background : With wealthy parents, Winter was pretty much left to herself throughout her childhood. She had a string of nannies, not necessarily because she was so bad that they couldn’t handle it but because of her father’s constant affairs with any woman nearby who wasn’t her mother. Because she was an only child, and most likely because they were rarely home, her parents spoiled the hell out of her, gifting her with any and everything that she wanted. luckily, she didn’t grow up to be a complete spoiled brat, but she is very used to getting her way. And because she’s been alone for so long, she found ways to entertain herself, and luckily in her youth, the internet was growing quite rapidly enough for her to find anything and everything to obsess over. Her childhood obsessions included anything supernatural, American music, Korean music, music in general, writing, youtube, and anime. Being business people, Winter’s parents had to travel frequently, and Winter was pulled from school in only her second year to be home-schooled. This led to even more of a lonely life, but she was a smart student that didn’t give her teacher (who her mother made sure was male) any problems (other than often correcting any small mistake he made and arguing her points fervently).
At the age of 13, she asked her mother and father for extra money from the both of them, and she bought herself a plane ticket to Seoul, South Korea, her parents’ names forged on her paperwork. Knowing that they’d most likely say no if she asked to go to Korea and pursue a career in music at her young age, she went without telling them and bribing her nanny not to tell them until she had arrived safely in Seoul. She managed to rent herself an apartment, once again with forged signatures and the money her parents gave her (that she aptly got transferred to won at the airport). For the next few months, she went out and auditioned for any and every company that she could, her parents continuing to send her money to Seoul instead of coming to retrieve her because she threatened to merely run away again and again if they brought her back to New York. Only four months into being in Seoul, SM Entertainment hired her as a child model but not as a trainee. So she worked there to make her own money while auditioning for different companies. She ended up at SM as a model for almost 3 years until 2012 when YG accepted her as a trainee. There she began turning her short stories into song lyrics, developed her rapping, and even made her singing voice a little better. She was prepared to stay with YG until debut until Insung came up to her and convinced her to join Paper Planes, which she did.

With the stage presence of a god, his off stage personality could not be any more different.
