Hyunsoo/you POV

After 9 hours long in flight, finally you’ve arrived at Vancouver. It seems really lonely, deserted, like your heart right now although in reality there are hundreds of people who passing by in the airport. Your leg feels like dead already when you’re trying to stand up from your seat. You’re never ride a plane so you don’t have any experience and know how in riding the plane. Kyungsoo oppa said that Kris oppa will come to fetch you but till the exit door, you’re never seen a shadow of him. Maybe he was late because of his schedules so you’re waiting him for about half an hour before you decided to call your brother

“Oppa..”

“Oh, Hyun is that you? Have you safely arrived there?” Kyungsoo oppa’s voice sounds so worried

“Yes I am, about half an hour ago. You told me that Kris oppa is going to pick me up but I’ve never see him. What should I do now? Should I just take any taxi and find some hotel room?” You have no ideas to think about. You’re so bored by waiting for him to pick you up

“No! Don’t you even dare to think about it. Hyun aah, you’re now at foreign land. You don’t know anyone but Hyung. I’m not there to protect you so you must take care of yourself. Don’t easily get tricked by a stranger. Gosh, I should make a manual book for you and teach you how to defend yourself. Pabo Kyungsoo.” You are laughing by your overly protective oppa

‘If you’re too concern over me, you wouldn’t send me here, oppa’

The only words that couldn’t reach to your lips but can only be said in your heart. Suddenly you are keeping silent on yourself

“Hyun aah, wae guh rae? Anything wrong there?”

“No oppa. Don’t worry too much. I’m already 22. I know how to take care of myself” You’re giggling to hide your true feeling. You don’t want to make your brother worrier. While you’re laughing with his nonsense anxiety, your shoulder was patted by someone. You turned your body and you can see Kris oppa is standing in front of you

“Oppa, Kris oppa is here. Let’s talk later, huh? Bye, I love you”

“So, you’re not waiting for me too long, isn’t?” Kris took your luggage and pulled it. bot of you right now is heading to his car. He is wearing hooded jacket with black sunglass. His white skin is fairer nowadays. Maybe they are right about he is in better condition after leaving EXO. He is asking you questions but you’re just leaving it faded into the air. You’re pretending to not hearing whatever he was going to say.

“So, we’re here! You will be stay here after this. Come, let’s go!” Kris stepped out from the car and took your luggage out of the car boot. You are still in the car while looking blankly at the front of your sight

“Come out” Kris oppa’s voice is so father-like with his sincere smiles. It reminds you of your own oppa, Kyungsoo

“I’ll be staying here? Alone? But this is too big for me isn’t?” Your eyes are wandering around the two storey of white house in front of you. There are mini garden in the yard and terrace at the rooftop. It was beautiful.

“This is my old house. My family has already moved to Hong Kong so no one is living here. There will be a worker to clean out this house in every week so you don’t have to get worried much. Security system in this neighborhood is also tip top. Your academy is not too far from here so you can go by my car” Kris has already pulled you into the house and he handed you the house and car keys

“But oppa…”

“Shh.. I know I’m cool right? You’re already fallen with me right? Don’t say it more, I knew it..” Kris is so confident with his charm. He winked and raises his brows to you with his killer smile. His act was just made you laugh out loud

“Oppa…what are you?” And you’re laughing, again.

“Wae? You’re fallen for me because of my kindness right?” Kris is dumbfounded by your laugh. He is now scratching his-non-itched hair

“Normal people wouldn’t admit that.” Yeah indeed, only Wu Yifan could make a bold statement like that. You’re only shrugged your shoulder and walked passed him to your room

“Kyaah! Any girl would fall for me you know!” Kris tried to talk longer but you’re not going to join his topic, but shut yourself in your room

“Okay then, let’s meet for the dinner” Kris surrendered by your silence. He knew it; he couldn’t do anything to make you feel any better

On that night, you choose to sit alone on the terrace. You’re watching the bright sky with lots of stars. Somehow it made your pain a bit relieved. Up till now, you can’t bear to watch your face in the mirror. It looks so disgusting, that long scar on your face. Gently, you touched your scar and you can feel tears are running down from your eyes. You’re cried silent without making any sound to avoid Kris’s attention. You’re just wanted to be alone in this moment. There are so many things played in your mind right now. Your family, you missed them too much, and you missed him too. Your lips could tell thousands lies about him but your heart just couldn’t do it. Not for seconds, you’re forgetting him. It hurts you so much that you feel like crying every time you remembered about him but the tears just wouldn’t come out more. It’s all dried up. Because of love, you’ve thrown to this ‘deserted’ place. With nothing in your mind, no one besides Kris and you need to live your life, here. It sounds mean to someone who just cured from her trauma but you understand your oppa’s concern. He just didn’t want you to suffer anymore and this is the only choice.

