In this society, coloring outside the lines isn’t tolerated. Even if you try to follow alongside the lines and slightly deviate in the process, you’ll be labeled for the rest of your life. You’ll be thrown away like trash, with no rights, no name. You’d be lucky if born in a rich family and unlucky if born in a poor one. There is no such thing as climbing up ranks. Resistance is oppressed, thinking outside the box is oppressed and individuality is too. But the difference between the ones that accidently deviate and the ones that deviate on purpose is; the ones thinking outside the box are willing to fight back. 

It's the year 2061 and the world in devided in big regions who have their own leaders. What was once Korea, is now part of a bigger east region. The story follows Cha Kisum, a girl from the upper class. There is a clear line between rich and poor in this new world, there is no such thing as the middle class. She's not happy with the way she lives and seeks her own freedom, even if she seems to possess anything a girl would want; parents, clothes, make-up, money, friends, even a crush. She has a change of hearts seeing how the lower class is being treated. They practically serve the upper class. While the upper class parties all the time, the lower class' cooks and waiters are there to serve them. If you're father is a shoemaker, you'll have to follow in his footsteps and that all to serve the upper class in return for scarce food and an almost unreasonable living place. Showing any signs of freedom preaching, resistance or individuality can cause you to lose all your rights. You'll be dropped out of society with no chance of coming back. But what the leaders don't know; these people are growing more and more in numbers and are willing to take over by force. Even they knew it was coming sooner of later, but the size of it will be a shock to everyone. Cha Kisum changes her name to Kalila and joins the revolutionary army where every single one of them has a story and struggles of their own. They all fight to make a change.
