A/N: HI THERE!! I apologize for being so late ;; anyway! So, since writing this took a lot more time than I had expected, I'm gunna be splitting this into two parts. I really meant for this to be about 1000~1500 words but...I was totally wrong lol. I'm starting school this Wednesday so I'll be a bit busy but I'll try my best to post the second part as soon as possible! Again I'm sorry for the delay and any mistakes I may have made in here, I'll fix them as soon as I can. I hope you enjoy the first part of the story and wait patiently for the second! The Boy Who Cried Oppa

He wasn’t really sure when his crush started. It just happened and he couldn’t help it. His pale face like porcelain, long and thin fingers, broad shoulders, and small yet defined muscles. He was the perfect man in his eyes. Even Hyuk himself didn’t expect to like a guy, but it happened and he truly didn’t mind.

However, he knew that it would be hard to keep a relationship – yet alone have one – with Taekwoon since, for one, he was older than him by five years. And secondly, Taekwoon showed no interest in men whatsoever. It was pretty much a big red flag that screamed JEONG TAEKWOON IS IMPOSSIBLE TO HAVE. Getting close to his hyung was a must. He didn’t care how he did it. Even just being close friends like he was with the leader was okay.

In any way he could, Hyuk would do absolutely anything to try to get close to the loving-babies-and-pets hyung.

It was morning and Hyuk had just woken up from his slumber, body still lazily lying on the bed. The voices and loud sounds coming from the other side of the door indicated that the rest were already up. Since they had a break for today, everyone seemed to want to go out.

“Taekwoon, can you wake Hyuk up? We’re going out to eat then shopping!” came Hakyeon’s voice.

The maknae rolled his eyes, his lips curving upwards the second Taekwoon opened the door.

“Oppa,” Taekwoon said softly. A deep, red blush painted his face that spread to his neck. “Do you want to come eat with us?”

Hyuk smiled victoriously this time and jumped out of bed, suddenly awake and excited to be called oppa by his beloved hyung.

Taekwoon didn’t look amused. He was the terrifyingly cute puppy right now, as he was wearing his one of a kind embarrassed expression, sleeved arms coming over his face. Hyuk had to admit whenever he saw that, he couldn’t help but feel his whole day brighten up. And calling him oppa for that matter. He couldn’t be happier. It was like winning the lottery.

Taking a step toward his hyung, he laid his fingertips on his hyung’s chest. “Now, would you so kindly close the door and watch me change my apparel? Or would you prefer waiting outside?” Hyuk asked.

Taekwoon’s eyes looked like they grew into the size of his fists. They were that huge, and his face went on a whole other level of red. He hit the boy lightly, face flushed and hot. “Shut up!” he screamed-whispered. And he left the room, quickly shutting the door behind him.

Hyuk laughed. He changed into a fresh pair of clothes and quickly went out to go meet with the others.

It was just last night that they played that dreadful game. Well, Hyuk thought it wasn’t so terrible. It was just Truth or Dare, there was nothing much too it. Because Hyuk had won, Taekwoon got a penalty and it would last a week. Today was day one.

Last night, Hyuk had been tossing and turning in bed. It was summer and it was hot. He couldn’t sleep at all. He wondered how everyone else was able to sleep in such weather. Dehydrated and exhausted, he got up from bed and went into the kitchen to get a cup of water.

Taekwoon was there, surprisingly, cooking noodles.

Hyuk stopped and they looked momentarily at each other. His heart hammered inside his chest. It was like time stopped and this one moment lasted for eternity. Taekwoon was like the Eiffel Tower to his Paris. The bowl to his rice. The other half of his heart. The Remoraid to my Mantyke!

“…What?”

He instantly wanted to slap himself. He couldn’t believe he just said that last sentence out loud, and worst of all, a Pokémon reference, of all things. He groaned internally, not bothering to come face to face with his embarrassment. He felt like a school girl in love, and he wasn’t too fond of that idea. Instead, he decided to man up and swept everything to the side.

“Taekwoon hyung,” said Hyuk, “what are you cooking there?” He skipped over to the older man and looked into the pot despite the fact that his question was basically answered with a glance.

The said man didn’t reply and continued cooking. “Do you want to eat with me?” asked Taekwoon.

Hyuk nodded and went to sit at the table. They were both quiet until the food came and Taekwoon seated himself.

