It wasn't hard for hyemin to accept the institute as her home, it was the first one she ever had. She was one of the only people who didn't want to venture out the walls she knew so well, it scared here. The caretaker that would come and tell her stories and sing songs with her, had spoke of it. A world that was destined for destruction, and had monsters roaming free in the streets. Fear swelled in her heart, and from then on she couldn't stand the thought of walking outside. As a child, she didn't understand why she had to go outside, when she was given food, family and a place to stay there. She didn't understand the white lies adults had spun at her. In ways, she wanted to stay with them, dancing in the cage they had built for her. She didn't question anything, she followed the instructions, did whatever they told her. Ate all of her vegatables, studied hard and trained as much as she could. It was a routine that was never broken, but the dull and basic routine is what made a spark ignite in her heart. The spark of wanderlust, to escape and see if the monsters she was told about, were as scary and horrible as she expected.
A couple months, give or take a few, before her 18th birthday, was when all test subjects had been gathered in the spacious lab. By the head scientist of 3XO-DU5, it was different. They were supposed to have been eating breakfast in silence, they weren't- it scared her, made her hold her breath and hide behind the older kids. Reluctently, she was pushed into pods, and bit her bottom lip in pain and agony as a liquid was injected into her body. Painful at first, but the aching numbed, and all she could think about was how blue and clear the liquid has looked. She didn't realise it, but they were no longer the humans dancing in a cage for the scientist, rather they were now monsters dancing in a cage.
It was when she had met the carefree and untamed Jongin, that she began to see light in a different light. After being thrown together in a room that she once felt uncomfortable in, she loved the cramped space they shared together. Hyemin loved the stories of the outside world that he talked about, and his apparent wanderlust. The way his eyes sparkled ever so subtly when he talked about a city full of busy cars and cafes. Slowly, the Hyemin that refused to step out of her room, was being infected by his lust to travel, to see the world. She found herself staring outside windows frequently, concentrating less on the food in front of her.
After several days of being trained in basic combat and weaponary, she found that she was somewhat skilled in hand to hand fights. Though she couldn't say the same things about using gunds and such. When they were all thrown into the city, rather than being scared, she felt somewhat thrilled. Because were immune to the flu, the job they were given was completed within several days. Much to the scientist's satisfaction.

They found each other vanishing and reappering, suddenly being able to move to different places without walking. After examinations, they comfirmed that the pair was now able to telaport. But their powers were not stopping, rather they grew. They could easily escape out their rooms and into major cities in a flash. Which the pair had tried several times, only to be dragged back.
Hyemin was no longer allowed to stay in the same room as Jongin, with upgraded security. The freedom that Jongin had dreamed seemed impossible for her, it was hard enough to look outside a window. All meals came to her, and she had her feet chained with locks to the wall, because Hyemin could not move the chains out the wall, and could not use her powers to escape either. She was always blindfolded, and would often move closer to the walls and tap on them to see if people could hear her. No one, the walls were much thicker and stronger now.
When the head scientist, or the man she calls 'daddy' appeared, he told them about the plan to destroy them. Hyemin was furious, how could they even think about killing them, after all they did. She reminds people, how quckly something so sweet can turn into poison. She acts only after knowing what she wants to do, and is often worrisome as she is the type to do what others say no matter who it is. In ways she's very easy to manipulate, and doesn't handle being questioned very well.

+ Park Chanyeol | the pair seem to be pretty good friends, often ending in Hyemin giving Chanyeol a bloody nose because he called her curveless, but he protests and says that its simply her way of showing love. Chanyeol dots on Hyemin and cares for her the most after his own partner of course.
+ Kim Dani / as children it usually ended with Hyemin shoving the food she didn't want onto Dani's plate, but after her partner being lost,she couldn't help but visit her regularly. Maybe its pity or concern, but Hyemin always gives hugs and bakes cakes for the girl.

Jongin lives in a somewhat spacious apartment in the heart of London, with his partner of course. The pair do everything together, go on road trips and explore the world, he is the most content he has ever been because he could finally see the world outside. He is healthy, and living well, has a minor job that manages to pay for their living costs. Jongin has stopped using his powers, unless its when him and Hyemin visit the head scientist and Dani. He still feels concerned and guilty about kicking Kyungsoo down, but feels relieved becuse he knows the older man is still alive. How he knows is simply because if Kyungsoo had died, Dani wouldn't have been breathing.
He spends time with Hyemin a lot more, still telling her stories, dragging her outside at twelve am to show her the stars. To him all the dreams he had imagined about being free with Hyemin came true, buying her little toys and waking up to a sleeping Hyemin in his arms. Though he still seems weary about his surroundings, and dislikes talking to people who he doesn't know.
Bond –
More than Hyemin, Jongin was excited to meet his partner, afterall he wanted to bond with someone and tell them his stories. To him at first, he simply wanted to talk to someone, but he got a lot more than he expected. Even when Hyemin was still awkward with him, he seemed completly settled and nudged her softly.Though he seemed somewhat closed off to others and the staff that examinted him, he had always smiled at Hyemin. To him, she was the little kitten that smiled like nothing was wrong, he loved that. It made him feel content, he wanted to show her to world, and count the stars with her. He tried everything to gain the girls trust, ate all of her vegatables and secretly shoved his meat onto her plate, in ways, he turned into a fool for her.
During the flu, however he finally managed to get close to Hyemin. After running around dragging infected bodies away and attempting to save those who were clean, he found that they had been a lot more close Jongin realised at this moment that she was more than capable of protecting herself, and was more like a lion than a kitten when angry. But it made him happy, that she began to let him defend her even when she didn't need it. She would depend on him more, fall asleep in his arms and promise him that one day she'd make sure he could see the world. He knew clearly that she didn't want to leave the home she knew so well, but linked her pinky finger with his and promised that one day Jongin would be able to see what he wanted. And in that moment, Jongin realised that he couldn't let her get hurt no matter what.
