Chapter 4
Our Arranged MarriageKrystal POV
"Let go Minhyuk." I say as I removed his hands around my waist. I didn't know why I suddenly became awkward around him. I guess it was the thought of having a 'honeymoon'. It scared me but for unknown reasons
"Aww, you're no fun." Minhyuk says, sadly. I turned around, facing him. He was pouting like a little boy who lost his candy. I teasingly cupped his cheeks and pinched his cheek
"Ow" Minhyuk says, rubbing his cheek. I laughed and stuck out my tongue. This is fun, teasing him and seeing his reaction. It was cute, in a way
"Are you ready to go on the honeymoon?" He asks me, I nonchalantly nod. Whatever his plans maybe, I have to act properly and not be childish
"Good, get changed and we'll head out."Minhyuk says, I nod and headed to the bedroom. I picked out my clothes, choosing a causal yet chic outfit. I freshened up and changed into the clothes. I lightly applied makeup, not too much and also brushing my hair
As I got out, Minhyuk was already downstairs by the staircase, dressed and ready to go. I looked at his outfit and it was very similar to mine. Couple outfits?
"Aren't we matching?" Minhyuk says sarcastically as he looked up from his phone and looked at I was wearing. I rolled my eyes and he laughs a bit
"Let's go?" He says, reaching out his hand. I was clueless, was I suppose to take out my hand and hold it? So I just stared at it until he grabbed my hand and intertwined together
"Clueless or what?" He mumbles lowly but I could still him hear. Well it is true, I was actually clueless. We got out of the house and went inside the car. He started the car and off we went to where ever he planned.
The first few minutes were quiet between us. Only the sound of music coming from the music filled the air. It was not until Minhyuk broke the silence, which I was thankful for once
"Are you still curious on where we are going?" Minhyuk asks, I nod. I thought of all the possible places we could go. Beach? Park? Mall? Theme park? Carnival? A fair?
"I rented out this rest house out in the countryside for the week. There's a lake nearby and I heard there's many activities to do there. I think there's activities like biking, kayaking, swimming, and I heard there's a newly developed zipline" Minhyuk says
"Now call that a honeymoon." I commented, he smiles. I was really excited, it sounds like fun.
"Wait, we didn't bring clothes. Husband, what are we going to do now?" I said worriedly, looking at him in despair, he chuckles
"Didn't I say I got everything and Don't worry about a thing? Let me repeat it, don't worry, I got this. Give me some trust will you?" He says, I sigh. I guess he's right, I should give him a little more trust
Once again, silence was between us. Music was only thing that was loud enough to hear. I tried to not make myself fall asleep but I guess it didn't work
It felt like hours passed by and when I woke up, we were already pulling up in front of the rest house. It wasn't too big, you could it was just right. Everywhere else was green and the wind was chilly a bit, it was perfect
"Oh you're awake. I was going to wake you up. We're here, you stay put. I'll open your door" Minhyuk says, with a smile before getting out. He did open my door, he was a gentleman alright
"Here you go, my lady." Minhyuk says, bowing. It was like back in those old times which made me laugh inside. He's so corny, it's cute
He reached out his hand and this time, I knew what I am suppose to do. He chuckles when I placed my hand on top of his and I smiled, embarrassingly. It really did look like we were newly weds, a little awkward with each other.
As we got inside the house, it shocked me at how big it is. Although the exterior of the house looked quite small, but the interior of it was massive. It was really spacious, really clean
"Well this is a surprise. It's so spacious. The outside of it doesn't look like this, it's a nice change." I said, looking around with widen eyes
"I'm glad you like it, it's nice right?" Minhyuk says, chuckling. I suddenly noticed that we were still holding hands making me blush a bit. It got me thinking, is he taking this seriously?
"Yeah, it is. Come on, let's go tour this house" I said, pulling him. Minhyuk chuckles. We toured every room in the house, it was so spacious and looks comfy
"Where's our room?" I asked, he smiles as pulled me away. Even the door to it looked grand, with its intricate carving and such. It was like it was from a palace
As Minhyuk opens the door, he lets go of my hand, walking a head of me. It was huge inside, it was like a suite of a hotel. He stands in the middle of the room, waiting for me
Call it magic or what not, when I reached him, he was already holding a bouquet of flowers. I swear, Minhyuk can have different surprises right under the palm of his hands
"You need to warn me next time when you're going to do something impossible" he chuckles, I laugh a long.
