Sunny brought the two to her workplace for a rest, after walking for a long time in the mart. Yoona sat in front of the two little lovebirds and continues to observe them.
“So.. you guys like each other since young?” Yoona interrupted the two, who are behaving very lovingly, as though no one else is there.
“Huh? Mm.. You can say so..” Taeyeon replied, after giving Sunny a small pinch on her cheek.
“Yea..” Sunny nodded, agreeing to what Taeyeon had just said. Suddenly, she felt something vibrating vigorously. It was her phone.
“Excuse me.” Sunny excused herself and went to a corner to pick up the call. Of course, after receiving a smack on her by Taeyeon.
“Ahh... I envy you... How does it feel like to be in love?” Yoona rested her head on the table, feeling a little left out.
“Mm... “ Startled by the sudden question, Taeyeon lagged for a moment. “Warm and sweet...? But it is definitely not something to be envious of. It’s a girl-girl relationship.”
“I don’t mind. As long as it’s love, I believe it would be sweet and good.” Yoona smiled, as someone eventually came into her mind. Sooyoung.
“You don’t mind? But I think someone would..” Taeyeon is obviously referring to the over-protective girl.
“Huh?” Being too deep into her thoughts, Yoona did not hear what Taeyeon had just said.
“Nothing.” Taeyeon replied, not wanting to bring up the over-protective issue. Noticing that her girlfriend is done with the call, she waved excitedly and called out sweetly to her.
“Sunny~”
“Sorry.. Taengoo, guess who just called?” Sunny waved her phone in front of Taeyeon’s face as she pulls her chair and sits down.
“Who who who?” Taeyeon grabbed Sunny’s hand and held it tightly with hers, as she shows off her rapping skills with her famous ‘who’ rap.
“It’s Fany~”
“Fany! How’s her life in America?”
“From what she says, I think she is doing great. And a piece of good news. Want to hear?”
“Oh? What is it?”
“Fany, is going to come to Korea! To study with us!”
“REALLY? That great~! We are finally together again~”
“And she would be coming with her special someone~”
“Ohh~ Everyone is falling in love these days~”
“Err.. Sorry to interrupt.. But I really feel left out and.. who’s Fany?” Yoona interrupted the two excited shorties.
“Another childhood friend, who went to America when she is at the age of four.” Taeyeon replied with a big smile on her face.
“I see... Anyway, I’m going home. For these.” Yoona stood up and showed Taeyeon the grocery bags in her hand.
“Ah! I almost forget... Let’s go, Sunny~ Let’s make it together~” Taeyeon, for no reason, got excited again. In fact, she never really did calm down since just now, after Yoona knew about their relationship.
“Okay.. Bye Yoona.” Sunny calmed the overly excited kid beside her as she waved to Yoona.
“Bye lovebirds.” Yoona responded, grinning.
“Sooyoung said that too.. Bye~” Taeyeon waved, as she clings on to her short girlfriend and went off, leaving Yoona alone.
She did? Yoona thought to herself, upon hearing what Taeyeon had just said, and giggled at the thought.
Meanwhile, in a mart near to Sooyoung’s house, Yuri and Sooyoung are shopping for the ingredients that they need. After paying for the items, both of them carried the grocery bags to a bench nearby to check if they had got everything.
“Mm.. we got all the ingredients, right?” Yuri asked, as she studies the shopping list in her hand.
“Yea..” Sooyoung replied, taking out and putting back the items from the grocery bags.
“Okay. Let’s go then.”
“O..oh.. sure..”
The two girls strolled down the streets quietly. There was an awkward atmosphere between the two of them.
“By the way,” Yuri, being unable to keep it to herself anymore, broke the silence to ask the question that she had been wanting to ask, “Are you really making it just for yourself or are you making it for someone else?”
“F.. for my..myself of.. of course... W..why did.. why did you as.. ask?” Sooyoung was shocked by Yuri’s sudden question.
“Nothing. Somehow, I got the feeling that you are planning to give it to Yoong..”
“Hu.. huh? Ac.. Actually.. I ... I wa.. was... B.. But it’s not what you think! I.. I just wanted to thank her for becoming my first friend... Even though I treated her badly at first..”
“Come to think of that.. You did...” Yuri gave Sooyoung a creepy smile, sending shiver down her spine.
“.. Yu.. Yuri... You’re s.. scary..”
“Is that so..?” Yuri looked at Sooyoung, who nodded. “By the way, I didn’t say anything about what I think would be your reason of wanting to give it to Yoong.. Neither did I say that I thought that you like her..”
“Hu... huh? Yo.. You didn’t..? .. E..er.. I.. I guess...”
“... Sooyoung... Do you... really like my sister?”
“Wh.. what?! N.. no!.. Tha.. that’s insane!”
“Good. My sister is not going to be in that kind of relationship. She WILL NOT be in that kind of relationship.” Yuri tries to smile as sweetly as possible, but ended up giving one of her darkest smile.
“Ahh... Don’t.. don’t worry.. I.. I don’t...” Sooyoung felt a sudden pain in her chest. Her heart, is hurting. She did not know why, but it really hurts. She feels like crying but she could not, and not in front Yuri.
It’s only a warning, isn’t it? But.. but why.. why does it hurts so much? I.. I don’t understand...
“Good. Let’s go then?” Yuri’s expression is so much brighter now, clearly showing that she felt relieved and happy about Sooyoung’s answer.
“... I.. I’m sorry, Yuri.. I don’t feel well.. I’m.. I’m not going to do it anymore...” Sooyoung flashes a weak smile, trying to hide her pain and hold in her tears.
“Well, I guess. Have a good rest. See you tomorrow.” Yuri bows slightly and left, taking a short glance at the girl after walking a small distance.
Such coincidence? Sooyoung, do you really like my dear Yoongie? Do you?
Sooyoung stared at the back of the leaving girl for a moment before clutching her chest area, where the pain is coming from. Tears starts to flow as she walked the short distance that seems like eternity, back to her house. She threw the grocery bags aside and went on to her own room, slamming the door close and locking it, and falling onto her bed, letting the tears flow as much as they want to.
It hurts. It really hurts... But why? Aren’t we just friends? Why.. why does it hurts so much to hear her sister giving me such a warning, banning me from... from... Arghh... dammit...
