Summary : Had know each other for years can’t be a guarantee that the relationship will last long, so how about relationship that start from just an accidentaly bumping each other at street. Will that kind of relationship ended in short time or not?

"Ah, I'm bored Yesung hyung." said Sungmin in the middle of their daydreaming activity. Lying in grass field and pointing at the cloud in blue sky, imagining their shape.

"Wae? This fun you know. Look, that cloud look like a turtle." the older boy pointing at a turtle shape cloud.

“I know. I mean, we almost graduating from high school but we haven’t any boyfriend yet. I just want to know, what if we become a couple, hyung. What do you think?” said Sungmin slowly, staring at Yesung who still focused his attention to the cloud at the sky.

“That’s good idea. At least we won’t pass our high school with status as single.” he tilted his head facing Sungmin and smiling sweetly.

“So, are you agreed?” asked Sungmin.

“Yes. But Min, what if one day we meet someone that we think more suitable with us, will we break up?”

Sungmin fell in silence for a moment to think about the wisest answer, “Maybe you can pursuit your love. We can break up without broken heart, because we do this relationship only based of curiosity. So, no love involved,okay?”

“Okay.” answered Yesung and he pecked Sungmin’s lips as seal that they now became a couple or a curious couple for more specific.

Years passed quickly, now they entering college still as a couple. Yesung is good boyfriend in Sungmin opinion, slowly, their agreement slightly changed to be a serious one in Sungmin side. He indeed fell in love to Yesung until he afraid if one day Yesung found his soulmate, maybe broken heart will leaving a nasty scar in his heart, but he try to get rid of his feeling and keep chanting best friend inside his head for keeping away his jealousy. He knew Yesung always try to be a nice boyfriend and that’s enough to make Sungmin happy, until he thinks, no one can be as good as Yesung.

As old rules say, happiness never last long. One day in end of their sophomore years, homeroom teacher asked both of them to giving a performance at college end year festival. Maybe, just maybe if Sungmin has an ability to predict future, he will refuse his teacher request, so he can make Yesung stay beside him.

They preparing their duet and doing collaboration with a petite guy from music and vocal club named Ryeowook. Sungmin realizes, there something different in Yesung’s eyes, everytime he staring at him. His eyes always glistening in happiness and…love? Sungmin never dare to naming any expression in Yesung’s face, if only make his jealousy eating him alive. They agreed to singing a song which title is now we got to meet and Ryeowook will playing the piano.

The day finally comes.

They ended their song perfectly and earning standing applause from the audience, but Sungmin doesn’t feel happy at all. When they singing, Yesung kept glancing at Ryeowook direction and sometimes giving back his attention to Sungmin when the chorused part came. Sungmin sighed when he entering dressing room. “Sooner or later it’ll end.” Sungmin thought bitterly when take his stuff and ready to leave.

His head bowed down. He walks slowly without caring, to where his feet will take his steps. He just wants to walk away as far as possible. He turning at a corner and someone colliding with him, make him fall backward. “Oh, I’m sorry.” That man gives his lanky hand and helping Sungmin to stand up. “I’m so sorry, I’m too busy with my game until I’m not seeing to where I go.” he smiled sheepishly and makes Sungmin smiling in return.

“That’s okay. I’m fine.” he said softly as he took a quick observation of the person in front of him. He’s taller than him with thick glasses and nerdy look but that can’t hiding his handsome face.

“My name is Kyuhyun. Cho Kyuhyun.” He stretched his hand for a handshake and Sungmin gladly accepted “Sungmin.” Nothing special after their first meeting. No exchanging phone number nor address, they only exchanging names and they continuing their live as if they never met before.

A month has passed. Sungmin feels nothing has change in his relationship with Yesung, they still like before. He kept reminding himself, eventually they will break up and he must accept that without heartbroken, but every time he reminding himself like that, his heart will clench in hurt. “I’m strong..I’m strong…Yesung hyung still my boyfriend and my best friend.” he chanting that word in small voice not aware that someone heard his chanted.

A month has passed. Sungmin thought nothing has change in his relationship with Yesung, they still like before. “Hey, if you talk alone like that, the other people will think you’re weirdo.” A voice makes Sungmin startled and he turns his head to the voice source. Sungmin saw a familiar face but he can’t put a finger where or when he see that face.

“You..?” Sungmin asked with confused look.

“I’m Kyuhyun. The guy who accidentally collided with you last month.” Kyuhyun smiled when he tell Sungmin.

“Ah, I remember now. Kyuhyun, how are you?” asked Sungmin.

“I’m fine. How about yourself? I can tell from your face that you had a problem right now.”

Sungmin smiled bitterly, how can a guy who merely just a stranger, could reading his expression better than his boyfriend. “No, nothing. I’m fine.” Sungmin said with a fake smile.

