Our positions changed as his hands grabbed my waist and flipped us over. I couldn’t help but feel an immense amount of guilt as I looked up into his teary eyes. If I had caused the youngest this much pain…how are the others holding up?

Right before Sehun was about to take off his shirt, a series of knocks against the door made him pause. Sehun sighed before bending down and leaning his forehead against Jangmi’s.  She gave him a small smile before placing a chaste kiss on his forehead.
“What is it?” Sehun asked in a low voice, upset that his time with Jangmi was interrupted.
The door creaked open before a pale face poked through. Jangmi smiled at the intruder and quickly sat up and adjusted her position so Sehun’s head lay on her lap. “God, Jangmi. Please be more careful next time, we were worried sick.” Kris spoke in a stern yet loving voice as he took three large strides toward the bed. Sehun silently moved so that he wasn’t in the way. Although Kris would never hurt her, Sehun knew better than to step in between Kris and someone else, especially if the reason why he was upset involved Jangmi or in this case, Jangmi’s safety. “Sorry, Yifan…” Jangmi whispered as she lowered her head. Kris couldn’t help but smile lovingly as he watched Jangmi fiddle with the longs sleeves of one of his shirts that she was wearing. Not a second later did Jangmi find herself sandwiched between two of the tallest members but she wasn’t complaining. “You’re such an idiot, Beautiful. I’m not mad at you. Just do me-no, do all of us a favor and don’t do anything that rash again. You could’ve gotten seriously hurt.” Kris lightly reprimanded. Jangmi nodded her head slowly before turning and digging her face into her pillow. “I’m going to have to repeat this process 10 more times, aren’t I?” Jangmi asked with a muffled groan. Sehun and Kris both looked at each other and in a silent exchange, Sehun quietly left the room, not before giving a final kiss on Jangmi’s forehead. Jangmi, still with her face dug deep into a pillow, felt the bed dip on her side before she felt her hair being brushed aside. Knowing not to move, she felt feather-like touches that started from her shoulder and trailed to her bare neck. Jangmi shivered at the sensations that Kris was causing her body to experience. Although he may seem rigid and tough on the outside, Kris was one of the more gentle lovers in the group. Not a second later, Jangmi found her body lying on top of Kris’ as he laid down on the soft bed. “Sleep, Beautiful. We won’t tell anyone else you’re awake for now until you’ve regained your strength.” Kris said before wrapping one of his hands around her tiny waist. Jangmi smiled before winding both her arms around Kris’ wide torso before laying her head on his broad chest. “Thank you, Yifan.” She said in a soft voice that could barely be heard before she closed her eyes and let sleep take over her body.
Minutes later, Kris was still wide awake and stared down at the beauty that was Lee Jangmi. He continued to trail his eyes over her soft yet unique features as his hand lightly tightened his grip around her waist.
Kris still remembered the day he met her like it happened yesterday.

