Daehyun was sitting on the edge of the small orange bed as he looked at his daughter, her chest rise and down as she sleeps peacefully covered by the blanket. He didn’t deny her even though he didn’t want any kids with his now ex-wife. Yes, he divorced that monster, um I mean evil woman, when Jinhee e. Fortunately for him, he won the custody from her, that woman didn’t even care because Jinhee is a girl, their family only wants a son for their heir.

            Jinhee was still a little and she already got no mother beside her, Daehyun stared at the little girl as he caressed her cheek. Jinhee shifted a little as she slowly opened her eyes, the father smiled softly to her.

“Good morning darling,” he lifted her up and planted kisses all-over her face, making the three years old girl giggled in delight.

“Good morning too, daddy!” she pecked his cheek and hugged his neck.

“Let’s have a breakfast,” he tickled her side making Jinhee laughed out loud while hitting on her father, trying to stop him from tickling her. Daehyun just laughed and soon stopped tickling her, “my princess is so playful early in the morning.”

The three years old girl pointed at the door, “dad,” the man turned around as he saw his sister stood by the door, smiling softly at the sight of the father and daughter.

“Yo, good morning,” she put her hand up to greet them and walked over to take Jinhee from her brother. “Let’s go down, mother and father are downstairs,” she informed before walking out of the room with her niece in her arms.

Daehyun heaved a sigh as he shut the door to his daughter’s room closed and went down with his sister. There his parents are, sitting leisurely on the dining table as they enjoyed the breakfast.

Younghee put the baby chair in between Daehyun’s and her chair, so Jinhee can sit between them. “How’s your sleep, Daehyun?” Mrs. Jung asked as she put a bowl of soup in front of him. Daehyun just murmured a ‘fine’ as he put a bib around his daughter’s neck.

“Who wants to eat pancakes?” Younghee asked her niece as the little girl put up her hands in joy, “me!” Jinhee excitedly answered as she giggled in delight.

Daehyun poured the maple syrup on top of her pancakes then patted Jinhee’s head before he eats his own breakfast while sometimes looking after his daughter too. “Daddy,” the little girl called him, making the man turned to her immediately. Jinhee lifted up a small piece of her pancake with fork as she smiled sweetly, “say ah!”

Daehyun chuckled before opening his mouth as his daughter put the pancake in his mouth, “thank you darling,” he ruffled her hair before munching on the soft spongy food in his mouth.

After a good peaceful breakfast, Daehyun told his sister to bring Jinhee up to her room and play there while he talks to their parents. “So, what brought you two here? It’s the first time you came,” he started the conversation.

Both his parents looked ashamed as they looked down, “We’re really sorry, Daehyun,” his father started up, “we’re sorry for separating you and Jiyoung, we’re sorry for making your life miserable, we’re sorry…to marry you with—“

"Don’t say her name…please.” He really hates her, even hearing her name make him mad.

His mother got up from her seat and walked over to his side. She enveloped her son in her arms, “I’m sorry, I’m so sorry Daehyun-ah. It’s all my fault…” Daehyun can feel wetness on his head, he knew his mother was crying, her hug tighten too as a small sobs escaped her lips.

The man just patted his mother’s back, “I’m not holding grudges, mom. Let the past be the past,” he smiled as he released the hug. He reached out his hand to wipe his mother’s tears, “Please don’t cry.” Mr. Jung too joined in as he spread his arms wide and hugged the two important persons in his life.

Daehyun remembered how hard things for him at first, he had no experience in raising a baby. He held the crying Jinhee in his arms as he shushed her, sometimes singing a few lines of his own song to make her sleep, but there was no avail. He tried to feed her formula too, but she wasn’t hungry. Until he smelled something and gripped on her diaper by then he realized that he must change the dirty diaper right away.

It was hard at first, raising a baby without her mother around, but Daehyun felt relief that actually that ‘woman’ didn’t show up again after she gave birth to Jinhee. Maybe that was how Jiyoung felt when he was gone, relief. He’s coping up fast with the whole new experience, from waking up in the middle of the night until bringing his daughter to the hospital to get some check-ups. It wasn’t that hard anymore when Younghee helped him a lot when she turned 15, she helped him playing with Jinhee or even sometimes feeding her milks and foods. The hyungs too, visited them a lot to play with Jinhee. Youngjae said that Jinhee is so cute that she appeared in his dreams a lot.

“She is so clever, you’re good at teaching things,” Mrs. Jung commented as the whole family watched Jinhee tidy up all of her toys into one wooden box at the corner of the room.

Daehyun watched as his princess closed the box and ran straight to him with a cute giggles. The man lifted her up and put her on his laps, “Jinhee-ah,” he called her name softly, making the little girl looked up to him.

"Yes daddy?”

He then looked at his parents whom sat in front of them, “Do you know who they are? Daddy showed their pictures to you before.” 

Jinhee nodded as she looked at the two persons in front of them, “Grandma and grandpa?” 

“Correct!” he kissed her cheek before he ushered her