“Do you want to talk that with me? Come on, maybe that can make the burden in your heart dissapear. Talking with a stranger can be your helper, you know.”

Sungmin was contemplating with himself. Kyuhyun was right, he just a stranger and unharmed one, so nothing wrong with it.

“That’s ridiculous.” was a statement that escaped from Kyuhyun lips after Sungmin finished his story.

“Yeah, that’s ridiculous but now I’m afraid I can’t let Yesung hyung go easily as my promise.” Sungmin eyes slight gloomy when he mention Yesung’s name.

“You love him don’t you?” asked Kyuhyun.

“I don’t know. I can’t distinguish what I feel now is love or not or just because I have been accustomed of his presence in my life.” Sungmin burying his face in his palm, try to calming his heart.

Suddenly his phone ringing, “Yoboseyo. Oh, Yesung hyung. Ne, I’ll be there now.” he closed his phone and stand up. “Good bye, Kyuhyun. Thank you so much. See you later.” Sungmin squeeze Kyuhyun’s hand lightly and walk away, without notice sadness in Kyuhyun eyes.

Sungmin’s fear become reality when one day he came back to his shared apartment and he saw Yesung kissing the guy from music and vocal club at couch. He covers his mouth with his palm to preventing his sob but tears still flowing freely in his cheek. Sungmin run away. He didn’t know how long or how far he had run. His leg aching but his heart hurt more. He slumped at bench and crying, let out all of his pent up emotion. He feels hurt and hate in his heart. He swore, he won’t let love blooming again in his heart.

That night he was packing all of his stuff ready to leaving Yesung and all of their memories.

“Where will you go, Sungmin?” asked him.

“Let’s end this, hyung. I know you had found your true love and he isn’t me.” Sungmin dragging his suitcase, leaving stunned Yesung behind.

“Mianhae, Sungmin” that’s the last word Sungmin’s heard because that night he decided to take his friend offer. Leaving Korea and work at theater in America.

Kyuhyun know Sungmin leave after he heard one of his classmates talking about a sophomore boy who get opportunity become theater artist in America and his name is Lee Sungmin. Kyuhyun can feel his legs wobble as if earthquake chooses to attack him. He was gripping the wall for support and a lone tear escape from his eyes. He understands, he cries because he falling in love with Sungmin and maybe he won’t meet him forever.

2 Years later at theater building in Seoul

“Sungmin, this is list of new artist who participate at audition.” A blond man put a stack of paper at Sungmin’s desk.

“Thanks’ Hyukkie.”Sungmin take the paper and start to read the profile of new artist one by one until he read one name.  “Cho Kyuhyun” Sungmin murmured softly. A name that magically has occupied his mind from the first time they talking but Sungmin always shrugged it off; he still too scared to let love blooming again. Sungmin never forgetting his face, his sheepish smile, his voice even the way he rub his eyes. That’s the reason why Sungmin choose to leaving America and come back to Seoul. He wishes he could meet him again although he knows; his wish only will stay as reverie. “Nah, it must be the other Cho Kyuhyun. How can a boy with thick glasses and nerdy outfit have interest at theater?”

Unfortunately, Sungmin was wrong, completely wrong. He was indeed Cho Kyuhyun that he know, except without thick glasses and nerdy outfits. He performs at stage. Acting and singing. Sungmin felt himself like drowning inside his voice and he can’t hide his happiness until his friend notice that.

“Do you know him?” asked him.

Sungmin smiled “He’s...” his word trailed off, he didn’t know what kind of relationship he and Kyuhyun have. Friend? They just were talking once. Stranger?, but they know name each other and talking, although only once.

“Never mind. I think Heechul hyung has made his decision.”

Sungmin saw the theater leader stand up with bright smile, “Congratulation Cho Kyuhyun. You officially become a part of this theater” All of the people claps their hand but Kyuhyun’s eyes only fixed to one person. “Sungmin, I found you...” Kyuhyun whispered softly.

They gradually start to closer with each other but Sungmin still hesitant for opening his heart although Kyuhyun promised him for never hurt him. 3 months passed rather quickly, and now Sungmin is sure maybe Kyuhyun is true love that he looking for.

They sit at bench and watching the leaf fall one by one. Sungmin’s head at Kyuhyun’s shoulder and their hand clasped together, shared heat. Suddenly Kyuhyun hummed a song. Sungmin remembering the song. The song, which become witness of his tears and sadness. His hatred and disappointment.

“That’s used to be me and my best friend’s song.” Sungmin said casually.

“So you don’t like if me singing that song?”

“No, I like it when you singing that song picturing our situation perfectly. I’m happy now we got to meet. I love you Mr. Nerdy.”

“I love you Mr. Bunny.”

Kyuhyun kissed his lips and hugged his small body. “Let’s we make our song, Minnie.” Kyuhyun whispered and Sungmin tightened his hug.

A promise of happy ending has spoken.