The day was like any other normal school day. Class had just started and Kris, Baekhyun, Chanyeol, Tao, Kai, and Sehun were all late…again. Don’t worry, this wasn’t an unusual occurrence that happened for the 1 senior and 5 juniors. The rest of their group, Xiumin, Luhan, Suho, Lay, Chen, and D.O., were the ones who actually went to class on time. Although all twelve of them were vigorously educated at a very young age, their parents all thought it would be best for them to go to a school, nonetheless a prestigious private school, to help them interact with other teenagers. The bell had just rung and still sitting on the rooftop of the school, a few boys were lounging around but one particularly was simply sitting and observing. Kris smiled as he watched Tao practice his wushu while Kai and Sehun were laughing and fooling around with each other. Baekhyun and Chanyeol had just said their goodbyes as they were going to get breakfast across the street. After some time passed, Kai and Sehun thought it was best to head to class now before they received any more detention slips. Waving goodbye to the two Chinese twin towers, Kai and Sehun left. Tao sighed loudly before dropping on the ground next to Kris. “What’s on your mind, Duizhang?” Tao asked in their native tongue. Kris thought about what was on his mind and simply replied, “Nothing, Zitao. Nothing is on my mind.” Tao furrowed his eyebrows at Kris before asking, “Is that a good thing or bad?” Kris smirked before laying down on the ground and closing his eyes, “Can’t say. We’ll see.” Kris heard a soft ‘tsk’ before he felt Tao stand up. “Well, I don’t know about you but if I miss another minute of Literature, Mr. Choi might murder me. I’ll see you at lunch, Duizhang.” Kris hummed in response before placing an arm over his eyes to shield them from the blinding sun that was above him. What really was on his mind? Kris thought to himself. There was nothing significantly bad going on in his life, but there was nothing incredible going on either. Still in his thoughts, Kris didn’t notice the door to the roof open and close until he heard soft footsteps coming towards him. He bolted up quickly from his position and hid himself behind an electrical box before the intruder could see him. The roof was pretty spacious and had lots of places to duck and cover so there was no way that the person would be able to se-“Excuse me?” Kris’s eyes widened before he held his breath in hopes that he or she wouldn’t hear him. However, his plan was ruined when the said person spoke, “I can see the tips of your shoes poking out.” Kris’s eyebrows furrowed as he noticed the soft voice belonged to a female. Filled with curiosity, Kris slowly stepped out around the corner to identify the owner of the faint voice that found him. Maybe if he wasn’t too busy ogling at the stranger’s face, Kris would have noticed that the moment they made eye contact, her entire posture stiffened. The first thing he noticed was that she wasn’t wearing a uniform. Suddenly alarmed that the stranger in front of him was not a student, Kris’ entire body position changed as he went from crouching to standing tall and peering down at the petite figure in front of him. “Who the hell are you?” Kris spoke in a tight voice. By now he had noticed that the girl in front of him was frozen in her spot and appeared to be no older than a senior. “My name is Lee Jangmi...” she stuttered before gripping the ends of her sweatshirt. Kris whispered the name once more before realizing that this must be the new student that everyone was talking about. “You’re the new kid that everyone is fussing over?” Kris asked in a not impolite tone. The girl huffed before she narrowed her eyes at him, “I’m not a kid. I’m in the same grade as you.” Kris’ eyebrows furrowed once more before asking, “How do you know what grade I’m in?” Before she could answer, the school bell that indicated the end of 1^st period rung and Jangmi’s eyes widened. “Sorry, I got to go. See you later…kid.” She said as she quickly ran to the door, not before turning around and flashing a smirk to Kris.
Kris had stood in the same spot next to the electrical box for another minute before realizing what the girl said to him. *Did she just call me a kid?!* A smug look came across his face before he whispered to himself, “Lee Jangmi, huh?”
Kris was sitting in his 4^th period class with Jongin and Tao when there was a knock at the door. Ms. Zhou, their calculus teacher, walked and opened the door before speaking softly with a person that was hidden from the classroom’s view. She walked back over to the front of the class and spoke, “Class, we have a new student. Treat her with respect as she will treat you the same.” Not a second later, in walked a girl with her uniform in mid-condition without a crease or stain in sight. She had long midnight black hair that waved near the ends, creating a luscious flow that cascaded down her back. She had a calm expression on her face but when you looked into her eyes, you could tell this was an exciting girl. She placed her hands in an elegant grasp in front of her torso before bowing, “Hello. My name is Lee Jangmi. Hope we get along well.” She said this while looking over the students before her eyes landed on Kris. Her eyes widened only a bit before she gave him a small grin. The class erupted with claps and hoots, mostly coming from the male population as they openly stared at their new classmate while the girls showed either indifference or welcomed her with small smiles. Her seat was shown to her by Ms. Zhou as she began to continue on with her lesson. She just so happened to be seatmates with Jongin but he didn’t seem to notice as he was too busy sleeping on top of his folded arms. Kris inspected her from behind as his table was two behind hers and Jongin’s. He noticed that all of her stuff was impeccably organized and not a single thing was out of place. She folded her hands on top of her desk and gave her full attention to whatever the heck Ms. Zhou was teaching. “Duizhang? Why are you staring at the new girl like that?” Tao whispered to his seatmate. “No reason, ZiTao…” Kris whispered more to himself than to Tao.

Kris had remembered that day more than any other. He remembered all the emotions he felt as he met Jangmi. Looking down once more, he couldn’t help but admire how a person could be so beautiful inside and out. “We’ll protect you, Beautiful. Whatever it takes.” He whispered before pulling her closer into his embrace and drifting into sleep.
