the deep end
"i'm here for you"
( plotline ) : the dreamer
( personality traits ) : brilliant, creative, loyal, anxious, clumsy, people pleaser, cautious
( elaboration ) : when moonhee was young, she was a bright-minded and fearless girl. there was no end to her imagination and she lived for any attention she could get whether its her friends watching her do some silly dance or her parents applauding her for her brains. her parents praised her all the time for how smart she was but it didn't really register what was going on as she was just an excited little kid high off the compliments and attention.
when she got older and entered middle school. the fun that came with the compliments went away and was replaced with anxiety as she was scared to get anything other than an A. school had been an easy task for her and she ranked high in her class but she began to hate it. it didn't stop her from trying as she knew she had to do well for her parents and could usually be found quietly crying to herself as she did her homework. this need to please went beyond her parents and she found herself trying to please everyone around her from her teacher to her friends. through all of this moonhee managed to keep her creativity but it's more of a secret that she likes to keep to herself. in fact, this is when her creativity started to really come to life and she used her talents in an attempt to do something for herself for once. it always brought her back to the time of being a kid and how things were so simple.
Now moonhee is basically the same as middle school but just double the stress. she can be on the verge on cracking because of all the things she has to do but she'll still be unable to turn down a request. she is always doing something for someone else because she's scared to let people down. pile that with all the schoolwork and trying to keep up the image of this "perfect student" and you get at least one breakdown a day. (thankfully she can hold it in until she's home so she doesn't have to inconveniece anyone) moonhee  is also a very clumsy girl. she's always in her mind trying to plan everything out that she tends to not watch where she is going and has tripped and bumped into things and people on a plethora of occasions. she's also been known to knock a thing or two over.
looking back on the girl she was, moonhee misses the days she would get a compliment and it was like handing her a bag of candy. now every compliment just adds to her never-ending inner monologue about why she had to succeed. she'd give anything to go back to the days where she didn't care so much about others opinions and school was fun.

( background ) :  moonhee is an only child to two now, former teachers. they noticed the potential in moonhee young and pushed her to be the best she could be. while it was all cool and fun in the beginning, it began to really mess with moonhee as she got older. but as a child, she lived for the compliments and praise she would get.
when she was seven, moonhee's parents told her that for the summer, they would be visiting her grandparents in gwacheon, as they were in the process of remodeling an old convenience store and they were going to help. even moonhee was set to help up (that idea however, went down the drain as moonhee decided she should paint a pretty mural on the wall. she ended up spilling the paint on the brand new tiles and was ordered to find some kids to play with.) moonhee was sent outside where a cute boy was walking by with his mom. being the brave little girl she was, asked if he wanted to play and that was how she met haewon.

Sadly, they never went back to gwacheon long enough for moonhee to try and reconnect with her friends she met that summer. (she mentioned wanting to get in contact with all of them but really, she wanted to get in touch with haewon since she had a bit of a crush on him. he was cute and creative and everything seven year old moonhee could ask for in a boy) moonhee didn't know if they all lived there or moved away.
as moonhee got older, she noticed her parents seemed to be having trouble with their relationship. there was a lot of shouting back and forth at one another and moonhee had to sit there awkwardly as they each would complain to her about the other. moonhee noticced that the one thing they seemed to agree on was that she was a brilliant young girl who would go far in life. this was start of school becoming less fun. she felt she had to do well for the sake of her parents and felt she was the thread keeping her parents together. she worked hard to mantain her grades because even though it all came easy, she found it hard to focus with her parents always yelling in the background. moonhee once failed a test and she watched horrified as her parents went back and forth placing the blame on each other. now moonhee was always terrified to do bad and the fun was truly gone. it also didn't help that as she got older, school got harder and she was too scared to admit that she might not be as smart as she thought.
moonhee developed anxiety over school and despite always worrying internally about her schoolwork, made time to help everyone around her. thankfully her teachers were aware of how much she helps out as she is always after school tutoring others or helping the school in some way and try to help ease her anxiety in any way she can. no one knows the full extent of how much stress moonhee puts hereslf through for the sake of others but a few teachers and students have a small understanding.
now she has bit more control over her life as her parents went from yelling to not talking at all. when moonhee's grandparents past away, her parents put aside their differences long enough to move out to gwacheon to take over the convenience store that ws given to them. with everything going on, moonhee doesn't have the heart to tell her parents that she dreams of being a dancer- and secretly has for a while now. while her parents were aware that she liked to dance around as a kid, they figured it was her being energetic and well, a kid who loved attention. and while yes it started out like that, it grew into so much more. dancing became the way that she could express herself and her creativity. few know about this love as she mostly dances behind closed doors. and she's too embarrassed to reveal that this all started because of something some seven year old crush told her. (he may have sparked it when she was young but moonhee swears it's grown far from something she's doing because of some boy)

the interview
"i miss being a kid"
( so - what's your favorite memory from the summer you were seven? ) : all! can i say that? /puts hands over mouth and laughs/ i really treasure the moments from when i was seven a lot. if i was too pick a memory i would have to say that the moment when i put on a mini concert like performance and danced for everyone. that day haewon actually told me he could see me on a stage when i was older and i think about that a lot actually.
( what'd you think of the kid with the clubhouse - shin haewon? ) : he's always alone and i want to go talk to him but every time i try to something comes up and i never get the chance to. i hope he is doing well. i bet he doesn't know how much i think about him... about everyone from when i was seven...
( can you drive? like, legally? ) : /furiously shakes head/ oh no! driving scares me. i'm happy being driven by others or taking a bus or riding a bike. i know eventually i'll have to but for now... /cringes as the thought of drving/
( how do you look back on that summer? ) : people say that you remember things better than what they were but i don't think that's true in this case. i believe that summer is one of most favorite times of my life. i wish i could go back all the time.
( qnd now you're reunited with all those people. how does that feel? ) : i don't know how to feel. i... i want to be happy and be friends again. but is it possible after all this time? i know i'm not the same and i'm sure the others have grown up too. would we all be able to match as well as back then?

the romance
( love interest ) : kwang myungdae (ikon's jung chanwoo)
( backup ) : shin haewon
( gender ) : m

( personality ) : myungdae is a very shy person who most haven't noticed before and he's content with things like that. he's a very cautious person and tends to think things through too much to the point he talks himself out of doing a lot of things. (such as talking to the people in his class.) if you bring up the right converastion with him than myungdae can actually be very talkative. (these topics include music and the stars. he loves astronomy) myungdae is an overall positive person and tries his best to find the good in everyone.
( meeting ) : the two officially met when myungdae came into the convenience store that moonhee's parents own. she had been in there after school talking to her mom and he came in to buy some snacks. moonhee notices the boy and goes up to him to find out it's the one kids from her homeroom. myungdae recognizes awkwardly greets her, shocked to see her outside of shool. and he is even more shocked to find out she knows who he is. moonhee tells myungdae not to be a stranger at school and that they should be friends, seeing as he doesn't seem to have any. although he is taken a back, he agrees to try to talk to her at school.
( interactions ) : moonhee is good at getting myungdae to open up and speak without care. she is the main person that he talks to at school and she's always asking him about astronomy. the two are very animated with one another. when moonhee begins to develop feelings for myungdae, she becomes a lot more clumsy around him but it's okay because myungdae finds it cute.

( relationship ) : myungdae has a serious crush on moonhee but he's managed to talk himself out of telling her at least ten times. and moonhee seriously has a crush back but honestly she hasn't really thoguht about the fact that he may like her back or even though about telling him.
