This is practically the fourth time that Jiwon has glanced at a certain classmate and caught the other girl staring at her. Each and every time that this occurs, the younger girl sends a small, knowing smile her way. An annoyed Jiwon lowers her head and returns her attention to the open textbook on her desk. Why is Son Chaeyoung staring at her with that smug look on her face? Jiwon exerts her utmost efforts into ignoring Chaeyoung, but it doesn't help that she can see the other girl from the corner of her eye, constantly staring.

"Choose a partner and sit with them. You'll be filling out the worksheets together." The teacher announces dully from the front of the classroom.

Upon the teacher's instructions, several of the students rise from their seats and weave about the room, seeking their friends. Jiwon raises an arm and gestures for her own friend, Chaeryoung, to sit beside her. From the other side of the classroom, Chaeryoung nods and quickly gathers her things to relocate. However, just as Chaeryoung begins to make her way toward the empty seat next to Jiwon, someone else suddenly appears and plops down in her designated seat.

Jiwon frowns at Chaeyoung, who has sat down and made herself comfortable in her new seat - as if she were meant to be there in the first place. "I'm saving this seat for someone." Jiwon tells her with a firm tone. First the incessant staring, and now the seat-stealing. Jiwon is certain that Chaeyoung is deliberately trying to get on her nerves.

"Who?" Chaeyoung asks, resting her chin on the palm of her hand.

"My friend - " Jiwon turns around to point out Chaeryoung, but she finds that her friend has already given up on sitting beside her and has sat herself next to one of her other friends in the class, Eunsuh, instead. Chaeryoung notices Jiwon's gaping expression and sends her an apologetic smile.

With an inaudible groan, Jiwon faces Chaeyoung again to see the younger girl smirking at her. "Well, since we're sitting next to each other, I guess that makes us partners. Let's try to get along and finish this quickly."

Surprisingly enough, Chaeyoung proves herself to be quite useful and (Jiwon reluctantly admits) intelligent. Thus, the two of them are one of the first pairs to complete the assignment, and they have no choice but to wait until the rest of their class finishes as well. Chaeyoung takes up the opportunity to strike up a conversation in the meantime, much to Jiwon's dismay.

"I've been hearing some interesting things lately."

"Good for you." Jiwon curtly replies. Chaeyoung lets out a low giggle that instantly puts a scowl on the shorter girl's face. "What is it now?"

"I heard that you like me."
