Description

Yongguk goes to Prague, Eastern European capital and now favourite getaway for ex-Kpop idols. Except he isn't an ex-idol. Kris is. They meet. Prague isn't Seoul and they aren't Kris, leader of EXO-M and Bang Yongguk, leader of B.A.P.

Foreword

I wrote this fic because I wanted to really deal with what happened to Kris and Yongguk and how similar but very different the implications behind their lawsuits are. Also, this has been on my mind ever since Yongguk did that Instagram post about how he was going to Prague. He really did go to Prague but at the same time he knew it was foreshadowing to what going to Prague really meant.

Also today is the day that American Beauty/American Psycho by Fall Out Boy came out. The title of this fanfiction comes from a line from the song Fourth of July, which is a song about the what if's in a relationship. The song is also about Mikey Way the bassist from My Chemical Romance. If you aren't a part of those fandoms, it was basically generally accepted that during Warped Tour 2005, Mikey Way and Pete Wentz dated. It's now 2015 and they both are still writing songs about one another. Almost everyone has that "What if" relationship and for them, it's each other.

So I listened to the song on repeat and I wanted to explore the guilt, the regret, the what if, and how timing is everything and how all of that affected Yongguk and Kris.

Chapter 1: Omg I was so scared you might describe the scene but you didn't Thank god XD I just can't picture them together at all on a physical level so yeah ><

But the whole idea of them being in Prague and talking about their problems which are similar is really nice. I knew Bang was travelling Europe but I didn't quite make the connection with Prague and Kris. But now that you mention it it's super relevant! I can totally picture them bonding over the situations they are in. I love how the city becomes a metaphor. It's really nice, and the whole text has a special atmosphere to it :)

I miss BAP so much already. I hope they fix everything soon and find a better agency and put out awesome music again <3 Yet I hope they found some peace of mind and are able to enjoy their time off without worrying too much :(
