“LOVE LIVE THE WEEKEND!” My friends hollered as I closed the door and climbed into the jeep.

I cringed to the loud, heavy bass that was playing from the radios. Usually I didn’t mind, but before I was picked up, I had been singing along to ballads. The change in sound was dramatic enough for me to have me react.

“Where do you want to go, Jongwoon?” Shindong asked, bouncing on the seat next to me, his face excited.

I shrugged, scanning my friends. They were a nice crowd, but soccer was there life. I loved soccer, but singing was just as important. I sometimes felt bad I wasn’t honest with my friends, but what could I do? The last thing I wanted was people laughing at me.

 “Let’s go to the club on Maple Street,” Shindong suggested, turning away from me to face front.

“Nah, we went there yesterday,” Donghae piped up, turning the steering wheel.

“So? Hot chicks are there.”

“Man, they wouldn’t be impressed if they saw the size of your-“

“WATCH OUT!” I yelled as I saw a deer cross the street.

“Are you serious-AHHH!” Donghae turned away from me and quickly stomped on the brakes. But by then it was too late.

I covered my head with my arms, hearing the inevitable sound of glass break and metal bending.
