Chapter One
Our Arranged MarriageKrystal POV:
I always dreamt of becoming my mother when I grew up and I still am. My mother is a sweet and caring lady and I could imagine how my father fell in love with her.
When I was younger, I would always tell myself that one day, when I'm the right age, I'll find my very own husband and be like my parents. I could see the way my father shows his love to my mother and I always get giddy, thinking when can I be like that?
But fate has its own plans for me and its plan is getting me into an arranged marriage with a complete stranger. There's a saying that love can spark within the depths of each other but I highly doubt that, especially now being in this so called 'marriage'
I've met my 'fiancé' a couple of times, we introduced each other and know a little about one another. My 'fiancé' is tall, handsome and looks nice but I can never be sure of it
Although he is two years older than me, he never bothered me to call him Oppa, so I decided to just call him by his first name, Minhyuk.
"Krystal-ah, are you ready to get into this marriage?" He asks me, I didn't really know how to respond. Right now, my parents instructed me to go out with him and I couldn't decline them, so me and Minhyuk were strolling around the mall before going to the park and having a mini picnic
"Honestly, it scares me."I replied, he smiles a bit. Thinking how the wedding is coming closer, it really does scare me. Thinking that, soon enough instead of being Krystal Jung, now it's Krystal Kang
"Me too. It really does. We barely know each other and the thought of you being my wife is beyond what I expected" Minhyuk says, I could tell that there was a hint of sadness.
"I know. But we're here already, there's no turning back. The wedding will happen in 2 weeks and I still can't get over the fact that I will be a Kang instead of a Jung." He chuckles a bit, I smile along
"Don't worry, I'll take care of you even if this an arranged marriage." He says, assuring me. I blushed a bit, I was suddenly flustered. I suddenly lost words, I didn't what to say next. We stayed silent for a while, the silence made me think of our future relationship, is this what our relationship going be filled with? Silence?
"Why don't we be like friends? Let's get comfortable with each other and we'll see where it will lead us. Who knows, we might fall in love with each other." He says, teasing me. I laugh, we can't possibly fall in love with each other, can we?
"Okay. Let's be friends." I said, smiling. He smiles back. I noticed that when he smiles, he has a charming one, it was if its really genuine
We both may not know what's ahead of us, but it's what fate has brought. I'm really curious on where our arranged marriage will take us. I just know that whatever it maybe, I'll give my best