In the middle of the night with only the two of them and nobody else, it felt like somewhat of a date. Hyuk couldn’t hide the fact that he felt giddy about it even though he knew it would all be impossible. Still, though, getting his hopes up were the closest to believing. He would rather believe than be gloomy about the whole idea. Hyuk just really admired his hyung and loved him and liked gazing at him for every second he had. He was absolutely marvelous and stunningly handsomely perfect.

Those were definitely weirder-than-normal-after-midnight thoughts clouding his head now.

After they were finished eating in silence, they continued sitting in more silence. Both didn’t say a word, didn’t bother saying anything. The noodles his hyung cooked were always the best and he felt satisfied. He could eat them every day if he could

“Hyung,” Hyuk whined childishly, making a pouting face. “Let’s play a game.”

Taekwoon looked at his dongsaeng suspiciously, eyes closing in on him slowly. “It’s late.”

Hyuk nodded, but continued. “Yeah, so? Just one simple game, please! It’s hot, I can’t sleep and I’m bored.” He tried his best to make the cutest pouty face he could pull.

Within seconds, Taekwoon sighed and gave in. Hyuk knew he was irresistible, in more ways than one. He had to thank his parents for the genes they gave him when he was born. Otherwise, the spell wouldn’t have worked.

And that was when they started playing tic-tac-toe that somehow transitioned into thumb wars and then Truth or Dare. How that transition happen, they would never know. At least an hour passed. They had been playing for a long time now. It was Hyuk’s turn and he was excited, he was smirking so widely inside he felt like he could be the Joker.

Somehow in between, a penalty was installed. And whoever refused to answer a truth or do a dare, they would be declared the loser and get the penalty of calling one oppa.

“Truth or dare?” said Hyuk.

Taekwoon seemed to be in deep thought before answering with truth.

Clearing his throat, he looked at his hyung directly in the eyes. “Do you have somebody you love romantically?”

Taekwoon sighed. “Can I change it to a dare instead?” he asked.

Suddenly, Taekwoon became scared. The devilish smirk that emerged upon his lips. Maybe he should’ve confessed who he loved, but it was too horrifying. Whatever dare it was, he would rather take that than anything else. Jumping straight into a truth seemed like the end of the world. It was almost like he just volunteered to jump into sun without protection.

“Take the penalty and call me Oppa. For a week.” Hyuk crossed his arms, one leg over the other and leaned back into his chair. Oh, yes, the game was definitely in his favour.

Taekwoon was horror-struck.

That was the beginning of it all, of how Taekwoon got roped into the penalty of calling the maknae his oppa. Hyuk had to admit he felt pretty proud of himself. He was the king of jacks and the top of the pyramid. Maybe there was a tinge of guilt swimming around in him, but he shrugged it off.

It was day two of his penalty. To Hyuk’s unfortunate misery, Taekwoon had not called him his favourite word yesterday. There was just not a time at all. Well, that was okay. Today, he would try harder. Even though Taekwoon was obligated (which sounded bad worded like that) to call the maknae his oppa, it was just that he wasn’t around Hyuk much. Dismaying enough, he was always with Hakyeon and Jaehwan.

Maybe it was an attempt to avoid Hyuk so he couldn’t call him oppa! That had to be it. There was just no other reason, Hyuk thought.

He put his head in his arms, groaning in frustration. Hyuk couldn’t come up with ways to get closer to Taekwoon and actually manage to stick by his hip for the whole day from morning ‘til night. He attempted to hug himself more, but that obviously wouldn’t work in a toilet stall. Instead, he heaved a heavy sigh, leaning his head on the wall.

Then there was a knock to the door of his washroom stall and a pair of black boots. He recognized them. He saw these pair of footwear back in the recording studio.

“Hy- …Oppa.” There was a pause. “You need to come record your part, it’s your turn.”

Hyuk opened the stall door and he saw Taekwoon with a flushed face. Smiling, he nodded. “Before we go back, there’s something I need to tell you,” said Hyuk.

Taekwoon nodded, looking at Hyuk seriously.

“You have to call me oppa at every time of the day and wherever.”

Taekwoon scowled.

Then they left the washroom and went to the recording studio to where everybody else was.

Hakyeon turned to them immediately. “Where were you, Hyukkie? Did you know how long you took? I had to send Taekwoonie to go out and look for you. I was worried about you.” By now, the leader was already at the maknae’s side and hugging him tightly, attempting to cry. “We were all worried about you, did you know? I was this close to calling the police to send out a search party!”

