the signal
The Red ShoesFirst of all I want to apologize for yet again losing the flow. Apparently I'm not good in finishing what I started, but I try to discipline myself making SHINee members my role models. I deeply admire them for their hard work and I've immensely enjoyed their repackage and performances. I hope I'll be able to see them live again soon.
So if you're still interested I'll be grateful for reading, comments and everything else. I'll try to work harder :)

“You’re in a relationship with that boy?” Song asks the woman perplexed.
I’m surprised how little the police-officer seems to know about idols and their fans.
“No, I mean ... no, of course not. It’s just that I ... I’m in love with him ever since Sherlock ...”
Song still looks puzzled so Minho quickly explains:
“She’s a fan, a Shawol ...”
“I’m a Taemint”, the wife adds, blushing.
“So you’re not in a relationship with the boy?”
“Of course not”, Jjong snaps, “he doesn’t even know she exists.”
This hits her hard although it is certainly true. But it doesn’t matter anyway we’ve got lives on the line.
“I don’t get it”, Song continues, “you’re a fan of that dancer and that makes your husband blow up a stadium?”
The woman starts crying. It’s probably dawning on her what an incredible mess she caused.
“He doesn’t understand”, she says, “I just want to hear Taemin singing and watch him dancing ...”
“Well you might not ever get the chance again”, Song cruelly replies, “your husband is determined to kill him.”
“No”, she says, her eyes going wide in disbelief. And then she screams “NOOOOO! NO, NO, NO.”
I think she’s going hysteric. She grabs the microphone again and desperately shouts:
“NO, NO, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, LET HIM GO. PLEASE LET HIM GO. I’LL DO WHATEVER YOU WANT, I PROMISE! I’LL BE A GOOD WIFE, I’LL ....”
“JUST SHUT UP, !” The guy is furious now, “SHUT THE UP AND LEAVE. IT’S TOO LATE NOW.”
I can’t say for sure but I believe there’s another bomb going off inside the stadium.
“You’re not helping”, Song tells the woman off and shoves her away. I feel sorry for her but at the same time I’m angry. Of course it’s her husband who is threatening lives here and already got people injured, but how could she not see what was going on right in front of her?
On the screen we see the bomb-squad leader still examining Taemin’s shoes while our Maknae lies in Kibum’s arms. Key is trying to comfort him apparently but we can’t hear what he’s saying.
Suddenly the young technician calls Song over to his make-shift radar-station:
“I got the signal”, he says and we all gather around. I’m not really listening to the details, but there are a number of dots on the monitor he installed, one of which he points out.
“That’s him”, he tells us, “that’s your guy.”
“But where is this?” Song asks back.
“About 500m north from where we are”, Park Won-Bin explains, “that’s on the other side of the stadium, possibly inside. We can track the signal with this device.”
He hands Song something that looks like an old-fashioned mobile. There is a pulsing red dot on the display.
“The faster it blinks the nearer you are,” he tells Song.
“And you’re sure, it’s him?” Song doesn’t look convinced.
“It’s the only clear camera-signal I get. Should be him, don’t you think?”
Song nods. Then he calls a couple of his people to get ready and they head towards the other side of the stadium. I’m tempted to follow but I know I can’t do anything and clumsy as I am I’ll probably only get in the way.
The music has long since stopped. Apparently the bomber realized there won’t be any more dancing going on. I wonder how much time we have left until one of the bombs that certainly are still going off inside the stadium will cause the entire building to collapse.
Is it really the shoes?
My arm hurts and I only now realize that Jjong has it in a death-grip. He stares at the screen, clenching his teeth. Minho has his arm around his Hyung’s shoulders. He looks calm but I know he’s just as tense as we are. And we can’t do anything.
