TRAINEE YEARS : FIVE years [ TWO YEARS UNDER TS ENTERTAINMENT / THREE YEARS UNDER JELLYFISH. ]
TRAINEE LIFE : — emmalyn's trainee days wasn't easy. in her first six months, it was really hard for her. she had to have a better korean and fix some language mistakes it was very hard to pronounce some words. thanks god that she had an intensive korean class to ameliorate her korean. her first six months was mostly focusing on her language so she can be able to learn well. plus, amerliorate her dancing abilities.
— the second part of the year, emmalyn finally joined the advanced vocal class. she was able to show her good vocal skills and worked hard. she had few clashs with other trainees because of her being mixed and having an accent when speaking korean. even if few trainees tried to push her down, emmalyn was strong mentaly enough to not let them put her in a bad mood. she would fight for her own place. luckily she became friends with few trainees who were very nice to her. she recorded her first demo in 2011 for jieun's solo.
— then, emmalyn left ts entertainment and went to jellyfish. that was when they started to train her rapping skills. because of her love of underground hiphop music, the ceo gave the idea to the rapping teacher to teach her rapping. emmalyn worked well to impress every monthly assignement. then after two years training with the girls, the ceo started to choose the trainees for luckie. seeing members leave the lineup every months and then, they finally got their final members and emmalyn had the chance to be chosen.

how do you feel about debuting after three years of training? THE TRAINEE YEARS FELT LIKE IT TOOK FOREVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER! I'M SO HAPPY TO FINALLY BE ABLE TO STEP ON THE STAGE AND SLAY IT ALL! /SNAPS FINGERS/.
what are your thoughts about the other members? they are fun girls. i love them /makes a heart/ they are also very talented in so different things. this is impossible to not like them.
how close are you to vixx? do you have a favorite? oh! I'm not very close with every members of vixx. I'm ravi's friend /winks. we 93 liner buddies /sings off-tone
who do you look up to as a role model? I ADMIRE LEE HYORI A LOT. SHE HAS AN AMAZING CHARISMA ON STAGE YET, SHE CAN BE HERSELF IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA WITHOUT BEING SCARED OF HER IMAGE. THAT'S WHY SHE IS MY ROLE MODEL.
if you couldn't be an idol, what would you do for a living? I THINK THAT I WOULD BE STUDYING IN MATHEMATIC. I REMEMBER THINKING OF BEING A MATHEMATICIAN. I LOVE MATHS /CHUCKLES.
what is your ideal type? is there another idol that fits your description? i personally like someone who's tall because i'm already a tall girl so... no short guys for me. a nice smile that makes me melt like cololate and also, a manly looking guy. maybe someone like song minho from winner ? he is cute /shrugs
what kpop groups would you like to meet? OH! THERE'S QUITE A FEW GROUPS THAT I LIKE. I PERSONALLY LIKE SISTAR, AFTER SCHOOL, RANIA AND NINE MUSES. I HAVE A PREFERENCE FOR IER GIRLGROUP. FOR BOYGROUPS, I'M A FAN OF WINNER, B.A.P, BIGBANG, INFINITE AND BTS.
