Words of the West Wind

Words of the East Wind

I had a very normal lifestyle.

My family was what they called “perfect”.

My father, mother, older sister, and I.

      We never fought.

No one ever did.

But none of us ever suspected a thing.

      Until he came.

Now I must inform you, I had friends, certainly.

But they never understood me.

      Not like he did.

He… he was a miracle in itself.

He was… absolutely gorgeous.

      Beautiful.

Chocolate eyes and ebony hair.

Ivory skin and sparkling laughter.

      He was Kim Ryeowook.

He was my best friend.

He was my savior.

It was him who first showed me the world.

Before Asia split, before America became New Europe.

Before Russia declared itself a continent.

It was he who brought me the ocean.

Pearl sapphire blue.

Free and vast.

It was he who taught me the old ways.

Back when there was violence.

Back when there were wars.

      We fought.

We disagreed on too much.

But that, I learned, is how you care.

      It became his downfall.

It would have been ours.

But for my cowardice.

      We grew bold.

One night, we snuck out.

We were caught by the Troopers.

I tried to pull him away.

He refused, and stood his ground.

I ran home, and that was the last I ever saw him.

      Facing against the white-clad officials.

Aura of determination around him.

Bravely, courageously, stupidly.

      Yet I was worse.

I abandoned him.

Him my savior.

He who had given me nothing and yet everything.

I left him behind.

To die.

      Alone.

I was told he put up a marvelous fight.

But was overpowered in the end.

No time for any last words.

Beautiful eyes, flashing…

Clear voice, screaming…

      And they had praised me.

For running away.

For betraying my friend.

I am crying as I dictate this.

Tears running down my face.

Sobbing to the ocean.

      Telling this to the world.

The wind will take this far away.

Somewhere free.

      Gone with the wind.

Let it be.

The words of the east wind.

      All and forever yours,

Cho Kyuhyun.

Chapter 1: This broke my heart T_T I am a bit confused at the context (Starwars? IDK) but the emotions are killing me! The way you write is like a poem and just so complex. I really like your stories a lot as I can clearly see your own personal writing style. It would be really sad if you left your best friend in times of need, but we are human... Thank you soooooo much for writing this!!
