Honestly his confidence does half the work for him, he believe he looks great and so he looks great. His eyes are really bad, he can't see very well at all without his glasses. Of course he's got contacts but he much prefers just wearing his glasses. He likes working out and going on runs and he's quite built and strong, also thanks to his breaking and tricking, you need good core stength for that. Positive - Hyubin is always super postive. He tries to look at things from the bright side, pessimism is just not in his nature. This isn't always a good thing for others though, Hyubin can be annoying optimistic. He also doesn't understand that when people are sad sometimes you just have to let them be sad, he'll try to cheer them up and make them see the bright side when for them currently there is none.

background : Hyubin grew up in Nonsan, a fairly small city in South-Chungcheong province, and he never really strayed very far from it either. His parents started a small restaurant and that restaurant has been the center of their lives ever since. They even lived right above it. His parents are extremely hard-working, they built the restaurant up from nothing and even though they've always struggled, financially, it still stands. From the moment he was able, Hyubin has been helping at, mostly washing dishes in the back and sometimes acting as a waiter when he was older.
Hyubin has always likes music. He was infamous at the restaurant for putting on music and singing along when he was on dish duty. Sometimes he was so loud that you'd hear him in the restaurant, and his dad would come in and sush him, which would quiet Hyubin for about half an hour before he started again. The regulars all came to understand that sometimes dining at the restaurant meant a bit of extra background noise. He would also even then try to copy idol dances. Shinhwa and Fin.K.L. were his heroes, he adored them. When he was little he used to beg his parents to let him take dance classes, and they always told him that no, sorr Binnie, there's no money for that right now. What he didn't know was that they were saving up for it, and for his 12th birthday finally got to take regular dance classes. Hyubin chose hip hop because it sounded super cool, and he later switched to breakdancing which sounded super cool. When he was 16 he even learned some tricking, mostly learning cool flips and jumps, which was even cooler.
School was never really great for Hyubin. He's not very smart and he was always struggling with his grades.He got bullied quite a bit for being dumb, he used to count the minutes until the schoolday was over and he could skate until he was needed at the restaurant. Then everything changed whenAhri transferred to his class. At first he really wanted to impress her with how super cool he was (he didn't have a lot of friends). During the break he did some skateboard tricks and some breakdancing and he totally expected her to be all over him, wasn't he awesome?? But she just rolled her eyes and told him to stop acting like an idiot. However later when some of the other kids in his class were being mean to him she stood up for him and this was the birth of a beautiful friendship.She would let him cheat on tests and she yelled at the bullies, he made her laugh with that stupid charm of his. Just like that they were stuck together.
It took him a little while to confront the big gay elephant in the room (it was him. He was the big gay elephant). He'd always have those thoughts of "wow he's so handsome" or "omg that's a nice " but he denied any kind of possibility that these thoughts might be gay. They were just normal locker room thoughts right?? Denial is powerful thing though and it took until he was 16 when he got a major crush on one of the guys in his dance class that he really had to sit down and acknowledge the elephant. The first thing he said was "well... ". He told Ahri almost immediately after and the first thing she said was "no , you dumb , you've been checking out guys more than I have". It took him another two years to be comfortable with the idea of it all. He still hasn't told anyone other than Ahri. His mom might understand but his dad definitely wouldn't. He's also never actually dated anyone, Nonsan not having much of a gay night life and not feeling comfortable opening himself up for it.
When they finished high school Ahri moved away to study engineering in Seoul, while Hyubin knew that he wasn't smart enough for university and didn't really know what else to do with his life. So he stayed in Nonsan and became a full time employee at the restaurant. He was quite miserable, getting a bad case of depression because Ahri left, and feeling lost without a dream to pursue. He spent a year and a half like this, and saved up his paychecks for a trip to Seoul. It was the first time he'd even ventured out of the province and he was really excited. He got the bright idea to just drop in on Ahri at university and not tell her he was coming. On his way there he read about Saseum holding auditions and so h got the even brighter idea to audition for them because why not? It wasn't like he was doing anything else worthwhile with his life, and he was decent enough at dancing and singing. He auditioned with some breaking and tricking and no one was more surprised than he was when they offered him a position as trainee. He signed the paperwork right away (which probably wasn't super smart but hey this is Hyubin we're talking about) and immediately made his way to Ehwa where he just about didn't run into Ahri's classroom to tell her the news. - Hyubin's really bad at geography and often gets that stuff wrong during shows or interviews. When they perform in a foreign country he will make a point of looking up where it is and reading up about it so he show the fans that he cares.
- Hyubin is totally okay with being gay, but that doesn't mean he's any sort of out of the closet. Only Ahri knows and he's content to keep it that way. He's not looking for love anyway, he's far too busy for that. But don't think for a moment that he will put up with any homophobic behaviour.

She's very blunt and says what she thinks (and plainly tells him when he's being an idiot) and Hyubin really appreciates that. He calls her when he's unsure about something and she usually gives solid advice.

The two probably get up to more mischief than either of their leaders would like, and end up doing really stupid things with little regard for their own safeties. One small statement (I bet I could skateboard through traffic) snowballs until Hyubin's standing in front of a busy street with his board and Sanghyun is filming and one of the leaders runs up and yells at them for being irresponsible and stupid and trying to get themselves killed...

He's probably the smartest of the three of them, Hyubin often asks him totally reasonable questions like "is Russia a part of China?" or "do blind people experience love at first sight?" You know, as one does. He will also often confidently express that he cold totally bench-press Taewon, and with permission he might actually unsuccessfully try. Hey nobody's ever claimed that Hyubin isn't up for (failing) a challenge.
Unfortunately Hyubin's too dense to notice that Taewon isn't doing too well, emotionally. When he finds out, though, Hyubin will go out of his way to make him feel loved. He's one of his best bros and he won't stand by while one of his best bros is feeling bad about himself. Oh no sir that won't fly at all.