Hyuk couldn’t help but roll his eyes in amusement. His leader’s nagging went on for another ten minutes until he was able to pry himself off of him.

Hyuk stepped into the recording room, settling the headphones over his head. He cleared out his throat and looked up through the glass. All the members were there. He could still here their voices clearly as they chatted about.

“Oppa,” Taekwoon buried his face into the palms of his hands. “Do your best.”

Suddenly, everyone was looking at Taekwoon, surprise written on their faces. Before Hyuk could say anything in return, the song had already started and everything was muted out. He gave his hyung a thumbs-up to let him know he was listening before focusing his attention to the song.

After hours spent in the studio, they were headed out for supper for a job well done, a treat their manager offered for finishing recording for all their new songs. Everyone in the van was quiet. Hyuk observed from the back. He could catch the rest of the members sneaking glances over at Taekwoon.

Hakyeon, as always, was the first one to break the silence. He turned in his seat slightly so he was able to face all the members. “Everyone, listen up. We need to have a meeting. And you know what this is about.”

In a small fraction of a second, Hyuk could guess what Taekwoon felt when everyone’s eyes were on him. Now, they were all looking at Hyuk, and Jaehwan was looking back and forth between the two.

“Any words you two would like to offer, Hyuk, Taekwoon?” said Hakyeon. Okay, that sounded more like a demand than a question. He could feel himself cower just a bit from the gaze that was piercing him so thoroughly and sharply.

Hyuk looked at Taekwoon for help, but he only stayed seated, crouched over slightly and not bothering to look back to where Hyuk sat with Hongbin and Wonsik. He wouldn’t be of any help, of course. He closed his eyes, almost, trying, thinking. He wasn’t going to give a response to his leader, but he decided to anyway. Taekwoon looked as if he wouldn’t be talking for another century, so he might as well have to step forward with the answer.

“Taekwoon-hyung has a penalty,” Hyuk answered truthfully. He almost wanted to say, Taekwoon has an oppa . He decided against it at the last second, scared from the thought of seeing the ugly picture at the end.

And after that, everything somehow returned to normal as if nothing had happened, much to the maknae’s surprise. Dinner had gone by surprisingly well and Leo had even said ‘oppa’ twice, which made him happier as the night went on.

Just before Hyuk was about to go to his room to go to bed, Taekwoon came out of the bathroom and they acknowledged each other’s presence.

“Goodnight…oppa,” Taekwoon said, then headed to his room, closing the door behind him.

The younger smiled, suddenly feeling his cheeks tingle and burn with a blush. He hoped that the quiet hyung didn’t see him blushing through the dim light in the dorm. Quickly, the maknae scurried into his room and wrapped himself up in blankets. Just across from him, Wonsik was fast asleep so Hyuk was able to stay awake without noise, even though he was snoring loudly. It was still better than nothing, though.

If he didn’t sleep soon, day three would come quicker. And yet, Hyuk stayed up and looked at the ceiling, a tiny smile comforting his lips with pleasure. He couldn’t stop thinking about that moment with Taekwoon. The tired but cute expression on his face as he said goodnight.

He sighed cheerily, face buried into his pillows. He didn’t care if he looked like a teenage girl in love. His heart just couldn’t take it all in at one time. All he wanted to do was hug and cuddle Taekwoon like the little, adorable teddy bear he was and feed him and protect him and take extra care of him. God, was this how all Leo fangirls were?

Hyuk shrugged it off. Who cared? Because now, he declared that he, Han Sanghyuk, was now a Leo fanboy, a Jeong Taekwoon stan. He was now one with them.

His head ran through races upon races before he fell asleep.

“Ya!”

He groaned in protest, curling up and closing his eyes tighter.

“Ya, Hyuk! Wake up!”

He threw the blanket to the side and looked up at a tired Wonsik.

“Get ready, we have to go over to the photoshoot in an hour,” said Wonsik.

Hyuk reluctantly got up. He was sleepy but somehow managed to drag his legs to the shower and changed into a fresh pair of changed clothes. Everyone was half asleep when they got into the van and were headed to the photoshoot. The baby of the group hoped that the day would go by fast…until he caught a glimpse of a sleeping Taekwoon in the rear view mirror.

Actually, maybe the day would go by better than he expected.