“Oppa, halmeoni… I miss you guys so much. Please bring me back. I don’t want to stay here. Please oppa” You tried to sweep your tears but it keeps poured down

Author’s POV

“Uhm.. excuse me. Hyunsoo, are you done crying? Let’s go to have a dinner. I’m hungry” Kris peeked on Hyunsoo who is now looking down to the floor while hiding her face with her hands

Hyunsoo ignored him. Unknowingly, he came closer and loosens her hands. He is taken aback by Hyunsoo’s look. She looks very miserable with her all red, damped face and puffed eyes.

 “Let’s have some food. You’re not touching anything since this early morning” Kris talked in a very soft tone. Hyunsoo felt like Kyungsoo is talking to her right now. She has some delusions about him, maybe because of her depressed emotion

“Oppa…I miss you” Hyunsoo looked upon him. She started to cry again

“Hyunsoo, it’s me, Yifan oppa” Kris grabbed her hands to calm her down. He knows he needs to have high patience to deal with her.

She is in great shock right now. Just two years ago, he was told that Jongin has succeeded in cured her trauma. Now, she is on it again and it’s all because of him. He knows all EXO’s news although he wasn’t a member anymore. He is still tracked down s activities after what he has been through on past. Yifan knew well about Hyunsoo and Jongin’s tragedy and when Kyungsoo told him about her, he is quickly offers to help. Although she has nothing to do with him, not even blood related, but she is still a family member of him. He could still remember when Hyunsoo is becoming a lively girl. She is too adorable in everyone’s eyes. She calls every members of Exo as her brother and she is so close to them. Now, that lively eyes is dead again. Kris could sense a fear, trauma, and pain in every corner of her eyes.

“Huh? I want Kyungsoo oppa. Where is Kyungsoo oppa? Where is halmeoni? Oppa, halmeoni, where are you guys?” And Hyunsoo bawled while her eyes wildly finding for people who aren’t here

“Do Hyunsoo!”

“You must be scared of my scars aren’t you? Go away! I know people are disgust to see me. You can go oppa. I want to go back to Seoul. I want to be with halmeoni and oppa. Only those two who can accept me”

Kris has no choice but to give her a hug. A warm hug that should calmed her down.

“Gwenchana. Oppa’s here. I will protet you on behalf of Kyungsoo. He loves you. Everyone loves you so much.” Kris patted Hyunsoo’s head.

“I’m scared. I can’t pretend more. I’m really scared. Help me oppa” Hyunsoo cried on Kris’s chest. She is not tall enough to get on his shoulder. After a minute, a grumbled sound was heard from Kris’s stomach. Both are freeze for 2 seconds

“It’s okay. You can cry as much as you want. Let out your feelings but now let’s go eat. Oppa is too hungry now.” Kris smiled dumbly

“Oppa!” Hyunsoo slaps him softly on his chest. He just doesn’t know when to be in serious mode doesn’t him?

“Come. Palli!”

“You can go alone. I don’t feel to eat any now” Hyunsoo kindly refused. Actually she has no confident to face people with her look. She could still remember how she made a baby cried on a flight because of her scar. People are also look at her with different meaning. She realized that was all because of her look. With a really short hair, limped walk and long scar on her cheek, just who are blind people who wouldn’t look at her differently?

“Is it because of this?” Kris tried to touch on her scarred cheek but Hyunsoo is quickly avoids his hand.

“Don’t be troubled about this. People aren’t perfect. They must have flaws to be a human. If you’re too perfect then you’re not a human but an angel. Do you really wish to be an angel, Hyunsoo aah?”

Silent

“Oppa is here. I will hit everyone who tried to make fun of you. Don’t worry. World is full with colors. Don’t you remembered, how much you want to go outside to see the world? Now it’s your chance. Just because of this tiny flaw, you’re letting go of your wished?”

 “It’s easier to talk because you don’t stand on my feet. You don’t feel what I’ve felt. Don’t try to be a wise person when you guys are just person who cares only about look!” Hyunsoo exploded and she pushed him with her energy. Kris is speechless. He nodded for couple times and then before he left the terrace, he turned his back for the last time;

“Hyunsoo aah, I know it’s hard but please do have faith on person’s heart. Believe in what you have to believe. Don’t act by feelings but mind. Oppa will go first. If you need anything, I’ll be here. Good night, Do Hyunsoo”

 

