"I think we should breakup." He held my hand lightly, as if I could break at any moment. I tried to search his eyes for any signs of anger, disappointment, anything. But I could find none of those as he closed his eyes, looking more tired and beat than I have ever seen him. 

"...What?" I croaked out, already feeling my throat swelling up in anguish. Tears were threatening to fall as I tried to tighten my grip on his hand. Had I done something wrong? I frantically racked my brain, trying to find any moment where I had done something wrong. "Did I do anything wrong, Yoongi? Please tell me if I did. I'm sorry, I swear I- "

"No, no, no, it's just-" He sighed in frustration as he finally looked me in the eyes. He cupped my face, his other hand now gripping mine tightly, "...I don't want to hurt you," He murmured quietly, eyes never leaving mine. He swiped his thumb across my cheek, wiping a tear that I had failed to realize had fallen. 

Hurt me? "I don't understa-" He shushed me with a light peck on the lips. I felt butterlfies fly in my stomach, the same ones that I had felt when we shared our first kiss. Before I could lean in any further, he quickly let go, hands pushing my shoulders away from him.

"Don't. I can't... I can't do this anymore. It's over." I watched as his hands slid off my shoulder, his eyes searching my face one last time before turning around and leaving through the open door.

I felt cold. Very cold. A sudden pang of despair hit me as I realized what just happened. I fell to my knees, quiet sobs escaping my lips, knowing full well they would never make contact with his ever again. 

"Yoongi," I sobbed, wrapping my arms around me. Why was it so cold? "...Don't go."

ok so after playing bts' album like 472964 times, I still get pretty emotional at the outro lol which sorta inspired this fic (key word sorta cuz there were other songs involved in the process). This is my first time writing a story on AFF so hopefully this won't turn out too ty :> Each chapter will be named after a song that inspired it so feel free to listen to it (or not, I don't want to force you or anything). Although I'm Taehyung-biased (and also secretly stan Jimin), I felt like Yoongi would fit this story more cuz man he's so deep
