it was in this order that a little group called bangtan came to be; with jeon jungkook joining last, very, very briefly before they were set apart. it was in this order that seokjin ruined their lives-- of course, he'd been the first. there was a lot to each and every one of their stories. seokjin's started with his father. taehyung's started with the father of his best friend, and then his own family. jimin's started with an orphanage. namjoon's started with his father as well, and a huge push for money. yoongi's had started on the run. hoseok's had started when he was left alone outside and was pushed face-first into a car that drove way too fast away from his home.

but it was the story of kim taehyung and jeon jungkook that stuck with seokjin the most. it was their connection-- the way their stories had begun together, the way their families had gone wrong together, they way they stayed connected through hard times, the way taehyung never let jungkook fall victim to this kind of life. seokjin found himself wishing, looking back on all that had happened, on all he had done and all he had caused, that he'd grown up the way taehyung had, that he'd had someone to got through this with him-- bad as it was. he might not be so cruel.