He hands over the bouquet and I took it in my hands. It was a mixture of daisies and sunflowers, perfectly wrapped and it did smell good. I thanked him with a smile as he smiles back at me
"Let's go to the lake, we can walk to it. It's just down the hill." Minhyuk says, leaving a head of me. Soon after, I follow. What he said was true, from the house to the lake, it's a walking distance. Around the lake was green and filled with many trees, it was cool and brought a chilly wind
"Okay, so what are we going to do here?" I asked when we stopped walking. He shakes his head but still smiling, I was confused
"What do you think? What activities do you normally do at a lake?" He asks with sarcasm, I rolled my eyes
"I don't know, that's why you tell me, so I'll know" I responded with the same sarcasm as he was using, Minhyuk starts to laugh after noticing that I gave the same sarcasm as him
"Well, my dear wife, the activities you can do at a lake is swimming. But I don't think you want to swim without having clothes with you. So another activity will be doing is kayaking. How does that sound?" He slowly responds, I widen my eyes with excitement when I heard the words 'kayaking'
"REALLY?! KAYAKING? Let's go now!" I said pulling him, I heard him chuckling but stops me along the way
"Do you even know where to go, wife?" He ask, No, I don't. I really don't
"Husband, that's why you lead me and I'll follow." I said with a little sass, he laughs. Now it was his turn to pull me, and I'm following from behind.
I had a feeling that we're going by the dock, and I was right. As we got closer to it, I saw that there was a couple of kayaks. I gripped my hold on Minhyuk's hand with excitement and he knows it
"You sure are squeezing real tight." He said smiling at me, I let go and let out a shy smile
"Sorry. I'm too excited" I said, smiling shyly. He laughs, nodding.
"I'm sure you'll have fun. Let's go" he says,grabbing my hand and pulling me towards the dock. Since the kayak can fit two people and one can only paddle, Minhyuk chose to paddle
"Are you sure you know how to paddle?" I asked laughing. As we were paddling, the look on his face was like he was having a hard time. We were going all different directions, it was funny
"Uh yeah. I know how. Just a little rusty" Minhyuk replies with uncertainty in his voice. I laugh, he can be cute when he doesn't try to
"A little? Maybe you're rusty a whole lot. Look Husband, don't try to give an impression to me when you're paddling, you will loose concentration" I teased, he looked shocked at what I said
"Trying to impress you? Wife, your thinking none sense. And maybe your right, I am rusty at paddling. Do you want to give it a try then?" Minhyuk says, I reached out my hands as if it's like I'm asking for the paddles. He laughs as he handed over the paddles
"Now you're impressing me with this skills you have with paddling. I didn't know you have this in you" He says, I stuck my tongue laughing
"There's a lot of things you don't know. You'll be impressed with me when you see" I say, boasting a little
"Sure why not, I'll be impressed alright" Minhyuk says mockingly, playing rolling his eyes, I laughed
As I paddled around the lake, me and Minhyuk were having a time of our Own, we talked, laughed, teased. I had a fun time
"Look out!" Minhyuk says, I ignored him. Being so arrogant, I was too into the moment that I didn't take notice that we were nearing the dock and was going to tip over anytime soon
And I was right, the kayak tipped over and we were soaking wet. We laughed it out and went a head and rest on the dock
"Some skills you have" Minhyuk teased, laughing. Wiping the water coming down his face. I rolled my eyes but later laughed
"Like you can do any better." I responded, he laughs.
"Want to try?" Minhyuk says
"Ha, next time. I'm too tired to compete" I declined, he starts to laugh
"Well you just don't want to admit defeat that's why you're saying that" He replies, I gasped. Oh no he didn't
"Oh please, don't sweat it" I said back
"Whatever you say Ms. Sassy Pants" he says, I rolled my eyes in annoyance
"Let's go back, were soaked. We might catch a cold if we stay longer." I said as I got up. He reached out his hand, asking for help. I helped him but what I least expected, he pulled me back to water
"YAAA!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" I shouted annoyingly, he starts to roar up a laughter, I glared at him but still he continues
"I didn't know you could so tensed, gee loosen up, wife. It's a honeymoon, not a sourmoon" Minhyuk blabbers, I got annoyed so I splashed water at him
"Hmph, whatever Mr. Kang" I said annoyingly, he laughs once more
"Mrs. Kang, my wife, enjoy our time here. Loosen up and have fun. Have fun well because you got the best husband anyone could ask for" Minhyuk teases
"Yeah, an arrogant one too" I mumbled, but I knew he heard it which was I wanted
"Well you're no better" Minhyuk says
"Arrogant" I said
"Kill joy" He replies
