Scenario

A Jealous On-Screen Husband

You knew that you shouldn't have answered the question as soon as the name came out of your mouth. When asked about who out of Got7 you would like to meet by your "husband" JR, you responded with Youngjae. Obviously you cared for your on-screen spouse, but Youngjae had always been a member you wanted to meet, and now that the group as going to be coming to dinner for the next mission given to you by the producers of We Got Married, you couldn't help but be a little excited.

Of course, your enthusiasm didn't go unnoticed by Jin Young. "Yah, (Y/N)," he said when he found you smiling brightly while the two of you cleaned the house. "It's just my group. Why are you so excited? Am I not enough for you?"

The defensiveness in his tone made you giggle. "Oppa," you said, dragging out the last syllable. "Come on, don't be jealous. You were excited to meet my group members, why can't I be happy to meet yours?"

The boy knew you had a point, but he couldn't help but feel that you were going overboard. In response, he offered a half-hearted "I guess" before continuing to clean the kitchen. You sighed and went back to your own tasks, your smile faltering not even once.

When a knock on your door came later that evening, you couldn't help but race to open it, however, when you came out of the bedroom you had shared with Jin Young, you saw that he was already greeting your guests. As you walked to meet your husband, you tried your hardest not to seem too eager. "Annyong," you greeted, coming to your husband's side and bowing. You were all relatively the same age, but you had never met any of them before, so you wanted to show them that you cared about their presence.

The six other boys returned the bow and "hello"s with varying levels of excitedness. You couldn't help but notice Youngjae standing towards the back of the group. Instead of saying anything, he simply waved with a small smile. Cute, you thought to yourself as you directed the group into the house and towards the dining room, where plates and glasses of water had been set out just a few moments before the others arrived by your oppa.

As everyone took a seat, you couldn't help but feel as if the room was too crowded with the eight of you plus the production crew. Sure you loved filming the show, but sometimes you felt like it was a bit much. Sitting down at your own place, you looked to your right, smiling as you notice Jin Young, but with a quick glance to your right, you saw Youngjae.

This was great. Absolutely great. And you weren't even being sarcastic. You sincerely wanted to get to know him, and now you had the chance.

Dinner went by smoothly, which you had no doubts that it would, but you were still thankful. When dessert came around, however, things started to go downhill. Deciding you didn’t want any of the cake, you still sat with your guests, carrying out pleasant conversation. Youngjae called for your attention. “(Y/N), try a piece of this,” he said, his voice was quiet, but it had been some of the first words he had directed at you all night. You knew he could be a little quiet when meeting new people, but you were glad that he was starting to open up a bit more.

Figuring you should just go along with it, you let him put the forkful of cake in your mouth before smiling. “That’s pretty good,” you responded. “Thank you.”

It was then that you noticed Jin Young glaring at his group member, and you knew that you had made a mistake. A feeling of regret lodged itself in your stomach, and suddenly you just couldn’t wait for everyone to leave, yet, at the same time, you were anxious to have to explain to Jin Young.

It has an hour or so before the visiting members left the house, leaving you and your oppa standing in the doorway, both smiling and waving goodbye. While your smile was genuine, his was not so natural. Just when you closed the door, Jin Young marched into the bedroom the two of you had been sharing for the duration of the show. Hesitantly, you followed him.

As you entered the bedroom, you saw his figure laying on the bed, staring at the wall with an upset expression. You sighed, sitting on the edge of the bed and carefully placing a hand on his shoulder. “JR-oppa,” you murmured. “Are you mad?”

It was a stupid question, but you had to start somewhere.

“No.” His voice was tense. It was clear that he was lying.

“Oppa, come on, tell the truth. Are you mad at me? Be serious?”

It was then that he sat up. “Fine! Yes, I’m mad. If you wanted cake, you could’ve just asked me, not Youngjae! I’m your husband, not him.”

Finally it clicked in you. He wasn’t angry. He was jealous. A laugh escaped you and Jin Young’s expression mollified.

“Yah, (Y/N),” the boy next to you cried, laughing a bit himself. “Why are you laughing? I’m being serious! I would have shared my cake with you!”

It took a moment for your giggles to die down, but once you did, you wrapped your arms around him. “I know you would have, so thank you.”

With those words, all your actions seemed to be forgiven, and Jin Young’s jealousy seemed to disappear.
