister urged her and pushed her to do so, and, reluctantly, she went to the entertainment company with her dance bag and music. She rapped several covers, a few of her own lyrics, and she danced several of YG’s group’s dances that she knew. It was June of 2016 when YG brought her on as a trainee, her half-sister prompting that she could still train and work part time, and even if she didn’t end up debuting, she’d have a job surrounded by music, which she loved. She quit her job at the hotel, but she still attends church and prays regularly.

Future: Jodi doesn’t know what the future holds for her, and she’s not even sure YG will allow her to debut despite being skilled for a trainee. She doesn’t much mind because, as her half-sister pointed out, she’s surrounded by music, which makes her happy.

And probably their mental stability. he is the person who sees her smile the most, and he knows how to bring it out of her. they could never be romantic with each other because there's no ual attraction at all...not to mention, doyoung is very happily taken by another man.

friends is not really the right word for them. when they first met, jiwon tried to force her to bow lower to him (making a crude joke about her his because she was a new trainee and he was her senior), so she bowed lower like he said and punched him in the . in front of his groupmates. the best description of their relationship now is jodi and her stranded puppy. she won't claim him like he wants her to, but he actually holds a lot of respect for her now. he is the ikon member that she ignores despite him trying to prove himself.

because she's been babied for a while, being the maknae of 2ne1, she can be quite childish, which jodi can do without. however, she does enjoy her playfulness at times, letting the older woman amuse her from time to time. she also wants to support minji as jodi actually is a fan of hers.

personality: haeli is known for being a very vibrant and friendly even as a popular actress. she is dubbed korea's sweetheart, and she lives up to the nickname as she's quite the humanitarian, and it isn't just for show. she's been this way since her youth, and she has an intense desire to help people out in any situation they may be in. of course, she's not perfect either, and she has the tendency to be very blunt without meaning to. She also talks...a lot. it's very hard to get her to shut up, but she tries to keep quiet as best she can when times call for it. she enjoys the simple things in life, and she's very easily excited, wanting to share her excitement with others in any way that she can.

how you met/meet: they met briefly in 2015 when haeli stayed at the grand ambassador for her schedules. this was a bad time for jodi, having just lost her mother, so even though haeli amused her and made her smile and laugh all night for the first time since her mother's death (her boss sent her to entertain haeli so she would become the hotel's regular), so she didn't call her back when she and haeli exchanged numbers. they meet again while jodi is on unpretty rapstar, backstage actually since haeli was filming something in the next studio over. haeli scolds her for not calling her back, the girl almost in tears as she asked jodi if she disliked her that much. for the first time in a long time, jodi gave haeli a warm hug and whispered to her, "I think you are the cutest person i've ever met, and i want to be close to you. i'm just scared of losing people." haeli then restored their numbers in their phones, and she called jodi the same night, talking to her until the morning when they both had schedules.

interactions: jodi lets haeli do most of the talking, but she enjoys listening to the other talk. they are very sure of their feelings for each other (that they're romantic), and they've even have regularly, but neither brings up the idea of dating or even going on dates because the situation for both of them is too difficult for a life of dating. they do, however, text as frequently as they can, and haeli is someone jodi relies on when she feels herself completely losing it. haeli is the second person who gets jodi's smiles the most. they do little things, like hide intertwined fingers in a jacket pocket, share earbuds to share each other's music, and secretly kiss each other when no one is looking. jodi often tells haeli that she is the sun after a long day of rain for her.
