Yunsung dreamily sighed as she watched the prince elegantly play the piano. She leaned against the door with the tray of cookies in her hands. He suddenly stopped playing when he made eye contact with her.
Yunsung gasped and bowed her head. Seokjin softly smirked, "Come in." Yunsung kept her head low and set the tray of cookies on the table beside the piano.
She was about to leave when he patted the space on the cushioned bench next to him. "Sit down."
Yunsung blushed and stood standing. Seokjin patted the space again. She thanked him and sat down.
"Do you know how to play?" Yunsung shyly shook her head. She didn't dare to look at his face. One, because he was the prince. Two, because she thought that she would faint just by one look. That would be embarassing.
"I'll teach you." He grabbed her hands and set them on the keys. Yunsung's blush grew brighter as he helped her play a simple song. "Your hands are really soft."
"Thank you," Yunsung smiled. Seokjin looked at her in awe. She's beautiful. "Can I..."
"Hm?" Yunsung looked at him and gasped when he leaned in. She shut her eyes and puckered her lips. She could feel his breath right in front of her. "Yunsung."
"Yes, prince?"
"Yunsung!" Yunsung opened her eyes when someone slammed their hand on the counter in front of her.
The headmaster glared at her and shoved a tray of cookies in front of her. "Go take this to the prince."
"Y-Yes, headmaster Jung." Yunsung took the tray and scolded herself as she left the kitchen.
Yunsung walked up the stairs and knocked on the big double doors that opened to the ballroom. No one answered but she heard music from inside. He must be practicing.
She carefully opened the door and froze. Seokjin was wearing a semi-formal attire and ballroom dancing around the empty floor. She almost drooled as she watched him from the doorway.
Seokjin turned and his eyes widened when he saw her. He stopped the music and smiled at her. "Come in."
Yunsung quickly fixed herself, pretending that she wasn't just staring at him, and walked inside. She set the tray down at table next to the... Piano. Yunsung felt herself blush from embarassment.
Yunsung bowed and turned to leave. "You can stay if you want to."
Her heart fluttered but she knew it was wrong. She quickly spun around and rejected his offer. "I have to go clean the bedrooms-"
"I saw you doing that earlier." Yunsung shut her eyes and mentally facepalmed herself. Seokjin chuckled and smiled at her. "I want you to stay."
Yunsung looked at him and couldn't utter a single word, so she just nodded and sat down at the side of room when the wall was all glass.
Seokjin turned the music on and started to dance again. He looked so graceful, spinning around and taking careful steps. The sun shining from the glass window made him glow and enhanced his handsome features.
Yunsung didn't know if she was allowed to sit here and watch. It felt like a sin to just think about the prince for a low-class like her. The thought that she'll never have a chance with him dulled her spirit.
"Ah!" Yunsung's thoughts were interrupted. She gasped and ran over to the prince who was lying on the ground.
"Are you okay? Should I call someone?" She got up to leave but he grabbed her wrist. "I'm okay. I just-" He held her hand and she helped him stand up.
"Are you sure you didn't sprain your ankle or anything?"
Seokjin grinned and ruffled her hair. "Yes, I'm sure. Thanks for asking." Her heart thumped as he touched her hair.
"Do you want to help me?" Yunsung's eyes widened, "Oh, I don't know how to danc-"
"I just need a partner for this one part of the dance. Can you?" He held his hand out. She hesitantly stared at it.
Seokjin didn't wait longer and held her hand with one hand and held her waist with the other, pulling her close. "Don't worry. I won't let you fall."
Yunsung looked away as she felt blush creep up her cheeks. Seokjin took the first step and she followed his lead.
He smirked, "You're an expert."
"You're just a good leader."
They continued to dance until the song ended. Seokjin kept his hands on her waist as she smiled at him. "That wasn't as bad as I thought it would be."
"I need a partner." He abruptly blurted it out, taking Yunsung by surprise. "W-What?"
"I need a partner for the upcoming Grand Ball, and I think you're perfect."
Yunsung opened to speak but couldn't form any words.
"Are you worried about my mother? You don't have to worry. I'll speak with her. And I'll tell my tailors to create the perfect gown for you."
Seokjin smiled, "So, what do you say?"
Yunsung nodded, and his smile grew wider. "Great. Meet me here tomorrow so we can practice again."
He winked at her before walking out of the room.
