so i just watched exo's teaser for "Lucky One" and can i just say,
the mv reminded me so much of this fic that after watching it,
i came here to post this comment lol
like really, if you haven't watched it-
the teaser looks like the lab where they experimented on the kids!
+ they've got the liquid that made everything possible! (the mv had it black tho and not neon blue)

Chapter 8: ((I swear I'm alive, I'm fighting a losing battle with course work ack))
You used Chaeri's birthday as a scene, I was so happy to see that!!!! And then how close she is with Yuna just hurts me (as it does when I see those four interact with anyone -- it's so sad and it's going to be hard when that chapter goes up for sure). You absolutely nailed Chaeri's fear of her Chinese heritage, how quickly she sinks into panic, ahhhhh I love it. Thank you for including that in there!!
Then the scare of not knowing, and seeing that small moment with Soonkyu and Jiae is bittersweet, mostly because I think it shows that the caretakers DO care about the kids, but ultimately need to be able to keep a distance considering what comes next. Dani's disappearance is also really worrying, but it definitely sets up for the next set of events. I'm excited!!!!
Access code: Honestly i was too distracted by the fact that there was a WHALE (my favorite animal) but going back and watching it, it's actually quite nice!! I hope they let Kai/Sehun sing more, they do have rather nice voices, don't you think? (:

It was sort of sad to see that Chaeri didn't like her Chinese heritage, I wonder how that'll pan out since it looks like she paired up with Tao??? ouo ((hasn't looked at the list in like y e a rs whoops))
I'm squeaking because of Jiae and Soonkyu because like I HAD THIS LITTLE HEADCANON THAT SOONKYU JUST LOVES JIAE SO FREAKING MUCH AND WOULD DO ANYTHING TO HER AND THEM EMBRACING LIKE THAT AND SOONKYU LOOKING RELIEVED JUST MAKES MY HEART REALLY HAPPY AND HURT AT THE SAME TIME AAAAAh
The suspense is twisting my insides, knowing what's going to happen and knowing that even if it's a story, I'm still hopelessly attached to the characters and it'll hurt when some of them go -- but as the story develops it'll be even more interesting, especially with all of the pairs being split off.
On another note, I FORGOT SEHUN COULD SING AND THEN HE DID AND I WAS LIKE "....OH DANG HERE WE G O" it was lifechanging just saying.

Chapter 8: My goodness! You updated! I'll give this a good read over once I've got my laptop again. ^^

Chapter 8: i was so pleasantly surprised to see an update, it's been a while!
i didnt realize i had accidentally pressed unsubscribe at one point
that would've been ugly if i hadn't fixed that omg. so first of all,
just as always, another great chapter, i love how the story builds
with all the diving into the character's heads & seeing interactions
between them shows so much progress. seeing the caretakers
have to follow orders & not be able to explain anything to the
poor children breaks my heart, i wonder what is going through
their heads, how much remorse they feel or if they feel anything
at all. it's not easy at all to act like everything's fine. loved the
focus on soowon, her and everyone else's growing concern for
dani. they already feel a bit wary but just when they don't feel
her usually loud/joyful/comfy presence, it's just so unsettling
it means so much & adds so much to the build up. thanks for
the update, i know how hard it must be to sit down & actually
get working. im sure a lot of the applyfic community has been
busy (i know i've been) no one rly has time anymore tbh, so
don't be too worried & discouraged abt that!!! as for the access
code, LMAO i haven't listened to any of exo's recent stuff as i've
lost all interest in them tbh

Chapter 8: i saw this updated and thought i was seeing things
what a pleasant surprise to wake up to this morning. the majority of this chapter had my heart beating so fast, the suspense totally there as the shift in atmosphere became more and more present. there was an uneasiness just plaguing this with small little pleasures to ease the fears away (such as sunny's sweet maternal instinct coming out as she is able to deflate in relief - at least i think this is what it is?)
then dani's disappearance on top of that... man the story is definitely starting to pull towards its darker roots that we all knew it possessed but refused to acknowledge. i honestly don't even know what to make of dani's behavior and disappearance for a few days or the growing suspicion that is breaking the peace that laid within the children. another seriously well done chapter guys.
for the access code: i gaped more than shrieked haha so no decibels for me. i seriously loved sing for you. mellow songs like that work well for them. plus girl x friend wowza

But anyways, this chapter is lovely as usual, and to address the access code, I think it'd bee cool to have a girly SM artist like Tiffany. She'd be such a pro on life and doll me up 24/7.

Chapter 7: Regarding the access code: HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM if i were one of the kids and had to pick a caretaker, I think I'd pick Junsu from you know... DB5K T_____________T (not sure if you still consider him from sm!)
But i think he'd be the best caretaker!! His dolphin laugh would entertain the crap out of me, but on top of that, he's humble and caring and if you've seen that really old episode of star king where dbsk met mini dbsk, you'd see how well he treats kids!
Idk, i just love him ≧◡≦ love him to death, i think he'd look after his assigned kid really well, kind of like how Victoria does in the story - by buying toys, telling stories, etc. c:
