They both knew it, there was no denying. The looks in their eyes, the lingering touches full of longing and need that felt way to distant and awkward, the sweet words full of bitter emotions held at bay with the hope that if they are ignored they will simply vanish, the lack of words to express their honest feelings whilst putting on smiles and laughs; it was all painfully obvious.
