Youngjae's Diary
Description
Youngjae doesn't want to be a part of Got7 anymore, and Mark asks him to write a diary for a month and reread his entries before he makes his final decision.
Foreword
“Life is never boring, Youngjae.” Mark argued, his voice still calm although his eyes were alit with a fierce intensity.
“I don’t know, hyung.” Youngjae did not dare to meet his eyes, lowering his gaze to the ground as he scratched his neck out of discomfort. “I just feel like… there isn’t anything for me anymore. I’m not being ungrateful, it’s just that I’m repeating the same thing over and over and over again… and it gets so predictable that all it does is tire me.”
Mark frowned, the crease between his eyebrows growing more noticeable as each sentence flowed out of Youngjae’s mouth. What his dongsaeng needed was not an hour or two of nagging at, or even a lecture on Mark’s perspectives of life (which was why Youngjae approached Mark for advice, rather than Jaebum or Jackson). Youngjae lacked conviction.
“Look, I think you should just take the next month or two to mull over it. Don’t make any rash decisions yet, because as far as I can tell, you’re not one hundred percent sure that you don’t want this life anymore. You’re unsure – so sort out your thoughts before coming to any conclusions.” Mark pulled a small moleskin notebook out of his bag, and handed it over to Youngjae, who accepted it with a confused expression on his face. “It’s new, and I haven’t used it yet, but pen down something every day, and look back on the pages after one month. You’ll find the answer you’re looking for now when you read your own thoughts.”
Youngjae made a face at his hyung. “You want me to write a diary?”
Mark rolled his eyes. “What’s the most beautiful thing in the world?”
“Eyeliner?”
“No, you idiot.” Mark sighed. “Language. Find a new word and write it in every day, and write something that happened during that day.”
“So basically, I’ll be making a dictionary.” Youngjae balked.
Mark shrugged. “Considering how you lost some meaning in your life, I’d say that it’s a good time to get it back.”
Youngjae watched the retreating back of Mark as the older boy exited the room, leaving him alone with his thoughts and the notepad in his hand.
I have nothing to lose. Might as well try whatever Mark said before I choose whether or not to leave the entertainment industry for good, I guess.

I've wanted to write a Youngjae story for so long, but I felt like I would be too stressed from school and my other incomplete Jackson story (which I decided not to update until I've written a satisfactory chapter sigh). So anyway, this will be a short story from Youngjae's perspective, I hope you enjoy it!
