Chapter 5
Our Arranged MarriageKrystal POV
"What did you say? Kill joy? Oh please, Mr. Kang." I said in annoyance, he chuckles sarcastically
"Mrs. Kang, it's true. You're not even enjoying yourself. Have fun for once." Minhyuk replies, I was a bit taken back
"Whatever, I'm tired. I'm getting out" I said, getting up from the water. He too stood up. As I was getting up, the bottom of the lake became slippery, making me loose balance and almost going back to the water again but Minhyuk was there to catch me
It was like the sun was shining so brightly behind him when I looked up, it was like there was light coming from him. Very angel like, my breathing became uneven at the sight
"You alright?" He asks me with concern in his voice, I turned red. He helped me got up fully, and I couldn't look at him straight in the eye
"Uh—yeah." I stuttered a bit, he smiles. We both got out of the water and started to laugh.
"I don't think there's towels here" I said as I looked around, he chuckles
"No kidding, hey, why don't you just take off your clothes" Minhyuk teases me, I became ultimately red, hitting hard on his arm, making him groan in pain
"What was that for? Ouch, you know that really hurts" He starts to whine, I stuck out my tongue and laughed
"That is for being a e, asking me to take off my clothes. Who are you exactly?" I said, he laughs at me
"Name is Kang Minhyuk, proud husband of the beautiful Krystal Kang." He says with a smile on his face, I roll my eyes. Yeah sure, proud husband alright
"Let's head back, I'm really tired." I say, going to a different topic. I start to walk away but soon after, Minhyuk grabbed my hand, making me stop
"What?" I asked, turning around, looking at him straight in the eye. He remains quiet. I repeat it again but sounded a bit angry
"What do you really want now? Seriously Minhyuk, come—" I was cut off when he started to speak. There was something different in his eyes when he spoke
"I just want to hold your hand" He says, smiling embarrassingly. I was flustered but I tired to not show it.
"That's it? Aish, come on. I'm getting cold and hungry" I said, pulling him. But really deep inside, my heart was beating crazy, it was really uncontrollable. He laughs as he trails behind me.
In a matter of minutes we reached the rest house and I immediately went to the master bedroom's bathroom and started to shower without even thinking of bringing a towel with me
"Shoot, I don't have a towel." I said to myself, mentally cursing myself. I don't want to peek out the door and ask Minhyuk to bring one for me, I feel embarrassed
I took the courage I had left inside of me and peeked through the door, calling out Minhyuk for assistance
"What do you need, wifey? Let me guess, a towel?" He says, biting my lip as I nod in agreement. Minhyuk went somewhere and when he came back, he was holding out a towel, I grabbed it while thanking him
As I got out, there were clothes already by the door. How could this be? I just picked it up and went back inside the bathroom to change into it. As I got out from changing into the clothes, I went out of the bedroom and looked for Minhyuk
As I was closing the door, Minhyuk was coming up from downstairs. We stopped walking and stared at one another for a while
"Uh—you're changed—lets go eat, I cooked a little" He said, kinda stuttering. Minhyuk was already dried and changed into newer clothes. He left ahead, I followed
When I entered the dining room, there were a few dishes laid out. It smelled promising. I took my seat and waited for Minhyuk
"Smells good,chef. Better taste good too" I as Minhyuk walked in carrying plates and spoons. He laughs at my remark
"Don't worry, I'm sure you'll like it." He responds with a smile, I smiled back. Minhyuk placed the plates on the table as well as the spoons, as soon as I got mine, I started to pick out the food
"Hungry?" Minhyuk asks, I shyly smile, nodding. He laughs as he took his seat next to me.
"Eat up, wifey!" Minhyuk says, I start to laugh. I had such a fun time, we talked whatever came to our minds first, we also teased and joked around. It honestly felt great to just talk and joke around, it was very stress free and I got to really enjoy myself
