I took the empty cups and sprayed sanitizer on the table and then wiped it with the clean towel on my apron. As I was wiping thoroughly the table, I heard some buzzing thing on my ears. Is it just me? I stopped and looked back at Jason which is also looking at me with the same expression I have. Same as the other employees.

Then a lady not too far away from where I was, screamed and pointed outside. The beach was calm but people were panicking running away from the beach. Then my eyes caught the blinking sky which was coming closer and closer. And then I noticed that it was planes. But why?

I started to feel uneasy inside. I grabbed the tray and went to the counter beside Jason. “What’s happening?” I asked him.

“Don’t ask me. We’re both here.” He looked at me and held my hands. “But I think it’s not good by the way I am feeling it.

“Me too.” I squeezed his hands.

“For everyone’s complete safety, please exit the café. We really don’t know what’s happening but it clearly shows outside that it’s not safe. We will be closing early. We will give refunds and free drinks tomorrow for those who have taken orders but wasn’t serve.”

Mika and Liz was at the door saying goodbye to the customers who were also panicking by the situation right now. As the door opened, the screams outside were getting louder. What is happening? I panicked. Something is off. The siren went screaming everywhere then everything was shaking. A loud blast was heard and everything just went off.

I was back on my conscious mind and all I can hear are loud noises of whistles on my ears. I opened my eyes and tried to remember what happened before this all. I can see the bright sky before me. I just realized that I was on my back laying on the cold ground. I pushed my elbows and moved to sit down but I felt the pain on my head.

I looked around and my jaw dropped at what I saw. The moon on the sky was shining brightly lighting the whole area. It was a big disaster. The café’s roof was no more. The buildings around were on a mess, if not, then it’s all torn down. The skyscrapers were nowhere to be seen. Fire and black smoke was everywhere giving extra light to the surroundings. It seems like hell here.