“She had traumatic life from her young life. Since from child, she had believed that she was the cause of her parents’ death. She wouldn’t bulge with her brother and grandmother’s affections because she’s afraid to open up her heart because she’s afraid enough that she would lose them to if she started to get happy over them. Until a new guy came to her life, taught her what love is, her mental fight is come to the end. There is something interesting about this so called mental fight. Every person has their own mental fight. Every second they need to overcome it so that they wouldn’t drown into illusions. In Hyunsoo’s cases, I’m sorry to say but with those weak conditions of her, her soul has been emptied because she has lost in her fight because of her pains and fears. She tried to build a trust in her heart to every person but at the end she was abandoned to this new place with no one. I’m afraid that if this keeps going on, her condition might worsen. She might shut herself and the worst case, she might lose her hope to live” Dr Kevin gave his analyze to Hyunsoo

Dr Kevin is Kris’s schoolmate and his best friend. Kevin is a best psychiatrist in Vancouver city. They chose different path in their live but it doesn’t mean their friendship is also over. Kris had called him to his house to check on Hyunsoo’s conditions. He couldn’t bring her to the hospital to avoid any scandal anymore. He needs to take care of these sensitive issues. He also has told everything about Hyunsoo’s life to him. It’s been 3 days but she doesn’t show any better emotions. She needs to go to school and starts her new life. That was what Kyungsoo hoped for.

“So what should I do right now? I don’t know. Her brother wants to protect her from another assault from those saseng. He knows that he couldn’t protect her in fulltime so that’s why he sends her here but she seems to misunderstand her brother’s intention. She thought he was going to abandon her”

“What she need most right now is affection, a trust, a companion. She couldn’t be left alone. Be her friends. Try to spend more time with her and prove to her that love is actually still existed. That was the best solution”

“But I’m not Kai. He is the only one who could cure her pain, like those old times. You know that I’m busy right? I mean, I’m not her guardian. I need to go back to Hong Kong after this. This is not my place. What should I do?” Kris stole a glance towards Hyunsoo who is watching a TV. He knows that she wasn’t really watched it, though.

“Then find some. It’s hard for you to understand this psychological term that I’ve been explained but simply said, she could gone crazy if no treatment was done. It’s so simple. She needs a companion. Find her a pet. You could also be her long leg ahjussi” Kevin closed his notes. His job is already done for today. He gets nearer Hyunsoo and pats her head. He couldn’t speak Korean and he knows that she couldn’t speak English or French but he still sent her a warm gaze. A gaze that told her that everything was alright and she should be calm down

Later at that night, Yifan brought Hyunsoo to a nice restaurant. Of course, it is not easy to bring her out from her room but with some threat, he manages to make her dress up for their dinner. Although Hyunsoo kept looking down and pouting during their dinner session, it doesn’t make her losses her appetite. At the end, she finished three sets of steak by herself. After that, Yifan brought her to the park for a night walk. Although it is already past midnight, there are still so many visitor and most of them are jogging and cycling around the park. After a long walked, Yifan took a rest on the bench while watching Hyunsoo who is keenly playing with someone’s puppy. From far, he could see her bright look. This was the first time after three days, he could see Hyunsoo’s pure look. Now he knows what he should do before leaving her on next week

Saturday is the weekend day that is crowd with people. Everyone are taking this chance to get rest and hanging out or shopping after 5 days of works. These Monday is going to be a day where Hyunsoo should register for her school but tomorrow Yifan is already need to fly to Hong Kong for his work. so on this last day, he brought her out to buy a present. Yifan brought Hyunsoo to pet shop and he asked her to choose any pet that she would like to take care of. This will be her companion, her friend during her study here. As expected, Hyunsoo’s look is as bright as the children who offered with candies. Without sparing any moment, she goes into the pet shop and took her time to play with every single pet. After almost 2 hours, Hyunsoo decided to choose a white Maltese puppy that caught her eyes from a moment she entered the shop.

From that moment, Hyunsoo’s life changes completely. No more gloom in her look since Kiss, the puppy came into her life. For 5 years she has been stay here in Vancouver, her life has changes. She is back to be an adorable, active, always laughing and bright girl. Her life was surrounded by friends and Kris. Although Yifan is stayed at Hong Kong, he will visit her once in two months. For a week, he spent all his time to her, brought her anywhere around Canada, sometimes they would travel outside of Canada and enjoying their time together. Kris who is a cool guy and has a manga-featured look is a pabo oppa towards Hyunsoo. He would do anything to make her laugh although it made him kind of fool. In two years, Hyunsoo is finally healed from her depression thanks to Yifan who ‘sacrificed’ his time, his image just for her.

Although Kyungsoo couldn’t visit his sister, he made sure that every week, they would have Skype together and it is the time where Hyunsoo can meet with her grandmother and brother. They will talk for hours until there are really no things more to talk about. Hyunsoo is not going back to her hometown even for once for the last 5 years, even on her grandmother’s death day. She is too busy in adapting her new life here and when her grandmother is dead, she has important styling competition and her brother is purposely not told her so that she could focus on her competition more. As a result, she has won and got a chance to make a hairstyle for the supermodel in the Fashion Week in Paris. Starts from that time, her name was well known as the best hair stylist. In just a year and half, she created her name in the global. She always had fresh ideas in styling and that made people believe in her.

Besides from being her healer, Kris has also introduced Hyunsoo to all celebrities that he knows to use her services and that made her well known more. When they are being together, they usually would stay in the home and do the movies marathon. Sometimes, from the morning until late night, the things that had done are just watching movies. Hyunsoo would never watch any movies alone or with her friends but only with Kris. They would go on dates in public and no one ever cares about them. This is not Korea so no sasaeng would harm her except some of the fans would whispers to each other and taking their pictures. News about them are all spread through the Kpop world and both of them became hot topics especially because Hyunsoo is a younger sister to DO of EXO and once be a Kai’s girlfriend. While Wu Yifan is an ex member of EXO and after 5 years he has became hot and famous actor and solo singer in Hong Kong. Of course, most of the malicious comments would go on Hyunsoo because of her status but after 5 years, she has become immune of all those gossips. She has never taken them as a serious matter yet always smiling like nothing happened. Until one day, she decided to go back to her hometown.

“Oppa, I want to go back to Korea” Hyunsoo told Yifan her wishes when they are having barbeque in their backyard house

“What? Are you serious? What did you do to make you thinking like that?” Yifan is obviously surprise by her wishes

“Oppa, it’s time for me to go back. This is not my place. Whatever it is, I still need to meet my brother. I miss him so much and I need to fulfill my promise to them” Hyunsoo munches on the sausages and she gives half of it to Kiss who is playing besides her. Kiss has already grown up now

“A promise? What kind of promise?” Yifan raise his brow

“When I’ve be a professional stylist, I’ll be work with them” Hyunsoo smiles

“So, you’re going to work at SM? Are you crazy? Don you know what they have done to me and Luhan?” Yifan explodes. He just don’t understand Hyunsoo’s mind

Hyunsoo looked at Yifan with puzzled smiles. She knows well what happened. She has already heard on both parties. She knows that Yifan missed s really badly. She is there when Yifan cried because of missing them so much. Everyone could say anything about his cold image but she is the only one who knows him in and out. Because of always being mistreated as a foreigner, he decided to let go of EXO for his bright future. People might say anything but they don’t be at his place and feels him so it’s easier to talk.

“Oppa, I know. I knew it too well but I have my own family. I need to be where my brother’s be. He has missing me a lot and me too.” Hyunsoo calmed him down by his hands.

“You got an offer to Hollywood last week, right? So what are you going to do? Most importantly, how about your heart? What are you going to do when you’re meeting him again?”

“I’ve been thinking it a lot. I’ll work at SM, as my oppas stylist. About him,..” Hyunsoo chuckles a bit before she continues

“Look at my face. There isn’t any scar more right?  You know why I’m rejecting laser treatment? Because I want to believe that as long as the scar is there, it will make me remember about how badly my first love was. When it gone, my memories are also flies with it. I’m understood his act and if I were him, I might do the same thing so now I’m not resenting him anymore. To be clearer, I have no more feelings towards him” For the last words, she laugh out loud

“What about this house? What about me?” Yifan is relieved to know her true feeling but he needs to clarify one more thing.

“Huh? Pardon oppa?” Hyunsoo couldn’t hear clearly because Yifan’s voice is too slow. He is more like talking to himself

“Huh? No, I mean… this house will be empty again” Yifan stuttered as he tried to fix his words. He then smiled foolishly to hide his nervousness.

Yifan doesn’t know when he started to fall in love with Hyunsoo. At first, he is in no doubt that it was just the feeling to protect her from any harm, a feeling to bring her out from her dark world. Day by days, Hyunsoo’s face wouldn’t just get away from his mind. At that time he knew, that he already fall in love with her. Yifan doesn’t confess his true feeling because he is afraid that Hyunsoo couldn’t forget about Kim Jongin yet. That’s why for 4 years, he kept it for himself. Hyunsoo is his first love that’s why he doesn’t know how to react to it. For now, he just enjoyed his feeling. Looking at Hyunsoo has already made him filled with happiness.

“Remember Hyunsoo, this house is always opened for you. Whenever you miss here, just come because this is YOUR HOUSE. Good luck in your new life. I’m always praying that you would find your real happiness.” They had done their barbeque at that night. At last, Yifan ruffled her hair and gives his last words. There is no reason more to come here after this. Although it’s hurt, he still need to let Hyunsoo decided her own life.

p/s: Lots of grammatical errors but i couldnt find more time to fix it all..last week i got bad news.. i need to extend my studies for one more year because of that accident.. :'(  :'(
